  1. Week One: S M T W TH F Sa πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ - 3/3 πŸŸ₯πŸ“΅πŸ“΅πŸ“΅πŸ“΅πŸ“΅πŸ“΅ - 6/7 πŸ“˜ πŸŸ₯ - 1/2 πŸ‚ 🌟 - 2/1 (+1) Weekly total: 13 ----- The rest of the week was pretty good. D had to work Wednesday evening, so it was just myself and BabyG in the nursery. The livestream wasn't working, so we just hung out with the "big kids" and watched them play their game. Saturday we had a ladies brunch at church. It was such a nice time. I accidentally forgot to turn my lights off though πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ, so I had to jump my car when I went to leave.
  2. Day 12 - Refuge > 100 points < Total points: 1,600 Today was a nice yoga flow. Definitely needed the stretch! Oh, man....I sure was out! I wonder how long I slept? Wait.... Where am I??? "Oh, hi there! You're finally awake." She looks kind enough.... "I found you out in the woods and figured I could help out a bit. That was a pretty nasty storm, and you were completely knocked out!" "Oh....well....thank you." "No problem! Feel free to stay as long as you need!"
  3. That's a great idea! There's a place nearby that has butterflies in the spring. I might have to look into other options.
  4. Day 11 - Close Call > 100 points < Total points: 1,500 Today was legs. I actually felt pretty good about this workout! Thanks to the "choose your own" feel to this workout thing, I have to do 200 skips by the end of today ontop of my workout. It'll be fun, I guess. lol Guess I should have taken shelter a while ago; this storm is getting pretty rough. I think I see a... *CRACK* Owww!!!!! I don't think I should move, I might have broken something. Stay awake....stay awake....st..st...aaay aw....
  5. Thank you! I don't even have that button! No wonder I was so confused. πŸ˜‚
  6. Day 10 - Into the Storm > 200 points < Total points: 1,400 Lots of push-ups and planks today. I don't think I had enough water in the day leading up to my workout cause I'm not feeling the greatest now... πŸ˜• *CRACK* *BOOM* Welp. Looks like we're heading into a storm.... wish I hadn't lost my pack. Oh well. Let's just enjoy the rain and hope for the best!
  7. Week One: S M T W TH F Sa πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ ⬜⬜ πŸŸ₯πŸ“΅πŸ“΅β¬œβ¬œβ¬œβ¬œ πŸ“˜ ⬜ ⬜ ----- The past couple days have been pretty good. Monday I was in a bit of a mood..... πŸ˜• I got up early with D and didn't go back to bed when he left for work, which was to my detriment. Felt gross all day. I got some reading in though and my workout. A couple of my siblings joined for the workout time, which was nice. My sister's dog kept running back and forth barking at us as if we were crazy. πŸ˜‚ Tuesday I got the kitchen mostly clean. Unfortunately, it didn't stay clean for long cause people needed to use it, but it was nice while it lasted. lol. Haven't taken BabyG outside yet this week, aside from going between buildings and the car. It's been rainy and cold and I've not much felt like being outside.
  8. Am I completely missing the source button, or do I not understand what you're saying? πŸ˜…
  9. Day 9 - Collapsing Bridge > 200 points < Total points: 1,200 Today was a leg workout. I didn't feel it while I was working out, but definitely feel it now! πŸ˜… That rest was just what I needed! Plus, some extra food doesn't hurt. I don't think this path has been used for a while....that bridge looks mighty old. I think getting across as fast as possible will be ideal. If only you were bigger *looks at baby dragon* we could both fly across. In any case, I'm not sure I can jump the whole thing. Running will have to be the way to go. *Begins running across the bridge* ..... *CRACK!* Oh no!!! The bridge is collapsing! Aaaaahhhhh!!!! *scrambling for a branch or anything I can grab & climbs up the cliff* *PHEW!* That was close! Lost my bag though.... There goes that extra food.
  10. Week One: S M T W TH F Sa ⬜⬜⬜ πŸŸ₯⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜ ⬜ ----- Sunday was good. An old friend came up to visit his girlfriend and they both joined us for church and then lunch afterwards. It was nice to meet his girlfriend, though it was a tad awkward... It was a nice day out, so D and I spent some time outside for a little bit. I totally forgot that it was the start of the challenge so I was definitely on my phone waaaay too much, but hoping to do better with that the rest of this week. lol.
