  1. Thanks for all the replies! So I should be working on strengthening my core and glutes is what most people seem to be saying, though according to Defining I don't really need to work on my core right now? I assume doing core exercises as well can't hurt though. I've tried some glute exercises and tbh it's hard to tell if I'm doing it right cause I'm not used to using them. Thank you for all the info @Defining. To be totally honest I can't do all the diet stuff anytime soon (I'm studying somewhere at a Uni where they provide the food for us because it's so far from any stores, so I'm not in control of my diet.) Hopefully the exercisess you recommend will still be helpful even if I don't change my diet, tho I obviously won't try to go as hard as if I was eating more.
  2. Thanks for the replies. It's not so much that I want to lose weight, at least if I don't It's more that I'm worried about putting on more weight and then not being able to turn it into muscle due to not exercising enough or not doing the right exercises. I've also always had a hard time putting on weight anyway, as you can probably see, so I'd probably have to eat a LOT more than I currently do. Unfortunately I live somewhere really remote right now where I don't have access to a gym, so doing things that involve weights isn't possible, but hopefully things like squats and the plank will help. If there are any other exercises anyone could reccomend that I could do at home that'd be really good. I try to correct my posture when I remember to. Unfortunately when I do I think I stand the way I do in the second and third picture I posted. It's what feels natural to me, but I guess I'll just have to really make an effort to not do that.
  3. Thanks for the reply and letting me know about APT. I almost definitely have that judging by the link you sent. If I could ask a couple more questions, do I have to put on weight if I want to see any results at all with my abs? I'm not expecting to have a huge sixpack or anything, I'd just like my stomach to be a bit flatter. Also can you give me an example of what kind of exercise you mean by full body movements that would work out my abdomen?
  4. Hey, sorry if this is a dumb question but i know nothing about fitness. So I'm very skinny cause I'm very tall, but I'm not in shape at all. I have little bit of a belly. Not a big one but it stands out a bit. I don't know if this is just because of bad posture, or because I have a some belly fat. I want to start getting fitter. I don't want to pack on lots of muscle or anything but I would like to have a more toned body, especially my stomach. I just don't know whether I need to lose belly fat first for it to show. In the past I've gone through periods of a few months where I'd do ten to twenty minutes or so of ab exercises every day, but I never saw any results, though maybe those exercises just weren't enough. I've included three pictures to show what it looks like. The first is of me slouching so my belly stands out. The second is me standing straight. The third is me standing straight and sucking in my stomach/puffing my chest out a bit. So other than wanting to know whether or not I have belly fat I'd appreciate some advice on what of ab exercises to do and how often, and how long it usually takes to see results. Thanks.
