  1. Well, to be honest, I really liked the first half hour. I got super excited when we first see Neo with the computers because I thought it was going to go in a totally different direction. There were a few things I thought they did really well, but overall I felt like the storytelling was super weak and disjointed.
  2. Loving the Matrix gifs! My boyfriend and I just saw that movie today!

  11. NeuroWitch looked at herself in the mirror. Ugh! This was not what she wanted to see. Still, looks aren't everything. She headed out the door and went about her day. By the time she returned home she knew that something had to change. She had gotten winded just by walking up a flight of stairs at work, she had to change her shirt before leaving since her favorite one was too small, and all day long she had felt tired and rundown. It was time to do something about it. "Sure, time to do something," the imp who lived in her brain said, "But not until after the holidays. After all, this is a stressful time of year. No point in making it worse by failing at something you've already failed at so many times before." NeuroWitch glared at her reflection in the mirror. She had no clue how that nasty little imp had managed to work itself into her mind, but she suspected it had happened sometime during her marriage. The nasty little thing sounded an awful lot like her ex-husband. "I see no reason to put off starting this now. Yes, the holidays are stressful, but that's no reason not to make changes that will eventually result in my feeling better," NeuroWitch stated out loud, "I just have to start small and build off of the things that I have already been doing. I'll be more consistent about my bodyweight workouts, drink more water, stop drinking anything that has calories in it, and if my doctor okays it tomorrow I will walk a mile on the days I don't have a bodyweight workout. If walking isn't okayed by the doctor, I will do a yoga routine on those days instead. None of those are hugely big, but they will all add up. Plus, I'll make sure to give myself an incentive to help me stay on track! Goal #1: Workout daily - specifically, every other day I will do my bodyweight workout. On the days I don't do that, I will either walk a mile or do a yoga routine depending on what my doctor recommends tomorrow. Goal #2: I will drink at least 64 ounces of water every day. Goal #3: I will not drink anything with calories in it. Bonus Goals: 1) Complete my morning routine. 2) Complete my evening routine Incentive: $1 for each goal met every day. That means a maximum of $5 a day. This is money that is specifically for buying books with! This will start tomorrow, December 1st.
  12. Saturday I did not do any of the things, although I probably stayed in my calorie range (but I didn't count so I'm not sure). My boyfriend and I took our two oldest girls to the local Renaissance Fair, so I had already decided that it was going to be a relaxing day where I didn't worry about challenge stuff. Official Day 8 Goal 1: I did a respawn in the app, so I did the bodyweight test (I was able to do 3 full push-ups!) and walked a mile. 2 points Goal 2: I drank 8 glasses of water. 2 points Goal 2: I tracked my calories and stayed under budget! 2 points Life Goal: I completed my morning and evening routines. 1 points Today's Point Total: 7 points Cumulative Total: 26 points
  13. Wow...I went totally off the rails this week! Although, I have still managed to actually lose a little bit of weight overall! On Monday, I did my bodyweight workout and walked a mile. On Tuesday, I walked a 5k to earn my Most Massively Useful 5k medal. 4 points Official Day 5 Goal 1: I did my bodyweight routine and walked a mile. 2 points Goal 2: I drank 4 glasses of water. 1 point Goal 2: I did not track my calories. Life Goal: I completed my morning routine. 0.5 points Today's Point Total: 3.5 points Cumulative Total: 19 points So...I had a terrible night last night. I wasn't tired so stayed up later than I would have liked. Then there was relationship drama in the middle of the night. It all got sorted, because we always talk about things asap when they come up, but the end result of that was me going to sleep around 5am. I didn't get up until 1:30pm. Now everything is wonky and today has been full of tears and stress. Even though everything is good in my relationship, this also brought up some baggage left over from my previous marriage. Argh! Official Day 6 Goal 1: I did not work out. Goal 2: I did not drink enough water. Goal 2: I did not track my calories. Life Goal: I did not do any routines. Today's Point Total: 0 points Cumulative Total: 19 points
  14. This month, I am tracking if I drink 8 cups of water in the day, if I tracked my calories all day in my app, if I did a daily workout, if I did my morning routine, and if I did my evening routine. I also have a variety of non-daily goals listed! Official Day 1 Goal 1: I walked a 5K. 2 points Goal 2: I drank 4 glasses of water. 1 point Goal 2: I only tracked my calories and stayed under (even though I went out for dinner)! 2 points Life Goal: I completed my morning routine. 0.5 point Today's Point Total: 5.5 points Cumulative Total: 15.5 points
  15. Thanks! I had another chiro appointment on Friday and I feel better, although still not totally pain free. Regardless, I got paid extra this month, so I did some shopping and got new workout stuff (a set of kettlebells, a set of adjustable weight dumbbells, weightlifting gloves, and a set of resistance bands)! Today was a total wash as well, but I am feeling very motivated to turn it around tomorrow. I have my bullet journal set up for August, and I am hoping to lose a decent chunk of weight before heading off on my New York City trip! Plus, I am going to be having to go into work more this month, and having that kind of routine always helps me stay on track a little bit more!
