I know this challenge doesn't officially start until next week, but just wanted to say I started working out again today! I am doing a weight training program and I already am loving it! I LOATHE cardio... so weights it is! I will add in walking as well, but I will not be doing cardio workouts because they make me want to die! lol

Thanks guys! I am VERY frustrated with my endo. I only saw her for like 10 minutes and I felt she was very dismissive... I don't think I will be going back. The truth of the situation is I need to do SOMETHING to lose the weight, but 1200 calories along with working out 60 minutes a day seems like setting myself up for starvation and failure. As for my BF% goal, it's ok, it's not going to discourage me... I like seeing the numbers change on the scale, I like seeing what changes depending on what I put into my body. I have always had a weight loss goal via pounds lost, but decided that BF% might be a better way to go.

Challenge 18: I'll Save Myself
MAIN QUEST: Lose Weight Feel Great!
To hit my goal range of 125-135 and do it in a healthy way!
Goals (diet and fitness related) that will help me achieve Main Quest:I feel like I just haven't made much progress at all the last 17 challenges. I keep losing and gaining the same 10 pounds lately... Not really sure how to fix this, but I just keep trying! Back story: All through high school I struggled to GAIN weight. I weighed 110 pounds all through high school. I am 5'2", so that's a "healthy" weight, but I really was way too thin and didn't have any muscle. Then I started having babies and started gaining weight. My heaviest was 219. I am at 207 now. I have managed over the years to diet myself down to 165 at the lowest, but it was a very unhealthy diet (around 500 calories a day) and I started losing my hair, so I decided I would rather be fat and have hair than be thin with no hair lol
My tracking will be different this challenge. I am trying something new... I am using Zelda hearts this challenge. I thought it might be fun to change it up a little bit. I will be figuring it out as I go along... I will do weekly hearts and then average them out at the end, I guess. I will start at full hearts and change them at the end of each week! I will also have health pots that I can earn by doing more than 4 workouts in a week and can use to get myself out of a sticky situation if I need to.
Seriously guys... I almost didn't do a challenge this time. I cannot get my shit together to save my life!!! But here's the thing... I NEED TO SAVE MY LIFE! I need to lose some of this weight. I need to feel better. I did have an appointment with an endocrinologist who basically did nothing, didn't even do labs, she changed my meds and said that one of my meds is the reason I have heart problems now... great, since I told my original doctor that I knew he was putting me on too much of that med and he basically shushed me. My endo then said because of my height, the only way I will lose weight is if I eat 1200 or less calories per day and workout for at least 60 minutes every day. I am not sure how one survives on 1200 calories per day especially when working out. When I told her I was too exhausted to workout 60 minutes a day she said do it anyway and I will stop being tired. WTF? Anyway, I am here. I will try to keep up.

Everything stayed the same today... I did not work out, I am so exhausted. It's ok, I needed a rest day, even though I was on my feet all day at work!! I didn't eat great... nothing too bad, just too much bread.

I put together 2 chairs, 2 carts and a shelf!! I have an unhealthy addiction to IKEA!! Lol Hubs is going to build me some sort of drafting table for our office!! I can't wait!

So I did work on some Copic coloring this evening. I started out with this digital stamp, penciled in the background and started coloring it. It needs so much work!! I need so much practice, but at least I'm practicing!!

I have been working my ass off at work. So glad yesterday was Monday. I did basically nothing, but I DID take a walk with my guys and Aspen!! So, I am counting that! One of X's coworkers died yesterday, so we were kind of just playing things by ear last night and X wanted to go for a walk, so we did. I don't think it has actually hit him yet, but I bawled my eyes out when he told me, because it is just heartbreaking. The coworker was only 50 and it was really sudden. They are thinking heart failure. X thinks of his coworkers as family and this guy was one of the nicest people I have ever known. So, it's been a rough couple of days around here.
I have friends coming over tomorrow night... I think this is our first real company since moving in here other than family. So, I am cleaning my house today!! BLAH!!

