Hello everybody. I’m a 38 yo male who was really into barbell training. 3 years ago, while deadlifting, I herniated a disc in my lower back. Thankfully, without surgery, I was able to recover. An epidural got me back on my feet.
Since then I’ve been very, very leery of the major, compound lifts. Squats, deadlifts, military presses, anything that puts strain on my lower back, I’m trying to avoid.
Does anyone have any advice on a strength program? Possibly a dumbbell/calisthenics hybrid? Any help would be appreciated.
