  1. Background When I was 18 I was on a trip with my boyscouts group. I was one of the younger leaders and so we had a few opportunities for hanging out and just having fun. The place where we were staying had some defect train wagons nearby and we often went here. Climbing on the wrackages and doing weird stuff that teenagers do. At a certain moment my phone got to close to a nearby electric cable. My clothes caught fire and while trying tonput out the flames I fell from the wagon. Burn marks, shattered leg, spinal injury and brain damage... I was always an active person but suddenly I couldn't walk anymore and rather lay down the whole day because my body hurt. I have been in therapy for five years. By now I can walk again but have a lot of balance issues. My back is often very painfull. I gained 20-30 kilo overweight. So thats the point I am starting now and I can explain my long term goals. - I want to lose the weight. And overall get a healthy eating practice. - I want to become mobile/flexible again. Sitting made my body very stiff. Probably nothing far worse than most people who dont do much activities. So i want to get familiar with yoga and later maybe callisthenics. - I am a huge Wolverine nerd. What I find inspiring about his powers is that his powers where actually his weakness when he was younger. He was a sickly and weak kid. That's why I want to focus a huge part of my challenges on walking and running. Doing yoga will probably also strengthen my core and make the weakest part of my body (my back) stronger. - I lack self love. My psychiatrist said I should try more meditation. So being able to meditate every day is also a goal. So I can put down following challenge. CHALLENGE 2: Do a breathing exercise at least once every week, pref more. since I am doing this exercise from the book "Miracle of mindfulness" I will write it down later today or tomorrow My third challenge is also based on this book. CHALLENGE 3: Write down future follow up challenges based on the MoM book for next months
  2. Yes indeed. That is the idea. And then just do it better every time.
  3. Today not well. There is a national strike and I figured that the only two supermarkets near my job where closed. So I decided to have an early breakfast.
  4. Hey, I am a bit late. I don't have a lot of time atm and wanted to say this. I will try to explain how I found it and why I thought becoming part of this forum seems like a good idea. It is quite a story but important because it had such a huge impact on me, both mentally and physically. I will update my challenges all the way through as well, most of them are weekly ones because someone told me I should start slow. One of my biggest goals is weightloss. Recently I read the warrior diet and this seemed interesting to build up to. So a few weeks back I started with IF. I had my first meal around 12:00. I have been shifting this time for an hour every week. This week I had my first meal at 16:00 on monday and tuesday. But I will need to work tommorow. We have a 45 minute break between 12:00 and 15:00 and a 15min-30min break between 16:00 and 17:00. So this schedule wont work well I think. I will try tommorow to get my second break around 16:00 and see if I am ok with a fruit/vegie shake. Depending on the outcome I might change my next challenge: CHALLENGE 1: first meal around 16:00 every day for a month OR try to have my first meal around 16:00 as often as possible this month
  5. yes, I think I just wait for the new challenge, browsing a few from this month to get ideas
