  2. w00t for no viruses! That was a ton of infected files. I had a similar experience a few weeks ago when I downloaded an awesome program called Malwarebyte's Anti Malware, which totally sounds like spyware but isn't. Finally my computer works properly again. No more blue screens, randomly changing from a Windows Vista theme to a Windows 98 theme, or turning off by itself.
  3. I've been doing OK. I had a huge gap in working out last week, but I'm starting to get back into it again. Speedy, what martial art(s) do you practice?
  4. Haha that's an awesome way to get motivated! I'd freak out too if I were chased by wolves. Keep kicking ass at pullups. Also, Happy Birthday!
  5. That is the hardest part about chinups. Sounds like you're getting close. The only way I got past it was that I got really excited watching a soccer game on TV last summer, and I ran over to my pullup bar and with a burst of energy did a complete chinup. OK just felt like sharing that haha.

  9. The veins in my hands buldge a lot if I've been running or hiking. Also, I get the veins popping out on my arms when I get a pump from lifting.

  11. Nope. Altair = the brightest star in the constellation Aquila the Eagle. Altair is also one of three stars that make up the Summer Triangle asterism, the other two being Deneb (brightest star in Cygnus) and Vega (brightest star in Lyra).

  13. It's usually potassium deficiency for me as well that causes those awful calf cramps (I call those charley-horses). Try drinking a lot more water too and taking in less sodium. Also, try eating 2 bananas per day instead of 3 per week. Sometimes, though, just hard exercise alone will cause a charley-horse.
  14. Let's do it! I'm in. (around these parts we call them squat thrusts) Just did my 10 burpees and they kicked my ass! I technically did 13 because I kept forgetting to do a pushup at the bottom, since that's how I originally learned them.
  15. Sweet! And I thought Windows 7 always came with XP?? That's such a rip-off. DOS emulators are awesome. I use DOSBox for firing up my "ancient" games.
  16. So I've been spying a bit on the other squads (oh snap!) and some are doing team challenges. I say we do a team challenge. Who's in? Any ideas?

  18. Great point, freefit. I tend to be a little hard on myself so sometimes I need to acknowledge what I HAVE done. It's just that I'm trying to get back into what I was doing for the last couple years, which was running like 4+ times a week. Also, I'm a girl. haha
  19. That's so cool you're getting into personal training. It'd feel so rewarding helping people get into better shape. Looks like you are doing well on your goals too. Yeah Magic 8 Ball! *high five*

Wins: Ran twice (but I should have run more) Went on a bike ride (I LOVE bicycling so this made me happy) Found a race I might want to do this summer (Olympic distance duathlon) Losses: Not enough strength training Went on a small gluttony-rampage this weekend (junk food) Apartment is still a mess. Ahhhh I hate cleaning!! More fail than win this first week. Hope everyone did better than me!! Looks like Altair needs to go run a lap (ya know, like punishment. Except running is one of my fitness goals. Ahhh crap. Altair needs to CLEAN HER APARTMENT! OK that's a more fitting punishment.)

  22. I like your goals. Looks like you are aiming for all-over fitness which is awesome. Keep kicking ass for team Magic 8 Ball How are the shin splints doing? I used to get them a while ago and they suck.
