  1. Thanks - this is really helpful and lots to think about
  2. Thanks - I am definitely always hungry and then end up eating a lot of energy dense food like peanut butter to feel satisfied. I have never tried tracking calories - maybe that is the way to go.
  3. I use a smart scale and I have also checked it with one of those fitness machines always comes out 21-22%.
  4. I feel very fit but I can't get my body fat below 21%. I don't care about weight but I want to get my body fat down. I am male, 1.85m, 82kg and I excercise a lot. I run around 50 miles per week (over 4-6 days), swim 2k once per week and 1.5-2 hours in the gym once per week (rowing, some light weights, push ups, crunches etc + speed running on treadmill). I also cycle to\from work every weekday (5 miles per day in total). I generally eat healthily in the week, admittedly sometimes a little less so at the weekend. I have started trying to replace fat and carbs with more protein but it seems to have made minimal impact. I do have fairly large portions for meals but the amount of excercise I do leaves me hungry and in need of the energy. This situation has been stable for months and my body fat just won't seem to drop. I don't feel I can increase my excercise so I guess I have to look more closely at diet but it is difficult to reduce my calorie intake and maintain the running in particular. Can anyone offer any advice? p.s. I don't want to bulk out by doing loads of strength work as I run ultramarathons and it isn't helpful for this to increase upper body weight too much
