  1. day 12: respawn NFA and simply follow the instructions - done! continue doing bbww every other day - still nursing a chronic injury to my neck, so I modified this a lot today. intermittent fasting - hooboy, nope! but it was worth it 100% swim! - nope

  4. day 9: respawn NFA and simply follow the instructions - done! continue doing bbww every other day - done! intermittent fasting - done! swim! - it rained AGAIN boo. there is a massive heat wave coming though and i made plans with my mom to cool off in a lake before bed a couple times. in other news, why is it that one never wants to read the book they've decided to read? i was so excited to read optic nerve and a couple other books and instead i've plowed through two other novels. it makes me laugh. well the point is to read and i am reading so check check check.
  5. day 8: respawn NFA and simply follow the instructions - done! continue doing bbww every other day - done! intermittent fasting - done! swim! - not today, but probably tomorrow as i have a free night. ETA: looking back over the last week, i see a lot of wins. the goals i set up are working for me, and i am hitting the marks which is super motivating. i have modified the bbww to suit me and my PTs goals/recommendations, but still challenge me. i haven't felt like skipping it which is a minor miracle. in addition to my daily goals i did finally finish the witcher 3 DLC and i had my first acupuncture appointment last night. yay progress!

ME. i am with you! we're gonna squeeze all the goodness outta the back half of 2019!
  9. following! do you find practising two languages at once makes it easier to learn them both?
  10. SO REAL. i feel exactly the same. also, is anything worse than a bad haircut/a haircut not turning out the way you wanted? i get all teary when this happens. fwiw, i think your hair looks thick and beautiful! but hey, when it's not what you want, that can be a day ruiner for sure. reminds me of this quote from fleabag "Hair is everything. We wish it wasn't, so we could actually think about something else occasionally, but it is. It's the difference between a good day and a bad day. We're meant to think that it's a symbol of power. That it's a symbol of fertility. Some people are exploited for it and it pays your fucking bills! Hair is everything, Anthony."
  11. grateful wins is such a lovely goal. <3
  12. one thing i've worked pretty hard at is staying off the internet/my phone when i am on vacation or with other people. so here's a batch of logs from 4 july holiday: day 3 (july 4 holiday): respawn NFA and simply follow the instructions - done! continue doing bbww every other day - done! intermittent fasting - done! swim! - done! day 4: respawn NFA and simply follow the instructions - done! continue doing bbww every other day - done! intermittent fasting - done! swim! - not today day 5: respawn NFA and simply follow the instructions - done! continue doing bbww every other day - done! intermittent fasting - done! swim!- not today day 6: respawn NFA and simply follow the instructions - done! continue doing bbww every other day - done! intermittent fasting - done! swim! - not today it's only the first week but i am flying high so far because i am Actually Doing The Things!
  13. day 2 log: respawn NFA and simply follow the instructions - done! first week down. onward! continue doing bbww every other day - done! intermittent fasting - ate within my window but ate absolute shite so ::shrugguy:: swim! - still raining, boo.
  14. i avoid MMOs/FPS like the plague but everything else is worth a try. i like adventure/puzzle games, basically any platformer. and Who Knows what prestige tv is - it's a term i run into when i read recaps but i think it vaguely refers to like, high profile, big budget stuff like GoT. bingeable dramas and comedies please.
  15. day 1 log: respawn NFA and simply follow the instructions - done! for the most part week 1 is food tracking and walking and those are both done. the other single item tasks are already complete. continue doing bbww every other day - rest day intermittent fasting - i had a small snack a couple hours after my feasting window closed. today will be better. swim! - it rained so nah, but with the 4 july holiday coming up i plan to spend at least a couple days at the lakes
  16. hey if i could magically get stronger by looking at whales while out on the water, that is definitely what i'd prefer afaik it stands for beginner body weight workout. cheers!
  17. So i'm roughly two weeks in to e/o/d and so far so good regarding pain? It's still there, it's still distracting, but it hasn't gotten worse. I am hoping it even begins to get better! Something I find with FM/MPS is that there are "layers" to pain so I can feel what is soreness due to actual activity and what is sore/numb due to whatever makes me sick. At any rate, this is all under my team of doctor's watchful eye and I think so far they're just glad I'm doing something beyond laying around. My schedule is every other day at 7am. Excellent point! Keeping going with BBWW is important to me so that will take priority for me. I will make sure to ask for advice if there are other sticky situations. Thanks, @Sylvaa!
  18. thanks! yeah, i am trying to keep everything almost painfully uncomplicated this time. gotta get those wins!
  19. hello hi hey! i'm harborcoat, a 30-something lady living in minnesota with my partner and two kitties. so far 2019 has been fairly chaotic, especially with a recent job change. july will be a time of focusing on core habits and routines, an NFA respawn, and coping with summer weather. summer makes me miserable, i dont deal with heat well, so it's vital that i plan for it. happily, i have lots of things to look forward to this month including a long visit from my sister and her family, the 4th of july long weekend, a night out at the theater, and con air day! my goals/quests/plan: respawn NFA and simply follow the instructions i've respawned 4-5 times and never seem to get past week 4 due to making exceptions for this and that, doing way more than is asked, and creating needless/complicated workarounds instead of just doing what's there to do. my weeks begin on wednesdays and end on tuesdays, so i'll review each week. continue doing bbww every other day this is pretty simple. i have given up in the past because it's hard, i dont make time, i dont see progress. but i don't hate it, and walking isn't enough to manage my chronic pain. the goal for now is just to do it and not worry about increasing anything. show up, do the thing. intermittent fasting i intuitively do this unless i'm drinking so my goal for this month is to track my feast/fast windows and see where i'm tripping up or if it's working for me. this overlaps with the food tracking i will do for week 1 NFA. i hate food tracking but i can do it for a couple weeks without dying. ... i hope? swim! i will go swimming at least once a week. summer is the worst but swimming makes it magical. plus! it helps with my chronic pain and anxiety while helping me sleep. double plus! it is a pretty hard workout. triple plus! it's the best way to beat the heat. + + + + there are no bad sides to swimming smaller quests: take my nieces swimming, give both the kitties nail trims, finish blood & wine DLC, read optic nerve, set up and go to an accupuncture appointment let's do this!
  20. you've got this! have fun in hayward. my family had a cabin there when i was growing up and it's so lovely.
  21. hi! i'm new to this guild. i live in the upper midwest of the states and like to be outside as much as possible to hike and swim and canoe and bike and and and there is so much to do here, even during the crazy winters. beyond making the most of my surroundings, i like to travel to places that are cold or rainy, play video games with my partner, read with kitties on my lap, binge both trashy and prestige tv, and sleep. ::waves::
  22. hey @Elastigirl those are all excellent and helpful suggestions. thank you! you definitely are getting my brain moving about options. i've been meaning to look into intuitive eating as from what i hear it would likely be a good fit for me.
