  1. I biked a mile downhill and then the same mile uphill. I have carefully stretched out (though I didn't think to carefully warm up), and have tried hydrating and eating some light fare, but I still feel slightly out of it. I might take a nap, and see if turning my brain off and on again works. ๐Ÿ˜… The mile did not get me to the mall, but I'm glad I turned back when I did since I was two-tired at the end of it. ๐Ÿคฃ
  2. I do still intend to wear the sunscreen, but my day at the second ren fest was postponed so that Cid and I could attend with friends. So instead today has been a bit laid back chilling at home. Week 1 Friday Update: I don't think I can say I hit my veggie goals (let alone fruit) because work bought lunch (tacos) and Cid and I went directly from my work to watch a movie with friends, making only a quick stop for fast food dinner (burgers). I did have mixed nuts. 1/3 met. I also did hit warm up goals. I did them after posting on my lunch break. And for writing, I returned two of my three books and picked back up "Refuse to be Done" for further second draft insights. I'll renew it from my library and keep it in hand through the month of April. This morning, despite going to bed at nearly midnight, I woke up by chance at 4:45 am. Remembering that writing in the early morning hours is how I got my headstart on many a day in November, I decided to resume my trend of any early morning spent typing with a candle burning and a black monitor hiding the white page I'm filling with words. I wrote about 900 words this morning, finished a scene, saved it and headed to snuggle with Cid. I woke up again at a more decent hour of 8:50. I had breakfast, played Animal Crossing for accidentally hours as Cid turned on another anime series he recently got, and finally moved my butt back into the writing chair to get the daily quota done. I got a little past 1200 before I decided that I didn't want my historian side-character to be named "Melchizadek" anymore, but then my deep dive into name alternatives led me to frustration and no success. His name is now <historian> until I can fix it later. On the other hand, my protagonist's master got named "Arturos" so he's no longer just "Master." But that wasn't a decision I made while trying to write - I found his name while fiddling around with ideas earlier this week, so I'm not gonna be hard on myself for having name probs mid-writing since that's normal enough. Anyway, I was happy to meet quota before that disaster of stalemate, until I remembered 1200 < 1667. Oh yeah. ๐Ÿ˜‚ So I stayed at the computer, read through my emails, distracted myself with some of the Kickstarter information I had emails about, saw that Yoshi Yoshitani's card of the month was "Seven of Coins" which has key words like "sacrifice" and "rewards" which seemed very appropriate for my month of writing ahead. Finally as I considered turning off the computer to come back later, I decided to go ahead and get the last few hundred done with a third scene started up. So I've drafted up three scenes, started inserting notations on where I might expand on scenery when I'm feeling more prepared for them, and I've got a bit more solid start on what status quo I want the story to start from. I did have some of the frozen fruits this morning as a second breakfast with yogurt and grape nuts. I also munched on mixed nuts while prepping eggs and toast for first breakfast. If I can get veggies I'll be 100% on all goals today. I'm also going for the bonus points of biking now that I've posted an update here. Might even go long distance since I have the visibility jacket, just to see how long it takes me to journey to the mall and back. I'll be careful. Thanks for stopping by! Hope your weekend is going well and that your goals are within reach! Sincerely, Maerad
  3. ๐Ÿ˜… Glad I could encourage delicious culinary choices. ๐Ÿ˜ I'm happy to hear that you have a lot of results saying your body is doing well! I still hope the tests provide clarity for the sake of knowing what's bringing on symptoms. But in the meantime, it's great that a lot of things are being crossed off the list of possibility. โค โคโค nice chill rainy day vibes โคโค See you then! Have a wonderful rainy day! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  4. Very true for all our daunting goals. โค I look forward to their telling! Especially since I got the wobbly spoke fixed! ๐Ÿ˜… Woo! You're awesome! Have an excellent time! I will eagerly await your report!
