  1. There are a number of CSV files in the parent directory. There is also a jsons folder. It looks like in some of the CSV's they reference the json's as they are named with their own uuid e.g. "0c908180-a25c-4739-8058-18d413ec2154.extra_data.json"
  2. We're all nerds right? We like data too? I use the Samsung S Health app to do the majority of my tracking and I have been slowly working my way through the app making notes of all the details like step counts, distances calories burnt etc. I have since found out that you can simply download all the RAW health data. Has anyone worked with these files at all? I'd like to potentially get to a point where the files are downloaded say once a week them imported somewhere to make it all look a nice and pretty. If you have any experience of this i'd be interested to hear from you all.
  3. Thanks Jean, I've been trying to collect all the information I can from what i have done so far from my fitness app. Once I am happy that i have the data i will be exporting it to a meaningful format and try and not make it look too "Spreadsheety".
  4. Thanks Jean i'll check it out. I've been doing some walking and a little hiking. Nothing too much to record on here but at least I'm moving a lot more than what I was.
  5. Well this is a long overdue update.... Due to a number of factors going on with personal life etc getting in the way I have not had the motivation to get out and do anything, and this is another night where I am awake at 1am unable to sleep. I am starting to get a bit more focus and clarity and i'll be properly putting everything into a schedule that I truly hope to stick at or at least complete a couple of days at least. Apologies that there isn't any substance to this post and thank those of you who may have taken the time to read this but I aim to be a bit more productive in achieving my goals. @Pecs Making things public was a good idea when initially starting but not being the most sociable person its easy to turn away from forums like this without a second thought. As part of this I need to spend a bit more time on the forum looking around and engaging more with everyone on here, and you never know there may be some of you near me to catch up with IRL. Oh and I used to do a bit of running and found it very bitter sweet. You feel bad when your doing it but feels good that you have done it. I'd recommend it.
  6. Hello fellow Nerds, Now let’s see how long I stick this this. So a little about me: I am an IT manger with a fairly stressful workload and tend to end up pushing myself too much and working all the hours I can. So I thought I would start this blog as a means to try and motivate myself and by publicly announcing what I plan to do other than just trying to convince myself and find other ways to get out of things. What I hope to achieve: Overall better fitness, not ashamed to take my top off in the summer and be more self-confident. Current Stats: Height – 6ft2in Weight - 16.9st - 105.9kg - 233.5lbs Have I done anything yet? Yes. Research , research, research. I have been aware of NerdFitness for some time and have not followed any of the plans as yet but that will change. I also went for my first run yesterday in a long while. It was pretty bad from what I used to do but even that was not great. And by “run” I mean it was more speed walking with some jogging thrown in for good measure. 20/07/2019 – Run - 2.37 miles (30 mins 54 Seconds) I also plan to: Workout Mon/Wed/Fri (Beginners workout plan) Attempt to get 10,000 steps per day. Drink 3L of water a day. Either a walk or preferably a run on the days in between running. Well that’s me for now. FlightlessNinja
