Forgetting to log in on Nerd Fit. I did keep tabs on my weight on a piece of paper so that was something.   4. The first and only time I played DnD I was a Druid. Loved being able to go bear shape and carry people or wail on the baddies. I enjoyed it a lot but was wanting to try a rogue at the end. However the fever dream of a character I want to make for lolz would be a Satyr that is a Bard. xD
  5. It is so hard when everyone else is getting the sweets and you have to bear with it! I read in the Willpower Instinct by Kelly McGonigal that sometimes setting a 10 minute timer can help break the urge! If you still want it after that then go for it, but sometimes 10 minutes is all you need to get yourself out of the restaurant and into the car too! Tell me about this floor sitting, is it supposed to be beneficial for posture? I feel like I learn something new every time I read your thread ❤️

  7. Weekly check in! I have crawled back up onto the heroes path my friends. If on your travels you see a bedraggled ranger with chocolate stains around her mouth, leaves in her hair, and a somewhat sheepish look on her face, be sure to wave- it me. Managed to not slip slide away on Monday's weigh day and maintained where I was. Have been getting an almost daily walk. Water is still ehhhh. I did a dirty fast for 2 1/2 days this week. I love the health benefits of fasting, and used to be and IF-er but after baby #2 kinda needed have around the clock meals and fell out of the habit. I'm thinking of starting IF up again but even if I don't I do enjoy the occasional once every couple months dirty fast option. Noticed that my joints feel better after fasting some and my energy went shoom thru the roof. It's amazing what you can get done when you are avoiding food. And holy cow the weight loss. I have been pondering on using food to motivate myself to meet my goals. Kinda like the proverbial carrot on a stick but more of a corn dog instead. Like, if I meet my small goal of a certain number of pounds, I get to go treat myself to a Korean Corn Dog which I've always wanted to try. Or some other food that would motivate me to work hard. I would have to be careful to keep it just at one meal of fun, which has me wondering if I could do it. I am a total foodie though so this type of reward would be really exciting for me. P.S. - My husband also joined the forum!
  8. Stayed the same, which I am SOOO grateful for because I blew it Wed-Fri. Sometimes I wish I could log the scale I have AFTER Mondays. Tuesday's and Wednesdays are always lower than my Monday. But then...the weekend happens. The weekends keep thwarting me, but I am determined to make it through this one with a loss.

  10. A light phone is a super basic phone. I can get calls, texts, and podcasts with it. They just added a directions feature, but I have a GPS so I don't use that feature. It's been nice to get control of my life. With my iPhone I felt like instead of me getting to use it, it used ME! Woop woop! Way to go staying under! I agree with Harriet, a beer is a lovely way to spend those extra calories. And fancy beer is even better. What kind did you end up drinking?

  13. Way to go with your walking! Staying off the phone is hard business. Last year I got a light phone and I definitely feel it has helped me stay present. Don't even get me started on chocolate.
  14. Way to go girl! May I say you jumped on that wagon harder than you fell off of it! I am crawling back up on the wagon myself, and I am feeling inspired and hopeful after reading your update. It was so hard for me to want to log back in and report on my misses but I know that's a crucial step for me.
  15. This week has been so busy! We finished up with our Homeschool Co-op this Tuesday and I feel like I just recovered haha. I helped tutor this year so all the kiddos sent me home with chocolates for a thank you gift. Chocolate + Horomones = Keto slip I fought the craving boss battle and lost this time around. So now the battle this weekend is to not turn the slip into a slide and hopefully lose the carb creep before my officially weigh in on Monday. 😬 As for my other two goals- My water intake has been shoddy, but I have kept at my 30 mins of exercise a day! I did weights today but have usually been strolling around my neighborhood for 30 minutes when the weather is nice. This coming week I will be shining my goals back up and getting firmly out of the brambles and back onto the heroes path. Wish I had better things to say other than my "lets see how fast I can slide back down the hill I just walked up" report. My fingernails are still admirable so I at least have that going for me lol! How was your week friend?

  18. Did a set of weights yesterday after having been away from them since November last year. And lemme tell ya'll I am feelin the burn this morning, hello. Went a lil loosey goosey this weekend but still managed to lose a pound when Monday came. Got some new walking shoes yesterday, hopefully they will help the plantar fascitis stay away. I am the type of person to usually go to form over function haha but all that changed when the fire nation came I got older. Kinda. I am still trying to convince myself to get rid of my cute heels. Just got back from our homeschool co-op and I am beat and treating myself to a crystal light drink (strawberry watermelon). Yesterday the couch I had been saving for since September last year came in and I am in love. That is a bummer but probably better for you in the long run! I recently read an article on artificial sweeteners and it was not painted in a great light. Since then I have been trying to reduce my consumption but sometimes a girl needs some low carb chocolate lol. Thanks I joined it!! Thank you kindly! Drinking all the water!

  21. Subbing! It's really cool how you give yourself level points. I feel like I am benefitting so much fitness wise from this community but also really fun nerd things too. Quartet sounds interesting, I don't know much about it but am assuming it's musical in nature? What do you play? Also good luck on your new job! I hope you really enjoy it.

  23. Well, I was planning on logging in here with at least a Mon/Wed/Fri update but for some reason was unable to log in on Microsoft edge. After various and many attempts of trying to log in I switched my browser to Firefox thirty minutes ago and here we are. Thank you all for your advice and the warm welcome! Without further ado here is my log from this week: Lost around 2 pounds give or take scale fluctuations. I try to weigh daily as I find that keeps me focused. I have a tendency to hide from the scale if my eating habits are bad. An "if I can't see it then it didn't really happen" kind of situation. Silly, but there it is. Created an account on Habitica to keep up with my tracking and to-do list, the whole family followed shortly thereafter with my 11 year old daughter being the most zealous of us all. I am amazed at the amount of things I got done and stayed on top of yall. My face is glowing due to a gallon of water and AM/PM skin care regimen. I keto'd but didn't really track calories or carbs this week. I ate when I was hungry and stayed away from carby foods. If I got a craving I would have a little bit of the the Lily's stevia sweetened chocolate chips and that worked really well. I also tried to stop eating 3 hours before bed and I think that really helped this week! I didn't realized how snacky I got. Memorable meals this week: Greek sheet pan shrimp with feta cheese and kalamata olives, and Queso dip with pork rinds. Workouts- Biking, Walking, Yoga. I biked more this week than anything else. I have a stationary bike that I use when I am in a time crunch or the weather's crummy. This week my favorite thing to do was to sit and bike through a K-drama episode, or bike along with youtube videos that were biking through scenic areas. I biked through Japan twice lol. Misc- Bought another gallon water bottle and have had 4 out of 5 days drinking all of it. Also trying to be better about my bedtime as I know that can really affect weight loss. I had a couple of sloppy days getting to bed on time. Got my nails done yesterday and went with a perky light green with daisies and it really makes me happy looking at them? This upcoming week I think I will focus on continuing to stop eating three hours before bed, and tracking my carbs more along with my three main goals.