  5. Glad I could help. โ˜บ Glad you're both talking it out, or at least starting to. I'm learning that silently biding only brew bitterness, and it boils over at bad moments. I think there can be ways to find therapy resources for free, but it might be dependent on proximity to places populated densely enough that students are volunteering to get credits and nonprofit organizations are able to provide their services to the densely populated cities. ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜‚ oh my gosh, thank goodness! Yeah, I've been getting ready and I'm still thinking "TOMORROW?!?? ALREADY!??!" ๐Ÿ˜… It's probably because one never actually feel ready, but the timeline of deadlines and goals helps put one in motion to gain momentum toward the destination. ๐Ÿ˜… Aw man, at least on the upside you don't have to put off using prep you had done and prep more to work around her absence. Yay! I hope they make you smile, and bring you reassurance when you wear/roll them respectively. โค โคโค
  6. This is so relatable, though I haven't modified a lot of clothing. And I almost did make a duplicate of a blouse I liked, but I put on weight and let go of the shirt before I could figure out how to even do that. ๐Ÿค” ๐Ÿ˜‚ Ooh! Cute! (And so true) Sorry I hadn't been around, but I found your thread and I'm here now! โค
  7. I have lost all control of the stream of consciousness here. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Glad we're all enjoying ourselves, though. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Week 1 Thursday Update: I know I hit 2/3 hobbit goals because I still didn't grab fruit, and even though I have a bag of frozen fruits I haven't used it yet. So that's on me. I did the exercises before going to bed... Or was it when I woke up this morning? ๐Ÿค” I think it was last night because I'm in need of it at the moment. In regard to writing I decided I might as well skip ahead in the book I was reading because it was about to be a long section about first drafts. So I read the one about the numerous following drafts (with the cool statement that "new writers ask how many drafts they have to do; experienced writers ask how many they get to do.") and revisions. Now I'm on an appropriate chapter about series (which reminds me I haven't been listening to the videos shared by @Sovalis) - relevant since I know these girls are going portal hopping together to get everyone back to their homes. I was excited to play Animal Crossing last night since I had shooting stars for wishing on, and playing with a friend makes it more fun. Prepping dinner beforehand felt rushed, and the cat got under foot (literally got stepped on), and the noodles boiled over for no reason, but the sesame chicken stir fry turned out well anyway despite my feeling frazzled by the end of it. This morning I had an hour to chill before work, so I played a round of Terra Nil (have I mentioned my excitement about it being released in full? I played the demo over and over). It was for the arctic tundra, and that was interesting to work on. I think I'll try it again to work out a better strategy, but not tonight because right after work Cid and I are going to watch the D&D movie with our gaming group in honor of one member's birthday. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I'd tell myself more Terra Nil tomorrow, but I'd better start my writing as early in the morning as I can because Ren Fest part 2 is tomorrow. ๐Ÿ˜ This time I'm wearing sunscreen. ๐Ÿคฃ I might find the time in between, but as it stands I've got plans in the way of playing my shiny new computer game. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ That's not a bad thing. They're all things I'm excited about. Hope you are having a great day and that an excellent weekend is ahead of you!
  8. Thanks! I'm still amazed by your thesis progress. I don't remember doing anything that hard while in college. I just remember "homework, papers, and long papers." That is great! I keep a few notes pinned to remind myself what motivations I have for getting healthy and fit. I think climbing is a fun activity, and I do applaud your drive to pursue it. My bike was my goal. To be honest I think I'm daunted by getting this far. ๐Ÿ˜…
  9. Keep your pants on, and you can still have a fun time getting paint-messy ๐Ÿ˜‚
  10. So proud of you for doing skin care before climbing into bed! I shall aspire to hold to consistency with such tenacity!
  11. Did I make you hungry for salmon? ๐Ÿ˜… Pairing it with sweet potato fries sounds really good! ๐Ÿ˜
  12. That's a solid line of thought to contemplate. Letting NaNoWriMo get me from thinker to writer by completing a draft still doesn't prepare me for being a writer by trade. It was an intense month, and I'm about to try it again, but it's still hyper-focus with a few points of exhaustion at the end. ๐Ÿ˜… American Ninja Warrior is an exciting show to watch, and there are a couple returning competitors I started knowing by name by watching a few seasons, but I also suffered the dilemma of knowing I have no levels in parkour or body strength, and they continue to make the obstacles more challenging, so I'd barely make it past the entrance. ๐Ÿ˜ฐ Not a great outlook. ๐Ÿ˜‚
  13. Honestly, that sounds like the appropriate measures for shipping flat. ๐Ÿ‘ โค yay gardening!
  14. Oh my gosh ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ I do love those kind of events! I might even suggest it if everyone agrees our selection of acrylics should be expended on something other than the minis (especially since we have the fancy mini paints). ๐Ÿ˜… I'd much prefer PANTLESS night! Y'all are wild ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
