  1. Quick update I've been experiencing the usual valley that comes when the initial motivation and excitement of starting something new starts to wear of.. have not strayed of my path, but I notice it takes more willpower to keep on track. My brain is looking for that new and shiny external boost of inspiration and I notice that some FOV is moving in over the great enthusiasm and excitement I felt for the future and such just a few weeks ago. Good thing I have my priorities clearly written down so that I mainly just need to follow the steps, like a recipe. So here is my workout record since recovering from my brief cold: Wednesday - 8/1 Pull Up: 5x3 Push Up: 5x4 Squats: 10x2 Handstand: 40s (against a wall) Thursday - 9/1 Pull Up: 5x4 Push Up: 5x7 Squats: 5x2 Handstand: 40s Run: 2.5 km at 13m Ended with a 1h sauna that almost made me pass out Friday - 10/1 Pull Up: 5x2 Push Up: 5x4 Plank: 1mx2 Handstand: 40s Saturday 11/1 Pull Up: 5x3 Push Up: 5x3 Squat: 10x2 Sunday 12/1 Pull Up: 5x5 Push Up: 5x5 Squats: 5x3 Plank: 50s + 40s Run: 3.3 at 15min I've also been doing some drawing. mainly organizing my project so that there is a overview to it.. it feels a lot more graspable when it is not a complete mess.. I realize that it looks as if I'm taking on a lot at once.. And it would be if I was starting from absolute scratch, but I have been slowly building up for over a year now, following a complete apocalyptic collapse about 2,5 years ago.. And I'm adjusting as I go along as to not overextend Example of organization here ...
  2. Thank you so much for the friendly support I'm back on track now.
  3. I'll chip in too.. I'm located in Umeå
  4. So a small update.. I've been sick so not much have been done
  5. Thank you Who know indeed.. it is so so very obvious when one thinks about it... I even have a fond memory of my mom shaming me in a rage-fit over not partaking in the world good enough "Maybe we need to make a character-sheet for your real life since you seem to care more about RPG's than you do the real world.." So I guess she was onto something there.
  6. -: Weekly Update :- This is my first weekly update. once a week I will be updating my progress and share my thoughts, struggles and joys as a way to keep myself accountable. Since I started this challenge a few days before I posted it on this forum, I feel today is a decent day to post it. Starting of with the Physical part. There is some flux in the amount of reps and such. this is me adding some light randomness to each day. Monday 30/12 Pull-up: 5x3 Push-up: 5x3 Plank: 35s x2 Squats: 10x2 Crunches: 10x3 Run: 3km at 14.50min Heavy-bag: 10min Tuesday 31/12 Pull-up: 5x3 Push-up: 5x3 Plank: 1.09min + 40sek Squats: 10x2 Crunches: - Run: 3.3km at 17.05min Heavy-bag: 12min Wednesday 1/1 Pull-up: 5x5 Push-up: 5x3 Plank: 1.10min + 42sek Squats: 10x2 Crunches: 5x4 Walk: 5.5 km at 57min Heavy-bag: 15min Thursday 2/1 Pull-up: 5x5 Push-up: 5x4 Plank: 40sek + 56sek Squats: 5x4 Crunches: 5x4 Run: 2.47 km at 13.10min Heavy-bag: 10min Friday 3/1 Pull-up: 5x3 Push-up: 5x3 Plank: 2x40s Squats: 10x2 Crunches: 5x4 Walk: - Heavy-bag: 5minx2 I also mentioned a childrensbook .. and here follows a few examples. The book is called "Vide bygger Vagnshus" (swedish for "Vide builds a TinyHouse") and is about a young boy who builds a TinyHouse with his parents and their friends. It is a semi-real life story, but in reality my son was no more than 1,5yo
  7. Thank you! I think I just might be able to, I have tried and failed so many times and I do believe I have come to understand why that is.
  8. Thank you I really like RPG systems too, there is not much to tell at the moment, but ill keep adding updates as things solidify.
  9. Thank you! Yes I will be carefull, this is a sort of test-run to see what is doable, I will adjust as I go along
  10. Hello. So this is my first entry. I got the book "level up your life" for myself this Christmas and i noticed that my brain really understood the idea of using game-mechanics as a framework for improvements and growth. I have been struggling with getting habits and routines around the most fundamental aspects of life together for a great long time, and now i do believe I have found just the framework for me. I have consciously and (more or less) activly been on the heroes journey for maybe 4 years now, with great ups and downs along the way.. my biggest struggle has probably been with a enveloping framework to keep to.. always felt I lacked overview and metrics to track any progress I made, so I was left to just improvise/freestyle, which has taken me very far but is now feeling highly ineffective. So... this challenge is mostly about getting started building a fundament.. that is gaining some habits and securing a job to ensure financial stability. I've added 3 parts to this challenge: Job I meed to secure a job so as to be able to maintain a stable financial situation. I am working as an extra in daycare at the moment but this is too unstable and irregular. In the long run I have a goal to start my own business but this I have placed in later levels (lvl10 and above) as I obviously need a stable foundation to work from in all things I want to achieve later on. (will go into more detail as to future goals and such later on) Daily Exercise I have set up a basic daily exercise schedule that is based on the anti fragile concept. The purpouse here is to lay the foundation for a habit rather than to gain massive physical benefits, although I will up the baseline physical fitness using this routine. It is laid out as follows: Push: Push-ups 5x3 alt 10x2 Pull: Pull-ups 5x3 alt 10x2 Leg: Squats 5x3 alt 10x2 (including weights every other day) Core: Plank 2x40s Cardio: Heavy-bag 15minutes, basic Muay Thai routine. I will also run for 15minutes 3 days a week. Finish Draft for a Children's Book. I have been working on and of on a children's book for a few years at this point, and I now intend to get it done with. I have enough work done to be able to finish a draft within 5 weeks if I dedicate 1h a day, 4 days a week to this project. (updates with pictures will follow) So that is it.. I have also laid out the foundation to a sort of RPG system to suit my needs and preferences. but more on that later. I'm glad to be here and look forward to years of interaction and making allies on this Quest for a Grander Life
