  1. It stinks when people are sick, there's a lot going around, I think it's a result of school being back in session. Do what you can and your AvRangers will be here for you.

I may plateau next cycle because of how grindy that rep was, but I'm gonna give it my all and try to bust 205 or more in seven weeks. I'm still reveling in the noob gains on squat and loving every minute of it. I love me some fall. Course, with all the live oaks down here, we have green at this time as well. Oktoberfest is a big deal in South Texas, between New Braunfels, Fredericksburg and the Alsatians in Castroville there is a huge German influence here. Bring on ze kraut und ze schnitzel und ze bier.

  5. Stinks that you're having such a crappy week. Let me tell you this. You have a zillion challenges in your life. And yet you keep going, you encourage the rest of us on our boards, you had the courage to get out of a bad marriage, you do manage to raise your children and you accomplish more than you realize. There are people who don't have a tenth of the difficulty you do who sit on their ass day after day and accomplish absolutely nothing. You are doing more with your life than some people ever dream of doing. And I don't think it's coincidence you are struggling after becoming baptized. Something (two guesses what or who) out there is scared of what you can accomplish and is trying very hard to keep you down.

  7. You're not the only one who struggled on week 1. Loving your attitude about killing the rest of the challenge, keep up the good work. And btw, dipping a match in melted wax makes any match instantly waterproof.
  8. Those rail jumps were awesome! I can't believe Cowboy Fans and Packer Fans are getting along. We've come a long way since the ice bowl.

  10. Thanks. Deadlifts happen at least once a week. Lifted today. This week is the testing phase of the seven week cycle where I try for new 1RMs. Today was bench and Squat. My bench (all numbers in lbs) went from 195 to 200. The 200 was very grindy, but I got the weight up on my own so I'm claiming it. Squat went from 135 to 150. As I said last challenge, the ratio is off because I didn't have access to a squat rack until earlier in the year so I'm playing catch up here. Run day tomorrow then Wed is OHP and Deadlift. I did laundry this morning and am staying up with cooking. Tomorrow is also Domestic Rangering day (with vacuuming and cleaning the bathroom).
  11. It's a good thing you said something about what was bothering you, and I agree, this is one of the few places on teh interwebz where we can actually work stuff out. Good job going from 5/10 to 7/10 on your Monday.

  14. Oromac's right. Your workout went well. If you are using 2 20lb db's it's time to graduate to the barbell, that's only a 5lb leap.
  15. I tried using some coconut oil as beard oil today. I've been smelling coconut all morning and it's making me hungry.
  16. Yes, bodyfat is notoriously hard to measure accurately. It's almost more trollish than the scale.
