  1. Yeah! Thanks for the Utah resources. I need them too :0)
  2. I know I am not supposed to weigh myself but I couldn't resist. Down 5 pounds after a 3 month plateau. I am really happy :0)
  3. I just went to a BBQ today. My friend was complaining about her daughter eating too much bacon, while the girl also indulges in Doritos. My advice to her, let the girl eat bacon :0) the Doritos are worse.
  4. I am by far not an expert on this but I was eating paleoish as well and I plateaued. I started whole30 and have already broken the plateau. It might be worth looking into. it's paleo to the max, I am diggin it. http://whole9life.com
  5. Bahaha!! It appeals to me BECAUSE...stupid autocorrect
  6. It appeals to me backside I feel like I need the accountability and the support. Also, I don't just want to loose weight I want to be strong and look toned. I feel there is a big difference between being skinny and being fit. I want to be fit. I am not yet pregnant but I have infertility and have had 2 first term miscarriages. I definitely don't want to add to that problem. We are starting treatments again this month.
  7. What is everyone doing for workouts while on the whole30?
  8. So I have a couple of crossfit questions. I am considering joining up but I have a few reservations. I have recently lost 40 pounds with minimal exercise and a strict diet. Went from 225lbs to 185lbs. I tried some intense workouts at home and felt like I was going to pass out so after 2 weeks I stopped. Is crossfit something I can do even in as bad of shape as I am? Will it be something too hard that I will want to quit after two weeks? Working out is my biggest trial with weight loss. I am worried about crossfit might be too intense for me. How long are the classes? Can pregnant women safely participate?
  9. I agree, It Starts With Food is really great. Just got done reading it and it made complete sense to me.
  10. Let me know what they think of it. I am interested. I have just heard its great from friends.
  11. I have a regular period but it did help with my tests when we started trying again. I was able to come off of metformin. I know it has helped me. Plus it's the only thing that has helped me lose weight. I would look at Vitex too. It's an herb that helps women with PCOS and who do not have a regular period. It is not suggested for women who have a regular cycle.
  12. I have PCOS too. We just started treatments with a specialist. We figured it was about time after 6 years of trying and 2 miscarriages. It is nice to get advice from people who have been there done that.
  13. Is there any women out there that are struggling with infertility? I am here trying to get healthier for TTC. We need a support group on here too :0)
  14. So far I love this book. It is interesting and easy to understand. I am starting whole30 soon. Thanks for introducing me to it!!
