  1. Have you tried going for a long walk outside? I know it doesn't seem like a big activity but a short walk around the neighborhood has helped me many a times. No car or destination required. I like to stop and look at plants, insects, and animals in the area. Even just pausing to hear the wind making the leaves of a tree rustle. I realize my experiences won't carry over 100% but it may be worth a shot.
  2. Hello All! I read through the Guilds and I feel I am mostly Ranger so I figured I would say hey! Also I like cute animals.
  3. I can't imagine what she must be going through. It is great that you care about her and are willing to be there for her in these times. It won't be easy but at least she has you and (hopefully) others.
  4. What is keeping you from getting away for your own time away from him? I feel that will help significantly. Nature and outdoors has always helped me mentally. My brain can be dumb sometimes too.
  5. Do you have Find My iPhone activated?
  6. Welcome! My family also has heart disease history which is an additional motivator for my fitness. It is great you are taking the reins of life into your own hands as much as you can. Good luck on your journey!
  7. Thanks Caius! Hiking is definitely my favorite form of cardio. The nature and wildlife is unmatched by any other exercise IMO! Good luck on your journey as well!
  8. Hey everyone! I am joining the rebellion at last! I want to refocus on fitness and health and ensure it remains a priority in my life. I work as a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer at a satellite solar array manufacturer. I graduated HS in 2012 and was fairly fit being that I had wrestled for the school team my senior year. I went to college in SLO where there was a free gym. I used that off/on for my 5 years there and gained considerable mass. Following college, I joined a crossfit gym being that I no longer had a gym. I was in the best shape of my life around Oct/Nov 2018 after having signed up and only ten weeks in. I was 165 and 14% with good size and definition. In November 2018, I moved cities to start a new position at a growing and innovative company. Since then, I have somewhat neglected my fitness goals and have not rejoined a gym or club. I am now living in Camarillo, CA near Ventura/Santa Barbara. Currently, I am 178 at 24.3%. I would like to set a goal of around 175 @ 20% for now and eventually 175 @ 15%. (My goal is to lose fat and gain muscle, lean bulk?) I currently meal-prep my lunches to ensure good nutrition despite my busy work schedule. I have not been hiking in the past year and would like to start up again as it helps physically, mentally, and spiritually. I tend to go about twice a week for an hour at a time. I have free weights (dumbells and barbell) at home to train with and would like to avoid a gym membership for the time being. I will eventually be looking into a membership in the coming months as things begin to open up. Here is a photo as I stand today. Anyways, I hope to learn a ton and connect with others with similar goals. I will be holding myself more accountable and this forum will serve to help with that goal. Let's do this! -Michael Any feedback is appreciated. I really want to get rid of my love handles and get definition/fullness back in my quads, abs, and chest. Thanks for reading! PS. Long term goal is to remain physically fit for Off-Road/Trophy Truck Racing in the near term future. Planned to be the team co-driver/navigator for June 2021 and on.
