1. Okay - a bit more (hastily typed)... As a dad, I need to workout int the morning before I take the kid handoff So - adversity managed - we figure how to do our jobs, raise the kid, and get in a workout. New fun - my car is unreliable AND my boss wants me in the office earlier and stay later in the evening. I panicked - entrepreneur time obliterated and CrossFit gym threatened (incompatible with new demands)! So - one car, CrossFit is 1 mile away, then half mile to bus stop - THAT is a workout... And in a soon-to-be-cold winter. My dedication is going through a test and free time - what is free time? If I can do this (and if God is for me - by the grace of God) - then what will stop me in the future!? It's time to put this to the test - I am not willing to budge on exercise, entrepreneur stuff or family stuff! Here goes! One huge benefit of the bus commute is using that time to work! No longer lost to commute. See - things are already improving.
2. Progressing - this is the best updating I can do.
3. Must agree! Burpees - another level of work while still building push-up strength.
4. I am totally going to copy you - dug out a suit that I wore on a very early date with the woman who is now my wife... wore it 16 years ago and very slim. I'm just going to take and take all the good ideas from Clawed_Bear
5. I need to give "It starts with Food" to my wife - she's on board, but that book brings it all together. Soon... Keep up the work!!!
6. Okay okay... these were ordered and received... they are NOT exactly what I thought they would be... hem...
7. Coming up on a week without an update - so, it's time. I have so many things to do to finish Operation Family Rescue (fitness and financial repair assault). I have continued to improve at CrossFit - I am where I am - will probably continue to be "modified" for quite some time, but I am improving every week. It's indescribable how I feel - getting leaner and stronger and more capable. I love it. Sleep is at goal Eating Paleo is at goal Over-delivering at my current job... they seem happy I am on the FREAKING VERGE of starting my new business. This is it - this weekend I MUST take my first steps of actual business... fear is all that is in the way. I love you all - thank you...
8. Yeah - I think that better be my theme until next summer - my 8 months of life-repair! DON'T HOLD BACK! GALVANIZE I need to get back to posting on the NF group in Fitocracy! Thanks for your encouragement Yes - I shall now update...
9. This is GREAT news - what a gift! Will you be posting bundle updates here? You rock!
10. Kids... I so relate! My son is the push-up destroyer! Nice progress.
11. Hey Muscles! are you seeing more of Adam at home these days? Nice work.
12. I'm good! Tired but good! How is AKLulu? Love that photo - color and lighting are cool!

13. Good stuff Hammlin - I'm taking that line
14. Here is my challenge - http://www.nerdfitness.com/community/showthread.php?18871-Galvanize-Don-t-hold-back-the-time-has-come
15. Okay - I will be brief because I need to go to sleep and I have so little time right now (family, work, business endeavors, exercise...) A few years ago, The Chemical Brothers released the song Galvanize with the refrain "Don't Hold Back" (and a few other refrains)... well, the time has come to "Push The Button" and not hold back. I have to turn the corner! This might be a theme song for me in 2013 (and until the end of 2012). Part of what keeps me from writing challenges is the guilt I feel for being a poor forum participant. My apologies to everyone else - I'm terrible about supporting others on the forums. Until I get my family to where it needs to be, my time is TOAST. I have two special opportunities during this challenge - my family will be traveling twice during which I have the rare opportunity to work on my businesses without feeling like I'm neglecting them... and they NEED ME to do this!!! So, keeping it simple and sticking the the theme from Chemical Brothers song Galvanize - Here are the goals. GOAL ONE: Build Strength & Metabolism 1 - Go to crossfit 5x / week GOAL TWO: De-stress 2 - Increase the Sleep - 7 hours per night GOAL THREE: Lean out 3 - Eat Paleo - no grains, dairy or legumes - that's the goal - eat clean and get lean GOAL FOUR: Money for the family Over-deliver at job while doing deals on side to begin my entrepreneurial dream and better provide for the family SPECIFICALLY: 4a - Exceed job metrics by 20% 4b - Establish two businesses by end of challenge (I know what I mean here, but I want to keep it at that in terms of sharing)
16. emcee ! You rock... going to draft my 5-week challenge (to correspond with everyone else's 6 week)
17. We will find out when she sees the shorts... oh boy. I think she will be excited about it, but she does have final say as to what is okay.
18. Yeah - about that... ordered similar small shorts (no anchor)... not quite wanting the Village People vibe... though it might be worth hearing emcee bust a gut in laughter... we will see.
19. I guess I better get to cracking on a corresponding 6-week challenge
20. O M Goodness - this is really happening. Okay. Ummmm. Here is the context of my challenge 5'7" and currently 225 and losing inches around the belly with my recent ramp up of crossfit and paleo eating. By the time next summer roles around, I commit to a photo in James-Bond-like trunks... and the hope is that I will be freaking lean and jacked - ripped. If I get bold enough (or envious enough), I might join emcee in posting intermediate photos, but they would be so much cooler revealed all at once. So far, it has been absolutely hilarious to read the reviews of shorts on Amazon.com Emcee - I think we won't be wearing these...
21. Great theme - and I like the military goal being included. Go kill that test!
