  2. Final Numbers: Steps Target achieved: 22 out of 42 days. Total Steps: 450,914 Total Distance: 325.38 Km Average steps per day: 10486 Most active: 21087 (15.26 Km) on 08/26 Also worth noting: Climbed 69 flights of stairs on 09/14 Most of the days I didn't hit my target would have improved if I had taken a 5 minute walk. There were too many days when I was less than 1000 steps away from reaching my goal. Grade: C (50%) Eating paleo Target achieved: Yes. I ate paleo at least 80% of the time. This wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, although I did crave bread a few times. One thing to watch for, is that there are certain foods I shouldn't eat, whether they're paleo or not, just because they make me sick all the time. I'm looking at you, vietnamese coffee with condensed milk! As a side note, I dropped six pounds over the last six weeks. Grade: A (100%) Run a 5K Target achieved: Ish. I started out pretty strong, running as my schedule said to do it, but totally fell of the wagon for the last three weeks. Still, I went and ran a 5K, which turned out to be a 4K, and finished it. Grade: C (50%) Read the Five Love Languages Target achieved: No We read a few chapters, and talked a bit about it, but we didn't put our work in it. Grade: F (0%)
  3. Ran a 5K yesterday. Make that Ran a 4K yesterday. Although it was advertised as a 5K, I felt like the course was fairly short. Not only that, but Endomondo had just finished saying "4 Kilometers completed", when I saw people slowing down, and drinking water. I thought they were doing the 2K Fun Walk, or something, so I kept running. A little bit later, I asked one of the course marshalls were the finish line was, and he said I had already finished. My wife texted me, saying I was done. So, long story short, I did alright, only slowing down for about 5 minutes (after I took the first kilometer way faster than what I was used to). There was no official time, but according to my GPS, it took me 26:35 to finish the fourth kilometer. Overall, a good experience, and I can see myself wanting to do this again.
  4. Dear NerdFitness, I'm alive and doing well. I've been busy, but the updates are pretty much the same: eating mostly paleo (with the exception of ordering pizza one night), and walking 10,000, or close to it every day. As for running, I'm doing terrible. My race is this Sunday, and I don't feel prepared for it. I'll still go, and give it my all, though. I've got a secret motivational tool (I'll post a picture after the race)
  5. As a member of the internet, I hereby request you post your Ridiculously Photogenic Guy picture of the Dirty Donkey Mud Run.
  6. I haven't tried that. Maybe I'll start a stationary marching band.
  7. Not sure about that. There have been days when I've barely reached 7,000. Still figuring out how to consistently make it to 10K
  8. I had trouble posting on the forums over the last few days. TL;DR: Steps: 11815, 10469, 16478, 6537, 21087 Food: Mostly paleo, with the exception of mashed potatoes, pupusas, and two buns. Exercise: walked a bit. Ran/walked with ShawnM the other day. Book: Read the chapters.
  9. Day 16 Total steps: 11751 Breakfast: Eggs, chicken breast, sweet potatoes, avocado. Lunch: Steak, grilled chicken, red peppers, green peppers and onions. Supper: Sausage, squash, onions. Exercise: None. 5LoveLanguages: I keep forgetting to read it. I'm setting myself a reminder!
  10. Day 13 Total steps: 7486 Breakfast: Eggs, bacon. A slice of bread. Lunch: No lunch. Bah! Supper: Mexican casserole. Definitely not paleo. Also, is peach pie paleo? Does it change your opinion if I tell you it was ridiculously good looking? Exercise: None. 5LoveLanguages: Nope. Day 14 Total steps: 7585 Breakfast: Eggs, sausage. A slice of bread. Lunch: Nope. Bah! Supper: Chicken and veggies. Snacks: Popcorn. A coke can. Exercise: None. 5LoveLanguages: Nope. Day 15 Total steps: 11995 Breakfast: Eggs, avocado. Sweet potatoes. I'm getting tired of this, to be honest. Lunch: Snacked on some bacon-wrapped plantains. Supper: Steak and veggies. One tortilla. Exercise: None. 5LoveLanguages: Nope.
  11. Day 12 Total steps: 14742 Breakfast: Eggs, Sweet potato, plantain, avocado, bacon. Lunch: Beef, pineapple, green peppers, onions. Hot sauce. Grilled. Deliciousness. Supper: Ground beef with vegetables (not on the menu at Qdobas, I'll tell you that) Exercise: Unloaded a truck fulll of stuff. 5LoveLanguages: Re-read chapter 3.
  12. Day 11 Total steps: 12292 Breakfast: Eggs, Sweet potato, plantain, avocado. Lunch: Garlicky/Lemony chicken. Recipe not worth posting, it was alright. Supper: Hot and Sour Soup, from a Chinese place. Very likely not paleo. Exercise: None 5LoveLanguages: Read Chapter 3.
