  1. It was. I had it again today for lunch, even better the second time. I did and I feel better. Like you Sundays are a built in rest day. Unlike you, I don't spend them wishing I could work out I did, I haven't thought about nut butter. My grocery store makes fresh nut butter at a price cheaper than the packaged stuff, so I'm not sure if I'll need to make my own. The thought occured to me, if I use my magic bullet to make bullet-proof coffee, would that disrupt the space-time continuum? In other news, I may or may not have bought a can of pumpkin, put it in a bowl and added honey, allspice, nutmeg and cinnamon and eaten it for desert after lunch. I am fully in favor of Pumpkin ALL THE THINGS! but most of said things are not paleo, this was and it was delicious. Here's my report for the week. 15 lift days: Got all three lift days in for week one, even getting up early to do so: Rangered 36 Total Miles Run: 3.76 so far. I passed on a run day on Saturday to rest so I don't get sleep deprived and sick. It was the right decision: A Cook Paleo with no more than three variances and/or restaurant meals per week. I pushed it up to the limit on this one with the Chaplaincy conference, but I ate as paleo as possible while there, so I'm giving myself an A. Domestic Rangering: Got this done on the first day of the challenge (vaccuum once/week and clean bathroom once/week) A+
  2. It sounds like you feel like you aren't coping very well emotionally, and I'm sorry you're having a rough time. What I meant by adapting was that you are still finding ways to be active despite the hand, which is commendable, especially if you are in a funk. There are people who feel just fine and would use your situation as an excuse to stop everything. So I say again, good job.
  3. Congrats on the 10K! Seeing all the stuff you are tossing, I'm wondering if you were living in a CVS or a Walgreens...
  4. Respect to Endor. Encouragment through Challenge.
  5. And yet here you are, staying with the challenge. Keep up the good work and stay dry.
  6. I went to San Francisco with my parents when I was 14. It was the first time I had calamari. I had a blast. I kept looking around for Starfleet Academy and could never find it.
  7. The mountains will crumble to the sea, the stars will fall from the sky and the oceans will boil. Thanks a whole bunch.
  8. I can feel the confidence from all the way on the other side of the world. So happy for you.
  9. Thanks. Actually, there is a good sized team of chaplains in both places, which helps a lot. But I realized something when I got back. The four days I was at the retreat was the most consecutive number of days (four) I had been away from the hospital all year (no PTO yet since I'm still PRN). When I went back to work today I could tell how refreshed I was while visiting patients. Thanks, I'm looking forward to testing phase next week, I have been on a plateau with both Dead Lift and Bench. I was planning to run today, but felt very sleepy at work. I came home and took an hour and a half nap then cooked dinner, which was Greek Roasted chicken with braised spinach. I think the only thing that made the chicken Greek was the Greek seasoning. I put that on the chicken, browned both sides in a skillet then baked with red onion wedges and grapes. If you have never baked grapes I recommend it once in your life. The spinach was braised with already browned onions and garlic, to which I added the spinach, lemon pepper and apple cider vinegar. All the noms, I promise. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond because I had a 20% off coupon for an entire purchase. I needed a crock-pot (slow cooker) since the ex kept the one we had. I found a display on clearance that had a digital timer. Original price $49.99, I payed $24.99 and then took off an additional 20%. I also got a magic bullet since tomorrow's recipe calls for pesto and my little chopper doesn't handle liquids. All told got out of there with both items for a tad over $50. Still felt sleepy in the store, so I decided to take the advice I had given several people and rest. I feel like if I pushed it and ran I'd get sick. Probably getting up so early all week has left me a little sleep deprived.
  10. Sorry you're not feeling well. Don't forget to read your Bible.
  11. Next time there is an...edible I want you to start posting when the paranoia hits You're gonna roll into week 2 with so much momentum week 3 will hurt.
  12. That's really cool to see you moving around like that. Good job staying away from beer and Soda and have fun climbing!
  13. The only other time I had a contra-indication was when I took some rolaids while on anti-malaria medicine in Brazil. I got dizzy for a while and slept it off. Sometimes the same thing I described above with the melatonin happens when I take Nyquil, but it's inconsistent. Good job staying consistent on your goals and good luck tomorrow!
  14. Sounds like a good plan for next week. Especially since you are planning to stop at 2 drinks, and you said it's at three where you are likely to have a bunch more.
  15. You will make it. Keep up the good work. Who do we want to win in the election tomorrow so you get your job back?
  16. Sounds like a good first week. Stay strong while you are gone.
  17. The feral hog problem is so bad down here the state legislature passed a low allowing boar hunting from a helicopter. That's right, in Texas you can legally lean out of a helicopter in flight and shoot wild boar.
  18. Good job on the interview, and on rocking the suit. Corporate Ranger is now a thing.
  19. Why has Rowan not shared with the rest of us how to Inception people?
  20. I hear you, it must stink being so isolated.