As for the last challenge, I did sort of get my life together! I found a summer job at a local artisan cheese shop, and while it is hard work, it's fun too! Plus, I found a new para job in my own start for next year!! It's $4.00 more an hour, plus they have level pay so I won't have to work at all next summer unless I just want to!

Since I started counting calories again and trying to count macros I have lost 2.9 lbs!! Yay!!! And the week isn't over yet!!
Today was the last day of school. It was a good day! Most of my kids got awards at the assembly and one of my kiddos grandmother asked my supervising teacher if her grandson could get a picture with the person who taught him how to read this year... that was ME!!! And one of my students that I have for math got a most improved in math award!!! I'm so proud of them!! I'm proud of myself too! It just solidifies the fact that I am on the right track with wanting to become a teacher!
I have 2 job interviews tomorrow... one is for a para job for next year in Missouri. I live in MO, but currently work in a Kansas school. I think it would be a good move for me to move to a MO school, since I will be teaching in MO once i get my certification. I might be able to just move into a teaching position at whatever school I para at. Then I have a working interview at the cheese shop tomorrow afternoon. I am hoping I get that job for a summer job!!

Maybe I am NOT still alive lol... sorry, I kind of dropped out. Stress, depression, more stress... trying to figure my life out. Still don't have a job for summer. Need to start getting creative I guess. Blood pressure is still being kind of high. I ran a the Girls on the Run 5K on Saturday. My group wanted to get in in under an hour and we did!! I ran it in 51:47. I was proud of myself! I was with a girl who had forgotten her inhaler so we would run some and then walk and then run some more. Worked out fine for me!
Am starting to count macros today. Also, planning to start the Hammer & Chisel. I have decided I just don't like a lot of cardio, so I am going to focus more on lifting and see what happens. I've been eating horribly, so I need to take care of that!! I didn't buy any junk at the grocery store last night... now if I can stay away from the QuikTrip grill I will be fine! lol And the Java Monster drinks I have been downing just to stay awake!! Nothing but water going forward!
My goal is to get back on track by the next challenge. This one is kind of a bust, but I will try to at least come and update it! I'm just not counting it as a finished challenge. I have 3 days left of work... I have a working interview at a retail cheese shop on Thursday. Hope it works out so I at least have some way to make money this summer!!

Oh, and I found out today that Kansas will only accept the alternative teaching certificate from Missouri AFTER I teach in Missouri for FIVE years!!!! What??!! That's ok, I'll just teach in MO and stay in MO. No big deal, other than the guaranteed job.

Over 2 hours at the doctor. Blood pressure was fine. Ekg was fine. She drew blood and got urine. I won't know anything until at least tomorrow evening. There are leukocytes in my urine, which could mean uti, bladder or kidney infection, but I'm not having any pain in that area... But sometimes my kidneys hurt. With that and the fatigue, there's the possibility of lupus. But could just still be my thyroid. Could be both. She said it's definitely not normal being this tired and not being able to lose weight. She might send me to an endocrinologist. Who knows?

So, this morning I was feeling really off, my chest was heavy and I felt nauseous. So, I decided to test my blood pressure. It's usually on the low side, so I thought maybe it was lower than normal. But it was 183/118. I wasn't doing anything strenuous, I was just sitting down getting ready for work. I tested it twice more this morning and it was better: 153/100 and 120/78. I texted my husband and he said I needed to go to my doctor TODAY. So I messaged her and am waiting for a response. Anyway, I'll let y'all know.

So busy, as usual!!! So, let me see... today is Tuesday, right? Yesterday I walked a mile and did my weight workout. I have decided to try giving up meat for a while to see if I feel better, so I am struggling getting all my protein in. Am still counting calories, practiced lettering today and cleaned house yesterday! Tomorrow starts 5 days of working on my feet for HOURS each day, then next Monday I am going out of town for 2 days to see family. Oh, and I am almost to level 12 on Pokemon Go!
