  1. Oh it's Thursday... anyway. I had a pretty bad migraine yesterday so I stayed home sick from work. Later in the afternoon I ended up doing some chores around the house so I wouldn't feel like a waste of life. Had leftover tortilla soup and played some games. Forgot my running stuff again so I'll have to do it when I get home. Dinner tonight is "Deep Dish Pizza".
  2. Cigar night is always fun, since I took the bike in no one asked why I wasn't drinking. I still hate running, I don't think that will ever change, but I'm running regardless. Sorry for the lack of updates, been a little hectic everywhere. Things are still going good, I didn't get as much done around the yard as I wanted last week because it rained every dang day. I need to mow the lawn at some point when my yard is a little more solid. Changed my brakes on the car on Sunday so I guess that was ok. Dinner tonight is Chicken breasts and artichoke hearts with a sun dried tomato pesto. Rode
  3. Life is funny, but I guess it is nothing I can't handle I'm giving it a good effort for sure Thanks man! Not easy to do sometimes, but I'm sure things will look up soon. I'm good, just hate when things don't go as planned. So sorry for the lack of updates, been super busy. Weekend was packed with cleaning chores and food. Saturday was some meat slop making, Sunday I made some split pea soup with the left-over ham bone from easter. Didn't do any running over the weekend but I ran Thursday and Friday. TODO: Run. Tonight is cigar night, this will be interesting as it is the firs
  4. I'm starting to think that I should start texting my co-worker to stop coordinate outfit days. The amount of times he and I have done maroon shirt Monday and blue shirt Thursday is getting ridiculous.
  5. I'm buying that Whitechapel game! That would be perfect for game night. (I'm sick of my wife beating me in trivial pursuit)
  6. They are going so so, but I've had worse I don't care to swim, I used to but then sometime around mid teenage years I just didn't want to do it anymore. It was somewhat older (all steel, no aluminum) and I spent hundreds of dollars every year opening and maintaining it and my wife never swam in it, so I'd rather have my yard than a money sink. Wednesday update time. Tuesday: Went for a run during lunch then had a Caesar salad, then some annoying stuff at work happened at the end of the day, which caused huge withdrawals (trixy brain) but argued myself out of it during my 45 minute driv
  7. Tuesday Morning update: Monday: Ran during lunch, got home and a bunch of scrappers were waiting outside to ask if they could take the scrap metal that I had from taking my pool down, (Sweet, less work for me!). Just reheated some ham slices and made some mixed vegetables for dinner. Played some games and then did a little bit of bible reading. Today: Woke up feeling pretty good, but forgot my lunch sitting on the counter, boo! Guess I'll make a trip out to the corner market for something. TODO: Run today during lunch, dinner (making ham tetrazzini) and some chores. Happy Earth Day! (Pi
  8. There are definitely much worse problems to have I saved the ham bone and always reserve 1.5 lbs for split pea soup, my wife loves my recipe and demands that any holiday that involves ham that I have to make it. I'll be making that on Sunday as she's heading out of town mid-week to visit family. I'll probably make ham salad, ham quiche and ham tetrazzini to use up the leftovers.
  9. Yup, this would not go over well. She gets up 3 hours after I do for work and the flak I would catch would not be pleasant.
  10. life loves to throw us all sorts of things doesn't it. Be strong and take it a day at a time
  11. Thanks, I feel pretty strong so far! Monday morning update time. Sunday - Woke up around 8 a.m. and got back to the pool, finished taking down all the pieces, just waiting for the rest to drain out of the liner and then I'm going to cut it up and throw it out, metal pieces to the curb for the scrappers. Lunch was mostly leftovers while I cooked Easter dinner. The wife is pretty sick still so we stayed back at home and had a Ham (8 lbs. and made my own maple-cider glaze), mashed cauliflower, green beans and candied baby carrots. After dinner I went for a good Motorcycle ride along the lak
  12. Saturday update: Got up around 7 am and went grocery shopping for the week. Got most of the pool taken down and played some video games while I wait for the rest to drain. Was going to run but taking down a pool by myself is a lot of work. Making beef minestrone for dinner then probably some more games and watching hockey playoffs.
  13. That actually hits a little close to how I've been approaching my goal. If I drink now I'm happy now but it doesn't fix the problems that made me unhappy in the first place and those same problems will still be there tomorrow.
