Im getting back into weightlifting and I have decided on the Starting Strength routine. Ive been doing some more reading on the plan and it seems like everyone recommends to just eat and eat a lot. Recommending between 3-4000 calories a day. This seems odd to me because I have been eating a much lower amount of calories in the paleo form lately. Is it still possible to consume this many calories and keep it clean? I also see that the Starting Strength plan recommends eating a large amount of carbs in your diet. I have been trying to eat a low amount of carbs (betwee 20-30%) of my caloric intake.) Mark also recommends drinking a gallon of milk a day. Now I LOVE milk but I have kept it to a minimum since it is not recommended on a paleo plan. That is a TON of milk to consume. Just wanted to double check what I have read so far.

There is a post on the main blog page about this. I have read it a few times and it has changed the way I think lately in my everyday life. Things like "Ill put the dishes away later." Then my "DO IT" attitude comes in and smacks the shit out of that attitude, and I walk over and put them away. Done, over with. I think the blog post was was called Priorities or something similar. If I can make time to sit my butt on the couch and watch a movie I better be able to make time to do the other more important things in my day.

Lefty here, but I pretty darn ambidextrous. Can pitch, bat, shoot guns, play basketball, etc all right handed.

Lefeux -- Very good choice of music there. We share the same taste in workout jams.

Hey everyone! Im Sean and today was my Day 1. Long story short I stopped hitting the gym and got a little overweight. I decided that today was going to be my Day 1 for a total renovation. Im sure why I picked this day because it was my first day back to school, new work schedule, and on top of it had to take someone to the airport at 4am. I was really starting to forget going to the gym today because it was going to be such a long day. My true NerdFitness kicked in and said DO IT and got to the gym. by 7am after being up at 3:45am and driving to the airport and back. Now I am sitting at my desk at work and feel awesome that I got off my butt and did it. I just wanted to share my happiness and introduce myself before heading off into the other sections.
