  1. *cracks knuckles* You need Ab work? I'll give you ab work. Hanging L-Sits, just file under L-Sits? Don't mind me. I sorted it out. I'm with you Devyn, on all counts. I hates the juice. But I know my brothers need it.
  2. Nah, they start out like a regular pushup, but as you are lowering you also raise your right knee to your right elbow. Then return your leg as you rise. Repeat on your left. They're good for all sorts of your bits. Consider the snake badge yours. Or at least... Consider me no longer contributing to the snake badge. @Nuala: If at all possible, can you just reward me one badge (Member of Murder being my favorite)? I'd rather not bump someone else out of the running.
  3. Keep in mind that Crow Pose is one of my goals. I'm spending at least a half an hour every other day attempting them. I just added in more time yesterday. I'll clock in another half an hour tonight, hopefully before the clock stops. I'll keep the Spiderman Planks off the chart. Makes everyone's life easier. Besides, I can just do more Spider pushups.

  5. Sambie! I totally understand taking a weekend off every now and again. I did the same this weekend with a big ol' pot of chili. A lot of people asked if I regretted it and I tried to explain that I wasn't "cheating" and I didn't see a need for guild. I was just eating a treat I get to rarely enjoy. Man, now I have to drive up to Maine to check out this museum. Any major highlights to the trip?
  6. Hey y'all. I'm back from a long weekend. I was fairly productive this weekend, though I decided to take it off of paleo and made myself a pot of chili. This was my first big non-paleo meal since I started back in June. I'd occasionally had a cookie or something, but this was a couple of quarts of chili. I probably should have planned ahead a bit and toned the spice down enough that everyone else can enjoy some as well. Then I wouldn't have "had" to eat it all. I'm pretty well on track with my circuits. I've subbed in assisted shrimp squats for my usual assisted pistols. I'm not yet sure how I feel about that. Balance work is going great, though I'm apparently way worse with an audience. How's the world treating you guys? I'm hopefully making parsnip chips tonight. Then maybe I'll have something to dip in my guacamole and salsa. Now to go catch up on everyone else. Sambie here I come.
  7. Would spider-man planks (or crossover spiderman planks) count for this? I just realized I'm doing them as well and might toss them on the sheet. Figured I could stack them with the spider pushups.
  8. Man, Wolverine. I'm getting some looks at the office. I couldn't help but laugh at the Juicebox Assassin up there. He's my background on my work PC now. I'd think you'd have issues with Creeds...
  9. Think of it like going to the beach. I don't know what the water is like in France (likely colder than it is here), but I always feel like the best way to approach the ocean is by jumping right in. Once you get over the initial shock, you can get to enjoying yourself.
  10. Dresden Files? They're an Urban Fantasy about a wizard PI in Chicago, IL, USA. They're a mighty good read, though Mr. Butcher kinda grows into his talent as a writer. There are currently just over a dozen books and he plans to put out somewhere around 20. I highly recommend them, but I also highly recommend not passing judgement until you've finished the first 3 or so books. Polka will Never Die!
  11. Just look at today as a reminder of why you don't want to crawl back into bed. It's a habit I need to break as well. Any time I've ever been late to work, it's due to that. It sounds like you're moving full steam ahead, though. I'm expecting you to kick my tail when it comes to climbing.
  12. I can only hop in for a moment right now. I'm hoping to catch up on a bunch of threads tomorrow. Substix, I cannot, for the life of me, find the BOok Lovers thread, can you link me? Frog Stands yesterday were rocking out at 30 to 45 seconds. It was awesome. I really felt like I was doing the pose as opposed to just delaying falling. I'm taking tonight off. It's been a long couple of weeks and I'm getting a massage and hitting the sack early. If Cait's in I might also see about getting my hair cut. Peace out cub scouts.

  15. I just built my first magic deck yesterday. I mostly play with a friend and his 9 year old daughter, so I'm not going for anything tournament worthy. I went with squirrels. We'll see how that does. I'm a member at the Philly Zoo. If you're ever down this way, I'd be happy to take you. The otters are adorable and always playful. Also, we have red pandas and slow lorises.
