  1. Day One: as shown above, I modified my water goal. I'm counting anything liquid that isn't alcohol or coffee (so LaCroix, milk). I did not make great food choices today but I logged them all. I also restarted my budget and updated it. Having just a couple of goals to work toward really helped me today; every time I started feeling like I should be starting 8 more daily healthy habits I allowed my brain to let those thoughts go and focused on these goals. I really felt less stress today
  2. I have been using You Need A Budget for years and I am a huge fan. It is pretty easy to use and has lots of cool features. I like the book that the founder wrote as well. A friend uses Dave Ramsey's Every Dollar and I understand that it is similar (and free). My issue is just staying on top of updating regularly. Much like my eating habits, I have good intentions but without hard data to keep me accountable I tend to veer hard off course as soon as I stray an inch off the path.
  3. Ophibirith here. I've been floating out in the space between stars my whole life, and it's time to find my Earth-legs. I found Nerd Fitness while looking online for basic bodyweight routines. My cholesterol is a little high, my blood pressure is a little low, and I'm in great need of learning how Earthlings eat and move in healthy ways so that I can support my Earthling toddler. I am trying to wean myself away from the sugar/simple carbs that sustained me in space. For entertainment I like Twin Peaks, MST3K, all the Michael Schur shows, the Beatles, Screaming Trees, gelli-plate printing, and other amateur creative expression. Main Goal: Lose 45 pounds in the next 12 months drink at least 64 ounces of water per day log all food and drink each day Main Goal: By the end of the year, be debt-free with the exception of home mortgage create budget update budget once per week
