  1. Would it be better to focus on move each day, really pushing it to the max, and then do a different exercise the next day throughout the week? Or would it be better to have a circuit including various moves and do it a few times a week? Why? I would like to get serious about bodyweight training. I am fairly good at squats and push ups, but my back needs a lot of work. Thanks in advance!
  2. Awesome workout and grats on the better results. How has dunking been coming along?
  3. What is this Tabata of which you speak?
  4. If anyone is interested in http://twentypullups.com/ it is the word 20 spelled out instead of the number. So did my work out yesterday. Feel like a total beast getting my pump on after not working out for so long. I was sweating pretty much the most I ever have. So much it was badly in my eyes and when I rinsed them out at first I was afraid I burst the vessels in one. 8/10/12 results: Squats - 22, 11, 11. Leg Lifts - 22, 13, 11. Pushups - 16, 14, 15. Bent over dumbbell rows 30lbs - 15, 15. Planks - 50 sec., 50 sec. Doing these in quick succession is really getting my heart going but makes my
  5. I will try the under armour. Thanks! Also sit ups are something I had done since elementary school. Part of gym curriculum. Had this problem since middle school at least. I haven't done a "sit up" in years though; thanks for the concern! Are sit ups being bad a hot topic? Any other ab exercises that are the devil? I have done p90x's ab ripper routine before often and more recently only leg lifts (since finding nerd fitness).
  6. I have a Men Only Question: When I do leg lifts or sit ups or some variations, it is like I push through then drag back my testicles between my thighs. So I will have to reposition them, which interrupts my workout. However if doing many reps they find their way back to being pushed through and brought back... obviously uncomfortable. Anyone else get this or know how I can prevent it? I've tried wearing tight tidy whiteys, hoping to kind of pack them in more but that didn't completely work and was a pain in its own right.
  7. This. Leave it to the natural order of things.
  8. Good goals. I've also tried to drink more water. I set out to drink a glass before work and then one at lunch. What is your set workout list? How's it going so far? Great job on the jumping jacks!
  9. On the push ups can you do them off of your desk? It will decrease the difficulty and I wouldn't want to be on the floor here in my office! I read an article now lost to time about work exercises. The one I remember is to extend your foot under your desk (or just raise it off the floor). Then draw circles/figure 8s in the air with your big toe. Alternate feet.
  10. Ok I'm inspired to look into overcoming gravity now. How are you liking the yoga? I love it so much. I work hard, but always leave feeling bliss. It was a tough call for me to become an assassin over druid. I think I might level up a la final fantasy job system. Keep up the good work! Soiyer - I would really like to see a pokedance. I'll sing the pokerap as a trade?

  12. I have several big props to give to you sir. The working out 6 times a week. That has always broke me down mentally and I just feel sluggish and wasted as opposed to more fit - so I am impressed. The crow pose contest is super cool too. Also do you teach in a block or 1 specific class? Big ups to the sculptor of the future. Take care of them youngins. Seems like you are doing good work sir. Keep it up.
  13. Here to share the support! "Footbag" I have seriously never heard it called that, and I was super into hackey sack (same thing) all throughout high school and college. I miss playing hackey sack, but for me it needs to be a team (circle) sport. Do you jump rope? If not I believe it would be a great training tool for you. It is cheap, helps with cardio, coordination, and hopping around (footbag skillz). How is the staying in the calorie zone going?
  14. I want to thank everyone for the interest! For those who have offered to help keep me on track - don't be afraid to call me out or to push me harder. It helps my motivation. I have updated the original post with grading. 8/8/12 Results: I did not look into a new career path at all yet. This will probably start next week. I did not have any soda last night despite eating at the mall. I did have a super sugar lemonade though. Big Brother Watch house party tonight, a soda temptation night to be sure. I did not decrease my meal portion sizes last night. I need to go grocery shopping for healthy s
  15. Real Life back story: My youth was completely invested in video games. In my 20s I played around with weight lifting with a friend with good beginning results. Late 20s I started investing more time in my girlfriend as my buddy married his. This resulted in bad eating habits and no exercise schedule. I just turned 30. My once naturally athletic build has grown a belly large enough to start to hang. This needs to change and I want to to be able to say, "I am in the best shape of my life" this time next year. This should include being able to do pull ups like they are nothing. It has been diff