  11. Day 8 - A Night to Remember > 150 points < Total points: 1,000 Lots of work for my core and my legs today. Man, I'm beat! Glad we're coming upon our next camp. Ready for some rest and merriment.
  12. Doing a quick web search: A lot of things said apple cider vinegar and lots of fluids. Another site said diuretic foods. From that site: (linked to the site if you want to read the rest of the article) How to Pass Kidney Stones at Home Kidney stones can only exit the body via urine. Stones that are smaller than 5mm can usually pass easily. Larger stones will generally require medical intervention. Depending on the kidney stone’s size and location, the length of time it will take to pass varies. Thankfully, there are many natural home remedies for passing kidney stones at home effectively. Natural Remedies to Pass Kidney Stones Drink plenty of water. Kidney stones need to be flushed out of the body so be sure to drink lots of water to keep them moving along. Minimize coffee, alcohol, tea, and soda while passing a kidney stone as these can cause dehydration and make the pain worse. Remember: hydration is key for both passing and preventing! Drink a mixture of lemon juice and olive oil. The lemon juice contains citrate that will help break up the stones, and the olive oil will help to flush the stones out of your body. Mix ΒΌ cup of both and then follow with water. Only drink fresh lemon juice and pure olive oil as additives like sugar or flavorings can worsen problems. Drink this mixture every hour to cease kidney pain. Try raw apple cider vinegar. You can mix this with a few ounces of water to make it more palatable. This will also help break up the stones and can help prevent future kidney stone formation. Eat diuretic foods. Celery, brussels sprouts, cucumber, watermelon, and asparagus are great foods to help with passing kidney stones.
  13. Yesterday was a bit rough. BabyG only took one actual nap (only lasted about 25 min) and several super small, like 2-5 min, naps. Thankfully she slept through the night and seems to be back to her normal nap schedule. We had a nice evening with our small group. Stayed later than anticipated, but the fellowship was nice. This morning has been a bit rough emotionally/mentally, but I'm choosing to make today a good day somehow.
  14. Started reading Just As I Am: The Autobiography of Billy Graham yesterday. Made it through the preface and introduction and started into the first chapter before I D said he was heading to bed and I realized what time it was. πŸ˜… Man, I've missed having a good book to read. (Probably helps that I enjoy biographies. lol)
  15. Day 7 - The Oracle > 100 points < Total points: 850 Today's workout consisted of a lot of high knees (400) and plank jump-ins (40). My legs feel great! I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow though. lol "Boo!" *scream* "Dude! My heart about jumped out of my chest!!! Why did you do that???" "....I thought I'd say hi, but then I was behind this tree, and I don't know....It was funny before it happened." "Not funny...." *the baby dragon pops out and scares the stranger* "Now that's funny!" I say laughing. "Why don't you join us? You owe me a favor anyways." "For sure!" As we walk further down the path we continue to talk and tell each other about our journey since we split. Of course I had a hard time convincing him I didn't raid a dragon's nest. Deep into our conversation we heard a noise. "Stop....Listen..." The dragon was on high alert, but a little timid. "Who dares enter my woods!?" A voice boomed. "Turn back now and you won't be harmed. Don't try to be a hero!" Once we found the voice, we entered into a battle. ....... "Thanks for the help!" "If it wasn't for your little dragon pal we'd both be toast!" The stranger said, laughing. "I guess he won't be bothering anyone else. Hope the rest of your journey goes a bit smoother."
