  1. Today was a non-weight lifting day so I swam laps. It was a nice change of pace and what I will do in between training days. I'm doing really good with the paleo. The husband is with the kids at Disney World while I am home with the baby. I've been eating spaghetti squash with homemade sauce using veggie from the garden and ground chicken. I've been eating it twice a day since Monday and still have lots left. It's a good thing very one gets home Friday, I'm gonna be squashed out lol. Breakfast was a protein shake made with non-fat lactose free milk, half a banana and a serving of almond butter. YUM!! I'm kinda sore lol, but am going to have a protein shake before bed and go to bed early tonight and see if that helps for tomorrow. I got a new workout notebook and already wrote my workouts for the week down so no more wasted time figuring out my WOD at the gym. I can drop the baby off at child care and get after it. I need to take pictures and measurements I'll update tomorrow with all that.
  2. Good luck! You have a very sound set of goals
  3. I second that making a weekly meal plan is a good idea! I plan for two weeks at a time. Shop for what we need and if anything can be pre-prepped and frozen in advance I do that. Saves time as well as helps me stick to the meal plan.
  4. You will feel so much better when you can kick soda! When I kicked my insane diet coke habit I dropped 6 pounds in one week. CRAZY!! I love doing c25K. I have an app on my phone for it. You're doing great!!
  5. Ok let's see, accountability time. Yesterday I took my slug self back to the gym. I've been crazy busy with work stuff and just haven't made the time for most of the summer. I'll post yesterday's and today's stats here together because I didn't know this forum existed until today!! Monday: c25K -started this one over as it had been weeks since I ran, bad me. Unfortunately I ran out of time before I could get anything else in as I was late getting to the gym for my childcare slot and I took too long to plan out my WOD. Note to self, do that at home, the night before. *forhead smack* Tuesday: 5.0 mph walking at steep incline on treadmill for 20 minutes to warm up. Moved on to 5x5 strength training. Barbell bench press, bent over row, renegade rows, wall squats and turkish get-ups. Cool down was 5 sets of sprint/walk 60/90s then I got to hit the steam room and relax.
  6. Thanks! I run a couple of businesses. First is an online embroidery design business. I've had this one for going on 9 years. Next is my pattern making business for children's clothing and cloth diapers and finally a fabric supply business aimed at mama's that cloth diaper. They let me stay home with the kids and earn money while doing things I enjoy so it's a WIN-WIN in my book. I would ultimately like to drop down to 130-135 ('m currently 138...132 is the 100 pound lost mark) but honestly at this point I'm all about the muscle building to be more toned and defined than the numbers on the scale. I'm happily wearing a size 4/6 and feeling pretty comfortable in my own skin again. Oh yeah I was a chunky mama after having my last baby lol. Through a lot of lifestyle changes that thankfully the whole family has supported I have been able to make radical changes to my life and I feel great. I'm thrilled that they are all on board with going paleo on top of everything else already. It really helps to have everyone on the same page.
  7. Hi I'm new here. I found this site doing research on the paleo diet. I am working towards a total transformation of myself and this is the next logical step. I'm totally in for this challenge!! Background: I'm a self employed mom of six. I have been working on getting healthy since last October. I have lost almost 100 pounds and 10 dress sizes. I am almost to my goal weight. I am now working on getting lean and more toned. At my last assessment I was 18% body fat which is still amazing to me! For this challenge I hope to achieve: 1. Dropping the last few pounds to hit my goal. 2. Being able to run 5k straight without stopping. I'm close! 3. Tone up and lean out following the paleo diet and strength training. 4. Increase productivity for my business and get my name out there more! Looking forward to getting to know everyone and rock this!! Krista
