1. Welcome I'm a newcomer myself, but everyone here is super friendly and helpful! good luck on your journey.
2. My daughter is 9, and she knows that junk food is an occasional treat. I think the best way is get them involved in preparing their own meals. I bought a pushbike recently, so the two of us will ride to the local shops, she will pick out some sausages or a chop or something from the butcher, and then next door we will go to the fruit and veg store and she will pick the veggies she is going to eat with it. She loves a jacket potato, and broccoli and some fresh carrots. This way we get healthy food and some exercise at the same time, plus she is learning to cook
3. I like them but I have to pick the bones out, they gross me out
4. Nom Nom! I had the best day yesterday, I was feeling so energetic (thanks to my new way of eating) that I cleaned out my pantry. Into the bin went the flour, rice, breadcrumbs, icing sugar, packet mixes, sauces and boxes of breakfast cereal. I spent the afternoon making two huge meatloafs full of mince and herbs and garlic and shredded veggies. I had a delicious dinner of grilled salmon and zucchini fritter like things, shredded zucchini bound with an egg, a bit of salt and pepper and than popped into the frypan with a dob of butter. If I have to choose between cupcakes and bacon, pass the bacon please!
5. I'm noticing this too. I'm only into the end of my first week, but I've gone from sugar and carb cravings to feeling happy and full when I eat (not that oh god I ate too much and feel bloated and need to sleep it off) and then not really thinking about food at all, which previously, was unheard of for me.
6. hah you're the 2nd person to ask about my shirt It's from www.thinkgeek.com I love their stuff. My boyfriend got me a domokun beanie from there too a few weeks ago
7. its from thinkgeek :)www.thinkgeek.com I love their stuff!

8. I love love love your shirt! Where did you get it?

9. I had to giggle at your term "lactarded" you should trademark that
10. bacon and banana together...omg that is so much win. I may have to put the on hold the roast chicken I was planning to cook tonight and just have that for dinner!
11. one of my favourite meals my mum would make was lamb's fry with bacon.. the gravy that it is in is not paleo since it's made with flour, but it was basically fried onion, garlic and bacon, and then cook the strips of lambs liver in that. You could probably thicken it up with a tin of tomatoes or something along those lines? I may have to experiment with this myself
12. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, and like I said, I am still trying to get over years of being told that butter is evil, buy weight watchers low fat margarine spread! I'll definitely give this a try for science though
13. welcome I'm new too. I am keeping Greek Yoghurt as my only dairy source, I figured I'd use it to make easy dressings/topping with herbs and spices for a bit of grilled steak or chicken.
14. can someone please explain to a complete newbie (who is still trying to get out of the mentality that butter=evil) what buttered coffee is?
