  1. tough day... I don´t know what to say. But you are in my thoughts!
  2. Sometimes I think about my motivation and I feel like I´m selfish. I don´t have kids, or any person that I particularly want to inspire, I just want to be the better that I can. If I need to resume in one sentence, it would be: I don´t want to be part of the statistics! In my family we have all sorts of illness that have a genetic component, like diabetics, arthritis, vascular diseases (I already have a not working leg vein), breast cancer, heart attacks, lots of mental diseases, and so on. You name it, I can find a relative that has it. And I want to live a long, health, happy life! Therefore, I´m here!
  3. My thoughts are with you!! With the strenght that Camp give us, you will be able to overcome this with success! For snack, CA use a small pack of almond butter, it is very portable, and you can eat with apples or bananas, 2 very durable fruits, and you increase the good fat and protein. For reading materials, have you read the book that we gain in the camp? I'm reading it, and it is inspiring! But it is good to have a pencil and a notebook nearby, you will have plenty of ideas!! In this situations I would read a good fantasy book. My favorite author, perhaps. You have a good plan, and you will defeat this boss!!
  4. I´m back! lol I´m having a hard time to catch up with everyone, so I will forget that and just jump where I´m... Usually I have a hard time to get my proteins right because I don´t like to eat a lot at dinner, so I bought protein powder and now I´m drinking a protein shake as dinner. I think that I´m in my protein range!

  6. The Atlanta week was awesome! Lots of fun!! Lots of good talks! I learned more about american culture and american civil war. I became Gabe's new pet! And the company... I don't know what to say! Just thanks ChristArtist and WildRoss for the fantastic week!! I'm working on a recap, maybe tomorrow I will post it. I'm working on my Life Epic Quest, maybe tomorrow too, or the next day. About my goals. Move - so far so good. Some amazing days (17000 steps on CNF day 2), and some lazy days (like yesterday, I spent all day on the internet, just 2500 steps) Most of the days I was too tired to do the other workout, and now my knees is hurting a little. I loose the momentum for that, but not for the walking. I will try to do the workout in the mornings, I really need that core strength... Eat - I', not keeping record of what I eat, but in all the meals I'm trying to do the best choice that I have. Sometimes during the last week I ate desert, I ate muffins (I need some carbs in the morning, I prefer fruits or veggies, but muffins was what the hotel had...), I drink calories juices, and some others bad things, but never 2 in a row!! Now I'm at my parents, and I'm trying to do the best choices too. Today I bought whey protein isolate, and now my dinners will be some shake. My basic recipe is banana, apple, some other fruit or carrots, spinach, whey and water. Today the other fruit were watermelon. Delicious!! Drink - At Camp and in Atlanta I was all the time with my water bottle. So plenty of water, I wasn't thirsty for a second. Now I will have to come back to my notes, because I sometimes forget to drink water when I'm at home. But so far so good! And I couldn't keep with the minis just because I didn't have enough time on the internet to look for them...
  7. I will post about my goals when I get to a PC. I just want to say that the NF Camp was amazing!! I did lots of things, learn a lot, eat really well, and keep with my goals. I will have to buy a new belt because my pants are falling! I'm traveling in Atlanta this week, so I'm slow yet on the boards. As soon as I get home and have a PC I will say more.

  10. Just a quick update... I did my workout today, I'm already in 2 L of water (it's 1pm) and I'm not eating much because butterflies on my stomach! lol Everything packed. Everything ready. In 2 hours I take the first bus that will lead me to Camp Nerd Fitness. It will be a long journey: 1h30 bus to another city 1h of waiting in the bus station 2h bus to the international airport 3h on the airport 9 hour overnight flight 5h30 waiting on Atlanta Airport 2h shuttle to Camp And more than 24h later I will arrive!! Wish me luck!
  11. Day 02 - 16/09 Move - In this moment I'm in about 6000 steps. I will move a little more, I'm packing!! But I don't know if I will update here... Eat - Good day! In the range, without any of the non foods. Drink - I already drunk 3 l of water, plus 0.9 L of orange juice, and I will drink some more water latter.
  12. Day One - 15/09 Move - 4600 steps, lazy day.... I experiment my personalized workout, it was fast, exactly what I was expecting! Eat - Terrible day... I ate jelly beans, bread, cream cheese, pasta... And I feel it today. Stomachache... I eat my TDEE... Drink - 3.25 L It wasn't a brilliant start, but not so bad... Today, for the first time since March, I weighed below 78 kg!!! Well, 77.7Kg, and because of a dysfunction on my stomach, but it was nice!!!

  14. Hello there!! Thanks! I put the travels in the equation, this way I'm prepared! Yeah, busy, but having fun!! It's kind a vacation in the middle of the semester. Ow, I just realize that I will be really busy when I came back... ********* I decided to change a little my move quest. Instead of the one day/week workout I will do something simple eveyday. In the spirit of PLP Challenge I came up with one especial to me. My weaker body part is my core, and it is important that I strengthen it, so I don't have back pains again. I will do this workout: Starting with 1 minute jump rope and increasing 10 seconds per day. Push-ups, squats and lunges start in 10 and increased 1 per day. All planks and abs are statics starting with 10 seconds and increasing 1 second per day. Maybe I change the last exercise.

  21. This challenge things will be simple. I will be out of home for most of it. I will travel to Camp in the middle of the first week. Second week I will be in Atlanta. Third and forth week on my parents, them I have a wedding. Them I will travel back home and re-adjust to my routine after more than a month away. Main Quest - Don't lose the momentum. Simple as that! Quest 01 - Move - Walk at least 420000 steps. I walk betweenn 8000 and 10000 steps in a normal day, so with this I want to be on the high side of the range. I will measure in the challenge because I know that I will walk more on some days, and others will be less active. In the spirit of PLP Challenge I came up with one especial to me. Quest 02 - Eat - Eat good! I don't eat corn, wheat, peas, bread, beer, dairy, legumes. One exception/week for bread and beer (I like them too much to do completely without). Keep track of everything on MyFitnessPal, and figure out what macros are good for me. No liquid calories, with the one exception/week. Here I will not include protein smooth. Quest 03 - Drink - Drink at least 3 liters water/day. This is the amount that I'm used to drink, but sometimes, when not in my routine I forget to drink water, so I will keep track of it and don't forget my bottle! Side quest - Do all minis from Rangers and from RPG Fanatics. I will not be able to be here everyday, but I will do my weekly review. I will updated this spreedsheet everyday. So Let's do this!!
