  1. #3 Clear the Path:

    My goal for this mini-challenge was to start school of to a good start. The first I always get behind in readings and homework and this year/week I wanted to be on top of it! Mission accomplished.

    Recruitment has been really hard on my goals. I am still working out and loving my workout schedule but I managed to gobble every non-paleo thing on the table and also hard alcohol. Perhaps my expectations were too high knowing I was going to move into a house where I have very little control over what I eat-or am I just letting myself off easy?

    positive note: Since 7/30/12 I have increased my push-up limit by 12, my squat limit by 20 and my plank limit by 20. BEAST!! I think so!

    Also just signed up for a 5K race with my friends on the 22nd. It has really given me the push I need on my training-not wanting to be the slow one in the race.

    I've been doing really shitty at writting down what I work out and what I eat so I have to work on that!!!

  3. Hey Nenia! I completed the 5K and 10K over six months ago so now I have to get back into it. I'll be on Week 3 when this challenge starts, I love it and the iphone/android app makes it soo easy!

  8. Hello fellow Adventurers, I've taken Steve's advice and have created my own super hero persona whose personality I take on whenever I am working out, eating or doing something I'm scared of. I think "Would Emponia be scared?" Hell no! "Would Emponia stop running or push a little harder?" PUSH! This has really helped me in my weight loss goals. So ignore the third person chaos and embrace your inner superhero with me! My superhero/dobbleganger is Emponia: Badass Grok Warrior Princess, please, no applause is necessary. Really, stop, please, you're too kind. I'm trying to tell you her story! *cough* Thank you... *cough* (take on deep voice with peaking intonation) Emponia: Badass Grok Warrior Princess hails from the kingdom of ADAVEN in a dark but magical world. Her super powers went unrealized until she fled from her city and was forced to find new ambitions, passions, friends and ultimately herself. However, she was forced back to her home by a wild villain called DERIPXE ASIV. Upon her return she was confronted with numerous demons, warlocks and sly shadows that challenged her newly found hopes and dreams. Her quest is to fight these monsters and return to DERIPXE ASIV lair for the epic battle. Starting Attribute Points (Emponia is weak from her recent loss in battle) Strength (STR) – 1 Dexterity (DEX) – 3 Stamina (STA) – 3 Constitution (CON) – 2 Wisdom (WIS) – 3 Charisma (CHA) – 3 CHALLENGE #1: Defeat the ferocious demon "REBS" Quests Emponia must complete (Goals): 1. Run a 5K in 30min: 5 points Stamina (STA) 2. Eat Paleo 98% of the time: 3 points Constitution (CON) and not including August 27th which is my 21st birthday. 3. Basic training section of the Rebel Strength Guide: 3 (STR) and 2 Stamina (STA) 4. Start and finish an art/grafitti project: 2 Wisdom (WIS) EMPONIA VS. You must always have a plan of attack before going into battle. 1. Continue C25K Running program, increase speed every run. 2. Write down what I eat each day in order to be more aware of Paleo success. 3. DO IT! 4. Practice drawing weekly, pick focus and complete! Can you tell I am really into Steve's whole quest thing?
