  1. I eat breakfast at work so I'm always looking for ideas on easy to transport stuff. So far I go for some combination of... eggs, boiled cottage cheese (w/lemon juice or salt & pepper or cherry tomatoes) cream cheese (with either avocado or on rice cakes... plus sunflower seeds) tuna yoghurt (Greek) nuts seeds My favourites are... tuna with cottage cheese and sunflower seeds and a little lemon juice yoghurt with chopped nuts, milled flaxseed and a bit of honey or maple syrup And a double espresso ;P
  2. Goal 1: Squat bodyweight for 1RM. Achieved! I am about 52-53kg and I squatted 60kg. That's an A, baby. Goal 2: Handstand for 1 minute. Fail. I made it to 43s and I did a little bit of asking around about how to improve it. I give myself a D. Goal 3: 1 Escrima class a week. Fail. I made it to 2 classes out of 6 weeks, so I give myself a D. Goal 4: Keep to study timetable. I'm studying statistics and my exam is on the 2nd week of October. Achieved! This is why my escrima goal failed though. I give myself an A. Overall score: (5+1.25+1.25+5)=12.5 out of a possible 20 so that's about 63%, which is a C. Must try harder.
  3. Nice one, I love a bit of reading with intent. I have shoulder problems and have recently bookmarked loads of info on rotator cuff pre- and rehab so I'm gonna focus on that and definitely incorporate some of that into 2 workouts this weekend.
  4. I'm off to a festival and taking those days as a break from logging - bad timing! I'll still be trying to stick to a good macro balance but pretty much sitting this one out. Good luck y'all
  5. Alrighty, 870m in total with 25% bodyweight per hand... that'll have to be it.
  6. Absolutely! I'm a big proponent of taking breaks. Not only do you come back refreshed and all that but during the break, you get to be baaad! Ice-cream, pizza, films in the afternoon... big bad rebel.
  7. A mere 670m done out of 1600m with 25% bodyweight (13.6kg in each hand). Today's was done with 2 cats & 1 neighbour watching... Plan to do about 300m tomorrow and the next day but the 1600m goal is looking very very far away.
  8. Yeah, I also would like to know this. Gonna start tonight... Update: Okay, woah, that was hard. I did 30 laps of my garden at about 10m per lap, so that's only 300m down of 1600m... yikes. I'm about 53kg, so I've got 13.6kg in each hand.
  9. This site has free 1 hour weekly classes and free 'light' classes that could get you started and are easy to do from home - www.yogatoday.com I'm working on flexibility too and have found the easiest way to get some yoga in is to do it first thing in the morning. I just do about 5 or 10 minutes but at least it's something and then maybe once a week try to get a class in. Plus once you've learned the sun salutation, you could use it as part of your cool down stretching.
  10. Sounds like you probably would've made it if it wasn't after your other lifts, though. So there's that.
  11. Woop Woop! Did it Bodyweight is about 53kg, so did 27.5kg (slightly more than bodyweight) for 50 reps. Felt good. Warm up was 10 bodyweight squats, then 5 at 15kg. Now on with the rest of my workout EDIT TO ADD: Squat 5RM is about 45kg (to be tested). Just for context.
  12. I just can't wait to finish! I have so many plans to make plans and lists and a lot of doing nothing for a change... or maybe even, some spontaneity! Whoo. Hope your dissertation goes well