  16. Love the badges!!!! Seeing them added a smile to my morning. ❀️
  17. I plan to do my workouts at home. Life right now hasn't allowed for time at the gym. Would love to get outside when able, though I've been avoiding the cold, so we'll see. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…
  18. Last challenge went well. BabyG did well with sleep training and I finished my HTML course. Going to keep my workout goal since the workout part didn't really start till part way through last challenge. Goals: πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ Workout > I would like to continue to work out at least three times a week. When I think about it, I plan to stretch on the other days as well. πŸ“΅ Phone > I've noticed the time spent on my phone increase greatly since BabyG was born. I would like to get that down to very minimal use. My goal will be to only use my phone for messages during the day unless necessary. (i.e. no social media/games until around 6pm-later) πŸ“˜ Book > I would like to get back into reading, which should hopefully be easier the more I stay off my phone. I'm planning to start with an Autobiography and see where things go. I'm only about 1/5 of the way to my reading goal for the year, so not real optimistic about hitting that, but we'll see what happens. I'd like to read at least twice a week. πŸ‚ Outside > I've noticed that I don't really go outside much now that it's gotten a bit colder. I'd like to take time at least once a week to take intentional time to spend outside with BabyG, and others if they're willing to brave the weather with me. lol -------------------- ---------- ----- - Total Possible Points: 65
  19. Day 6 - Blocked Path > 100 points < Total points: 750 Upper body workout today. Lots of push ups. Didn't finish part 2, but wasn't bad. Continuing down the path there seems to be something in the way. Maybe I can climb over it.... *baby dragon looks on questioningly* "....well it's not like I can punch my way through..." Made it over the blockade. On with the journey!
  20. Courses - πŸ“˜ > As I mentioned last challenge, I've been working on an HTML course. I don't really have a plan for when I'd like to finish the course, though I wouldn't mind having it finished by the end of the year. My goal this challenge is to work on the course at least once a week. If I do that, I'll get myself pretty much to the end of the course. (Before I looked just now I didn't realize how close I am to finishing.) > I was able to finish the HTML course and read through the syllabus for my next course. (Introduction to CSS3) Schedule - πŸ—’οΈ > Last challenge I wrote out a schedule for myself and intended to follow it as much as I was able. Well, lots of things came up last challenge and that kind of failed.... This time around I plan to use the schedule to loosely help me stay on top of things/getting things done, especially on days where I don't have to leave the house. πŸ˜… So the goal here is to follow the schedule I've written out as closely as I'm able (on days I'm able to) and adjust as needed. ( I'll also try to remember to mention what I'm getting done around the house) > I was able to relatively stay on schedule. I didn't have any weeks with complete consistency, but can't complain about how things went. Workout - πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ > This goal has been around for a bit, but I took a break after BabyG was born. I tried to get back into working out and then found out I hadn't healed as well as I thought and working out went out the window again. πŸ˜• I may or may not see a full workout, in terms of what I'd like it to be, but I'm more focused on slowly working up to working out again. So this will encompass things like stretching/potential PT, etc. (at least 3x per week) > Surprised myself and didn't miss a day with this! When I felt up to it, I switched from stretching to working out and started Hero's Journey. I'm liking it, but man is it a lot to start into! lol Baby - 🍼 > BabyG is growing so fast and I can't believe that time has gone by as fast as it has! As she starts to settle into a pattern of naps during the day, D and I have decided that we'd like to work on sleep training with her so that hopefully nap times and night sleep times will be easier on all of us. The plan with this one is consistency. > Hit this goal every day. It was definitely super hard to start with, and still isn't fun to hear her cry when we first lay her down, but she's doing super well and is usually sleeping pretty quickly after we lay her down. It definitely helps to stick to a relative schedule with her and laying her down when she's tired. --------------------------------------------- Overall, I'm happy with how things went this challenge.
  21. Week Five: S M T W TH F S C - 🟩 - 1/1 S - πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯🟩πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯ - 1/5 W - 🟩🟩🟩 - 3/3 B - 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 - 7/7 (+5) Weekly Points: 17 Total Points: 95 ------ The end of this challenge was pretty good. Wednesday we had church in the evening. There was another family that joined us in the nursery. It was nice to not be the only ones in there, but someone else had left their young boys in there, so listening to the livestream was a bit difficult. Friday D and I had an evening away and had the opportunity to spend time with other young couples from our church, many of whom we hadn't met yet. It was so nice, and also nice to just have that time together without having to worry about keeping a tiny human alive. Saturday I went to a baby shower in the morning, which was such a sweet time! Played the RPG in the afternoon/evening. It was our GM's birthday and the dice seemed to know it. πŸ˜‚ Got demolished by a bunch of tiny rats.....
