  1. Look, I don't care what you do with your British Maternal Figures, I want the story.
  2. I figured out how to fold the new way within three or four pieces of each type of clothing. My drawers look so good in my drawers. I forgot to mention I also did one round of the bodyweight portion of the KB workout. I'm glad that's all I did, given how tired I am now.
  3. It's working for us so far. That sounds amazing. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten. That all sounds amazing. Today is a good day. I got over 10K steps just being in the house sorting my clothes and helping Sra. Tanque. Sra Tanque had more clothes than I did, so she didn't finish. I completely emptied my part of the closet and the dresser, piled all my clothes together, sorted them (keep, donate, and trash), and reorganized them in the closet. I made a run to goodwill, bought more trashbags, we moved the dresser into the closet, we moved another piece of furniture into the bedroom, and I got Little Bit from Day Care. I was too tired to cook, so we went out. I have two empty drawers in my dresser, and two empty shelves in the closet. We will probably use them to store other things as we move forward with tidying. Tomorrow I'll help Sra. Tanque and work on Little Bit's clothes, as well as get groceries. We also have our site inspection for the solar tomorrow.
  4. I read an article GMA did a year or two after "Tidying Up" hit nextflix where they interviewed three of the families featured on the series. Every single one had kept their house pretty much in the state they were in the "After" shots. Apparently the method really does work if you give yourself over to it.
  5. Not to your face. At least not to your face by anyone possessed of a sense of self-preservation.
  6. Protein and fiber are your friends. Remember all those paleo friendly carbs too, don't neglect your sweet potatoes and fruit.
  7. The one who can unite the factions. Those socks sound awesome. Pancakes are boring to me. They are very one note in my opinion. Ok, those sound awesome. We started KonMari-ing our house today. We are on the clothes section, and tired but happy. It's already making a difference in our house.
  8. The club keeps starting meetings, but we keep giving up before we make a decision on membership fees and requirements.
  9. Regarding the spoiler, I'll post what I posted on another thread recently: http://www.thecruxmovie.com/pdf/TheBridgeShortStory.pdf Regarding the D&D group, is the problem people's houses, but the group itself. There is no guarantee that if you had your own house they'd be any more willing to gather in person than they are now. Also, from conversations we've had and things you posted in your threads, it seems you put way more effort into this group than they put into you, and that you give in to their preferences all the time and they don't do a lot of consideration of yours. Forgive me if I'm conflating more than one group, however, but don't they even pick a bunch of games you don't care for all the time?
  10. Welcome to the Rebellion. It looks like you're going to have to use a lot of will power to both go to bed on time and wake up on time to lift. Are there other times in the day that would work better, or is 5:15 the only time that would work for you?
  11. Talk of the Quiet Car reminds me of The Diogenes Club that Arthur Conan Doyle wrote about in his Sherlock Holmes Stories. It was a club of which Sherlock's brother Mycroft was a member and co-founder. Here is Doyle's Description: There are many men in London, you know, who, some from shyness, some from misanthropy, have no wish for the company of their fellows. Yet they are not averse to comfortable chairs and the latest periodicals. It is for the convenience of these that the Diogenes Club was started, and it now contains the most unsociable and unclubbable men in town. No member is permitted to take the least notice of any other one. Save in the Stranger's Room, no talking is, under any circumstances, allowed, and three offences, if brought to the notice of the committee, render the talker liable to expulsion. My brother was one of the founders, and I have myself found it a very soothing atmosphere.
  12. Welcome and well done. I believe for a while I tried to start team Bacon and Eggs. I'm glad you're here when you are here. Hi, and welcome as long as you want to stay. You speak wisdom. Enjoy the waffles sailor. It's an old tale, of rivalry between breakfast foods that are in truth more alike than they are different, stretching back to the time when the Doodlies operated in open secrecy.
  13. My Nerd Cookbook is my old challenges. Click on my profile, then click on "Track Activity" then on the left sidebar, click "Posts" You'll see my challenges (as well as any other threads I started) in reverse chronological order. I leave it to other, more willing parties to excise the recipes and collate them.
  14. Yes. Calling it a hamburger steak is really just an admission it's going to be served on a plate by itself, rather than put into a bun with veggies.
  15. Amazon lets you preview the first few pages, it seems interesting based on that. I'm glad then I only mentioned we were starting, rather than recommending the book for you It would be nice to imagine that such an implosion would cause the owners to consider their own culpability in such a situation, but we know that won't happen, don't we?
  16. If flitry coworker's flirting is unwanted, he has no business flirting. It's ok to tell him to stop. Enlist your lesbian mothers help if needed.
  17. Your challenge summary has a lot of wisdom, especially the part about keeping your current goals to build on your success.
  18. If I may say, we have all lived in a world where waaaaay too much scapegoating went on. All three of us, Bean, Flea, and myself, have been that scapegoat (and I had it far less). We don't need that imagery anymore.
  19. Remember, those trolls didn't fall to combat, wisdom was used to shine light on them. The light defeated them. You don't need to fight your trolls, just bring them into the light and let truth defeat them.
  20. That mill just screams "I will outlive you, and your grandchildren will use me to make things for their grandchildren."
  21. Oorrrrrrrrrrr You could figure out if some other cardio is less loathsome to you. You just won't stick with something you hate, and you'll burn willpower that could go to your other goals
