  1. Overall, I want a rounded strength training plan - upper and lower body. Anything upper body I can do fine. I don’t have full mobility of my right ankle though, nor balance when stepping on it. I can do leg presses ok, but not the items specifically mentioned above.
  2. Hello, all! I finally reached that inevitable fork in the road, and it is time to take action. A little of my history: I'm 49M, an Army Veteran (many eons ago), and have an injury which prevents many of the 'basic/standard' exercises. To wit: - My right ankle/leg has 3 very large titanium plates, 16 screws, and my foot was 'rebuilt' using ~40 cadaver bones. I am unable to balance on my right leg. I can stand on it, just no balance or movement range. So.. Squats, Lunges and Jumping jacks are out. Period. I have a full gym at the office, which is also only two blocks away, so I can work out there mostly privately 24/7. And it's free! Equipment includes free weights, weight machines, bikes/treadmills/etc, and the usual assortment of additional gear. I need alternatives for a mobility impaired individual with my injuries. I know I can substitute leg presses for squats. What about lunges and any zero impact/balance items? TIA! D
