  2. It is the 28th! Lets Go!
  3. oh. sorry, i read Fluent Forever was the name of the book lol Thanks!
  4. Yeah, being a metropolitan sucks... And I thought you were building a literal Dojo. lol. Dieting is tough - good job for reaching Level 7!
  5. Hello~ May I know the name of the app? And yes, totally agree that we have to be immersed in the language to learn them. And technically I did pick up Japanese from watching too much anime (have since stopped, adulting sucks) I also studied a few other languages (more like I had no choice but to learn them) - English being one of those learned language so I am curious as to what "Business English" is.
  6. I do workout 3x a week at least...but skipped on anything leg. Cardio would just be stationary bike. Then I tried joining boxing session where the trainer had me doing the side run thing(lol?) and the next day there were discomfort around my ankles... So I figured I need to start training them... Oh and I just found out the taste of Guacamole(lol!) (homemade btw)...and they were good. Are they healthy though? It should be yeah..its just avocado with a bit of seasoning...I had this(picture below) for lunch this whole week!
  7. Added Challenges I am a bad drinker (of anything). I should drink more! Logging food intake has always annoyed because I live in Asia where the food simply doesnt exist in databases. And that annoyance would always result to me not documenting it. So this time KISS (Keep it Simple, Stupid) where I would take the strange Asian dishes and log it as a food item that is almost similar. And add 10% more calories to cover discrepancy. I have gout and a bad ankle due to a Taekwondo injury from high school. Actually I stopped being active much ever since the doctor told me to ease up on the legs. I got scared and treated them like fragile glass because I need them for commuting to work etc. Time to start small on my dainty legs! 5km Jog/Run once a week. I just finished reading Storyworthy by Matthew Dicks - and I thought I should start recording my life in simple forms. I am not trying to be a blogger or a storyteller for a profession but I am interested in the idea of leaving stories behind. Hey, maybe my life isnt as dull as I thought it was.
  8. HELLO, maybe some of you guys have seen me on this forum on and off. Well, that was due to my being annoyed by the forums and its functionality with Tapatalk. I was spammed with ads etc. So I slowly distanced from the forums. Now, I am back, and not using Tapatalk. And a respawn challenge! Diet Hydrate [3l per day] (I always forget that humans are 70% water) Log Food (KISS) Fitness 1 Cardio Session - 5km per week (Start small!) 30min Active Minutes per day Level Up Your Life Start 'Homework for Life' (Adapted from Storyworthy) Long-form Journal once a week
  9. I decided to ditch macro tracking. Living in Asia made it a hassle...translations, weird food names and it being non-existent in databases. For nutrition, I using the good ol’Notepad to track portion sizes. For water, I use My Water app. For exercises, I use Garmin Connect (because I have Garmin), set it to Cardio exercises when strength training just to track heart rate (and getting rid the need to input what exercises were done 1-by-1 because again, some are not always in the database). Though I track on notepad which part of the body I worked on for the day. For meditation...well and any other habit, I use a habit tracking app.
  10. Right, I am in no hurry. And I dont expect it go well all the time. I just fear of being judged. Practice, practice, practice. Maybe my heart will grow stronger through rejections. Whats a heart if it hasnt break a few times huh? haha Thank you for the reminder and advice.
  11. So it has been awhile since I have updated the challenge. I have been playing around in the app store for a health logging system that works for me. Also, as part of the "Confidence" challenge...I have actually set up a Tinder account... My crippling introversion has led me to avoid seeking out women strangers All the women I have met, were introduced by family members. I have never made the move to seek them out on my own. So the world of Tinder is very...nerve-wrecking for me. My confidence is not really all there - but my sister said "You should give it a try, at least if it did not work out, you would learn the confidence that you are not all that bad" - fingers crossed. I sound like a little boy huh... And also, I hit a bump because I got obsessed with The Umbrella Academy. Welp, I binged watched it over the weekend...so its all over now lol So between the show, tinder (and all its crazies), seeking the best apps, and the challenge. Updating this forum thread somehow got to the back burner over the weekend. Doesnt mean I did not work towards this challenge - just neglected to update. Update (so far): First day of using chosen apps Created a diet Workout as usual Actually landed a Tinder date for next Saturday (I am a nervous wreck at this point - and its only Monday)
  12. Dang, Lose It! requires premium subscription just to log water...it looks great though.
  13. So I have a burner android phone that I was not able to sell/trade due to it being damaged (still works, cracked LCD). I thought to turning it into my "fitness phone" where I use it purely at the gym for music and apps. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I should get? Just want to hear the good ones before committing to purchasing an app. I use Garmin so FitBit app is no go. (I might be tempted to change..got to avoid that lol) MyFitnessPal is not working for me, cannot seem to login both from app and website. Did send an email to them but the solution did not help and they have stopped replying since. Has been a few months now. Need a water intake tracker for challenge Mediation app? I use Instagram to share daily logs (@rroenfit) Thanks!

  15. Day 1 Designed and Applied first day of "The Warrior Diet" (I started reading up on before initiating this challenge) Thought I would be very hungry just having juice for lunch, but that wasn't the case. Felt that the diet requires too much protein powder intake so I modified: Breakfast - Eggs and Chicken Breast (instead of powder) Added Banana and Oats on top of the protein Shake Did not take post workout shake Managed to drink 2800ml (as of typing this entry @ 2020) Daily Fit Log Updated - DFL 02.18.MO
  16. Hello Eira! Thanks for the advice. Drinking 2l of water is already normal for me. I figured I needed more water intake due to the medications I am taking. (ie Diabetic meds makes you urinate more often and Gout medications causes uric acid to pass out through our urine - or so I was told by my doctor)
  17. Hello! I am a week late, but its not too late start...right? Short introduction: I am a Warrior-buff. Hence, that is the image I would like to project. More specifically - the image of the Samurai. (I have tons of books on them.) That lead me to the practice of Kendo. I used to practice Kendo when I was in University, however, the closest dojo is too far away now - from my current residence. So now I practice at home, on my own. As time goes, maybe I will start practicing Wing Chun (the dojo is only 15mins walk from my house). Here is my BIG Why td;lr recently diagnosed to be Pre-Diabetic (currently on meds, no insulin injections yet!) long time sufferer of Gout and Eczema minor depression (? - wasnt diagnosed or anything...but my headspace is total crap) severe deficit of confidence I WANT TO CHANGE ALL THOSE.
