  1. Okay! Finally, some good news. I lost some of the bloat - back to my starting weight. AND I've started intermittent fasting. I've done it before, and had great results. We'll see what happens. I'm feeling much better lately. Less stress, not so depressed
  2. I heard that when you start strength training your muscles will retain water to repair themselves? Maybe thats it?
  3. ..one other thing. I use myfitnesspal.com... but I find I eat less when NOT counting calorie - I'm not trying to fill a magic number.. plus, cavemen didn't count calories, (What is this calorie you speak of?) So why should I? I workout, eat clean, after that, should calories still matter? What do you think?
  4. Weighed this morning :/ Umm... gained two pounds! Gonna cut down... on something... Leaner cuts of meat maybe - too much meat, not enough fruit and veggies? And honestly, maybe I do react badly to dairy - I thought I could get away with a little cheese, maybe I can't :/ Too many calories? - I haven't been counting like I was before the challenge and Paleo Transition. Eh.. I'm gonna adjust for week two - maybe cut down on nuts, and eat more fruit as far as snacks go, and also, smaller portions of meat, more veggies to fill me up. We shall see - it's all about sustaining something that works for an individual - back to the drawing board How did your week go everyone?
  5. Yeah, Monday was my day back in the gym, with free weights. I began with the Beginner body workout, and OMG!! I'm so sore today. I also did some kettle bell work, a couple of weight machines, and 30 minutes of strolling around the park to cool down. It was good, but I'm feeling it in my thighs today definitely! The push ups are tough for me, I'm still doing girly ones.
  6. Beginner body work out is painful... Just makes me see how really out of shapes am. I wish I could see the calories burned, but myfitmesspalCo, doesn't account for calories burned doing squats, dead lifts, kettle bell work, etc.
  7. I bought a roast to throw in the crockpot tomorrow, Im pretty excited about it. We will have it with veggies tomorrow and I'm gonna do a Philly skillet with it the next night with peppers and onions. I love my crock pot. I like baking too! We will do chicken legs (a big pack) baked and eat those like barbarians for two days.
  8. Today? Sunday is a free day. After work tonight I do need to do laundry and clean house, but I also will be doing Julian Michaels 30Ds and the Beginner Body workout - not in that order. Starting off with a big plate of eggs this morning, salad with chicken for lunch, and a casserole for dinner - almonds for snacks. It's going to be a good day, because I'm going to make it so!

  10. Today's update? I'm going to do a complete account of my measurements and the progress 7 days in.. in other words.. on the 13th. Today, I feel good about my food and other stuff, but I am having some tough going onz at home - I'm depressed, and hiding in the bedroom since the kitchen still has plenty of terrible things to indulge in on such an occasion. Maybe I'll cry some weight off... okay, that was sad...and funny mostly sad. anywho - FML

  12. Home from vacay! Will check the damage tomorrow. But! I think I managed to lose inches with my walks and swimming, and I did well with the diet under the circumstances
  13. I should add to that I have tweeked my diet plan.. I'm looking to stay under 50 carbs a day to allow less opporuntiy for me to mess up...the less the carb allowance the less likely I will go over. Plus, they make me wanna eat a ton of crap! I've read about counting carbs quite a bit this week, and keep seeing net carbs "the amount of carbs after you subtract the fiber) whatchu know about that? Do any of you count net carbs? I know it also subtracts other sugar replacemnts, but theoretically, we won't be seeing any of those franken foods.
  14. Checking in folks! Day 3 is a bust, but I'm trucking along. The first two days were great! Great local, low carb, fresh foods, and plenty of swimming and walking. Today, the boyfriend is burnt and drained so he's in bed, thus I do believe I will head to the gym. Today was wasn't as good food wise, mostly because of the free beer at the end of our Bud plant tour hah! But I'm moving right along... Hope everyone is doing well.
  15. That's a good plan.. Maybe for two weeks at a time instead? I was looking thru meats today, and I see a lot of chicken in my future. Good cuts of beef are just too expensive!
