  1. Well at the end of this six week, i completed half of my goals... is there any points goes to me, or none? Please help me with rating, would you?
  2. Shame on me for neglecting my challenge updates this long. I was really busy with life... my new job needed full attention. The results: doubtful progress. I managed to cut back on cigarettes, but still not able to leave them all behind - however my 'coin-walking' skill approved a lot. My morning routine still includes coffee and one cigarette (it used to be at least two or three...), but not every morning starts with it, which is good. But sometimes i also skip the workout part of the morning too, which is not really good... yet i more and more often break the day with a bunch of squats - kind of 'punishment' and getting conscience calm. So it is not that horrible, i think. The main problem is that i live in active chaos, and it's merely impossible to organize my activities in 'timetable' style. And the other problem is that my two other goals.. well i think i have to give up on them, because my new job needs all my time and all my brain - so i don't have the time to write my final paper, or to go running. Instead i get up, go to work ( which i love) on foot (walking at least 1km a day), get home and try to improve myself for my job. That's all.
  3. Ohohhooo this is definitely my cup of tea !!!
  4. It sounds funny, but it's a good alternative and totally true... hands have to be kept busy. Today I was playing around all day with a chestnut in my hands... weird. I think the 'pen method' would be less odd for the others to see
  5. About last week - no progress. Unfortunately this is the only expression with which I can describe those days... of course I have my excuses, but even I don't believe them. So this week I gonna put on my hard hat, and try to do my best. As the challenge is still on
  6. Happy Happy B-Day for you:) ohhh... and THANKS for mentioning Dawsy's barefoot running guide! I did not even know it was exist or how much I'm interested in that topic
  7. I've certainly decided to follow your advice and give them a few days recovery. I think I would switch to 2 sets of 10squats and 10 push ups for a while. I need to postpone my runnings because of the weather anyway :/
  8. Oh, thank you! I haven't even thinking about icing them... maybe i will shoot 'em with some cold water after my workout. Or reduce my jumping to 10 mins, and/or do some squats instead. Maybe the 20 minutes i was jumping today was too much for my lovely calves... i should really return to the original plan of '10 mins jumping'. thank you again both for your quick reply and great idea.
  9. Thank you all for supporting me day after day. it means me a lot now, i need some help... so the problem is, that because of my jumping routine, my lower calves are in constant pain. It is not surprising of course, but I thought that my average stretching exercises right after my jumping workout will solve this... but really, they don't. I had to realize that they do not even stretch that particular area. I tried to stretch them in ad hoc ways but it was not quite successful. Do you have any solutions for me scouts?
  10. I used to run, so I think I'm gonna follow my 'own plan' - I'm from a really sporty family, and my father helped me to set up my program. He knows my abilities best, so I can really rely on his advice. My main problem was WHERE to run in my town, as I am into longer distances. But fortunately I found a site about running routes in the town and I'm so eager to try them Anyway, thank you for your advice
  11. Well, i had to realize this morning that till today, i did my rope work-out totally WROOONG... i can't believe i forgot about to put on some music while i'm on to jump the shit (here it means 'toughts about coffee & cigarettes' out of myself !!! BUT this morning it all changed and as a result I was jumping continuously for 15 minutes (instead of 7 ) yeey And I enjoyed it even more this way tomorrow morning i'm planning to go up to 20 minutes; we will see... and as for cigarettes - i've had five of 'em till now, but - to tell the truth - it will probably end up seven again... but it's fine for me, as long as I can keep them under seven from now on and going under this limit for the end of this week. by the way, as I'm improving with jumping and the 'cigarette issue', I think I can start the 'running' part of the plan (as my lungs probably won't collapse after two minutes , and SHOULD starting the writing part too, as I have my deadline at the end of November.
  12. On cigarettes: I only took seven of them yesterday, and it's quite a progress for me. I also made some progress with my morning routine, as my shameful five minutes jumping increased up to seven But I still have to work harder on my two other goals...
  13. 1. Rule number one... cardio. 2. Catch me if you can. 3. Gone with the wind.
  14. Sooo... if I get it right: from now on I do these lovelies any time I feel for doing them, till the 1st of October; and then I count them altogether and sign on the sheet. Right?
  15. Well, I was thinking about punishing myself 20squats/ cigarette, but your idea seems lovely too
