  1. Thank's very much man! I've been powering through my goals, I passed my driving theory test last Wednesday so I have leveled up my life! I'm freaking stoked on it! I've cut the sugar way down too, but at a price, porridge isn't as tasty without it, but knowing it's better for me makes up for that. I haven't been back out surfing yet, which sucks. But I've done lot's of swimming and I'm getting close to my goal! Thanks for the advice, I tend to believe that these kind of things happen for a reason, and hopefully great things will arise for me in the future if I keep up my hard work!
  2. MY GOALS Diet and Fitness Goals: Catch a wave on my surfboard Swim 100m non stop and 50m in less than a minute Cut down my sugar intake. (specifically down to a maximum of 2 spoonfulls on my porridge) Level up my life Goal: Pass my driving theory test ABOUT ME I am a 17 year old dude from Aberdeen, Scotland. I started surfing after I finished school in April and am yet to catch a wave properly. I live in a rural village in North-east Scotland but I see it as no excuse for a regular surf, or at least semi-regular, regardless of the fact I live 20miles from the beach. However I can't drive yet, (I am learning) so I have to rely on my friend to want to drive us, because they don't let me on the bus with my board. I recently broke up with my girlfriend (she dumped me) of about a year and my parents split up in the same week, this was in May/early June. All of my swimming, surfing and life improvement routines completely went out the window. I drank far too much alcohol and smoked weed for about two weeks straight, missing most meals of the day, surviving many days on a glass of OJ and half a bowl of Coco Pops. I was in a poor mental and physical state and wanted to get things sorted. I got my exam results today (August 7th). I sat them during this time in May and they clearly reflect that I was having a tough time, I got a B in Music, a D in Art and No Award (fail) for my History. Although I already have a place at College to study Visual Communication and the B in Music along with my ABBCC grades from last year, does mean I can have a very strong application to University if I decide to go, which is a positive. but I am still not happy with this years poor show in results. I started the Nerd Fitness beginner bodyweight training circuit a few weeks ago, I do it every second day and have been seeing great results! I was fairly skinny but I had no muscle mass and that annoying tiny layer of fat over my abs, but now people are starting to notice my arms and shoulders and I am starting to see some abs poking through. I feel a lot more confident now and I have began to move on from my ex girlfriend and am starting to come to terms with my parents trainwreck. I am very stoked and have decided that I want to become a lifeguard because I hate my current job but I don't quite meet the swimming requirements, hence the swimming goals! I have changed my diet a lot lately and generally I eat quite clean, and I have already completely cut out crisps (chips) and eat mostly Fruit, Veg and Quorn Chicken (I'm vegetarian and it is a chicken substitute made from microprotein, It is rich in protein) But I am a sucker for a sugary snack and put far too much into my porridge in the morning! I currently add 3 - 4 table spoons to it every morning. Jess Connor
