  2. I'm not much of an authority on nutrition but I know there is a lot of bro-science surrounding meal timing. I'm sure there are several authorities around here. Try in the nutrition section, that probably could help you out.

  7. About 6 years ago I had a friend visit from Texas and while she was up wanted chili one night. I found out then that there are no beans in real chili and I haven't used them since. I prefer it this way now.
  8. Well, I had slightly damaged knees from football and they still give me problems sometimes but fish oil and lots of MWODs helped tremendously. I still have to take it easy once in awhile on the golf course but they don't seem to be acting up like they used to.
  9. Hey, if you are having some problems with your knee you should head over and browse mwod. Here is a video about knee pain. That man has changed my life for sure, hopefully his website can at least help you out a bit.
  10. Yeah, the amount of bathroom trips will go up, but I use it as an excuse these days to get up, stretch and fix my posture (hint go to the doorway method) . Being sore a.k.a DOMS, or Delayed Onest Muscle Soreness, will go away with time. After a period of time you won't get it anymore unless you really up the volume or intensity. Just keep at it, oh and get some mobility up in there!
  11. Often times, after I started lifting, I ended up being hungry when I ate a low amount of protein (< 100 g) or little fiber in the day. I found a great way to fix this was to make a crock pot full of shredded chicken on Sunday and get some wraps and bring those to lunch. A cup or so of shredded chicken with Frank's in a wrap kept me full for a long time and for breakfast a healthy dose of fiber (metamucil) with 2 scrambled eggs at 5 a.m. kept me full until well past noon.

Salad 3 cups watermelon cut into 1/2" cubes3 cups of cucumbers cut into 1/2" pieces3 Tbsp fresh lime juice3 Tbsp hoisin sauce1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro2 Tbsp chopped fresh mint 1/3 cup of crushed walnuts or almonds or peanuts (your choice ofc)Put cucumbers and watermelon in fridge for an hour, then drain. Whisk together lime and hoisin, add in clantro and mint. cover salad, sprinkle with nuts. Chicken Marinate for 4 hours (recipe below). Add chicken to a flat iron, pour marinade over chicken and cook for 10-15 minutes over medium heat. Take chicken off to rest, cook down marinade into a thick sauce. Serve. Marinade 1/4 cup cilantro1/4 cup scallions 2 limes (juiced)3 Tbsp Thai fish sauce1 Tbsp soy sauce3 Tbsp sugar3 jalapenos (chopped, seeded if you don't like heat, I like it with seeds)5 cloves garlic (minced)1 Tbsp grated ginger1/2 tsp cheyenne pepperCombine and cook for 10 minutes over medium heat to blend the flavors.
  14. That doesn't sound as awesome as I initially thought it might. Although I've fallen to the, "I'm going to lie in bed and read for a bit" trap way too many times.

  16. That salad is basically cucumbers and watermelon . My wife devoured it and said that the sauce I made for the chicken was one of my better sauces.
  17. Using electric current to measure fat % is always suspect. Regardless you've lost weight, and your macros look good, I'd chalk it up to water / weight fluctuations or other things like that, I tend to fluctuate 3-5 lbs per day depending on what I ate the night before, how much water I've drank or other related factors. Keep an eye on the general trend after a few weeks to get a better idea of what's going on.

  19. And it was soooo good! Today's lifts: Bench Press 5 × 855 × 1103 × 1303 × 1503 × 170 6 × 195OHP 5 @ 10 x 95 Dinner is Thai style marinated chicken with a watermelon cucumber salad (I'll post pictures probably). Huzzah
