  1. Great list, bossman! Beast skills... I think I've read some of that. I know I read up on his step-by-step process on how to perform a muscle-up. Remember with grocery shopping...it's best to stay on the outside section of the store..that seems to be where all the healthy good stuff is, lol. And have fun with the climbing/truck/apartment shopping! Sounds like one good ole time waiting to happen! Wolf

Love the goals, sick profile pic, and I wish you the best of luck I just started bouldering about a month ago, and it seems since then that I've noticed how many "climbers" we have on the forums. I can understand being cautious after all that happened, and it's terrible that it did... But I know you'll come out stronger and better! Shoulders are sooooooooo important. They are to your upper body like your hips are to your lower body. Make sure that shoulder(s) are full healed before you start mad cranking on some v7's I just want your climbing career to be long, healthy, and rewarding! Can't wait to follow up on your progress the next 6-weeks! Wolf
  4. @Wolverine Hahaha that's kickass bro! Yea it can really kill your fingers and hands after an hour or so next time just increase your rest time after each send/climb... I've noticed that's what keeps me in the game longer... That and a little consistency, lol. You'll be fine Wolv, just keep at it!! I agree with both of you guys.. Something sharp but not a sword cuz it's too cliche... And throwing knives are wicked! I've always liked the idea of dual kukari knives. Think the 3rd Resident Evil movie. They are great for hackin 'n' slashin.... This is a process. Rome wasn't built in a day... Neither will the infamous vigilante superhero, The Wolf @Kibcy Yea go back again... Keep at it, both you and Wolviedill. Climbing has to be a regular thing b/c the muscles you use... Lol. Generally you can't work those climing muscles without, well, climbing haha. But in my opinion, bouldering and climbing is a PERFECT skill for any assassin to have.. That and Parkour Wolf
  5. Hey everyone! The Flash is my favorite superhero.. Wally West to be exact, but I've always been a little curious about it... Does The Flash practice/use patkpir when speeding aroind the world? Only because with the power of the speed force and what not, he can essentially materialize through objects. Which in that case he wouldn't use or really need parkour... I dunno, just thought this would be a cool topic to ramble about So, whatcha think? Wolf
  6. Sooo I've been posting a lot of my phone... Which is why there may or may not have been weird words... That would be stupid ass auto-correct. It corrects when you don't and doesn't when you need, lol. So I don't have the cool options like quotes and all the other crazy smileys from a mobile standpoint. So if I'm saying "@" followed by a name... It's cuz I'm on my cellular device.... Anywho. @Kibcy Don't be discouraged by the basic routes.. You'll be stronger in not time. Climbing is 90% mental anyway... So when you climb next, just be free. Don't have a care in the world and just... Climb The parkour run was great... And I started thinking in an odd way about how a good superhero vigilante such as The Wolf would HAVE to be awesome at parkour/acrobatics. Which means I need to get my body stronger. I'm prolly gonna put on a little weight but I wanna be resilient. @Wolviedill Heck yea bubba! Get you sum!!! But in all honesty, you're the man bro... I'm trying to be more like you! How'd it go btw?? @thewolflord YES!!!! It's pretty wicked and I love how you are doing parkour for your goals.. It's highly addictive Today was a SUPER light day. I worked out a little in the morning, nothing special, but gonna do some heavy lifting tomorrow.. I wanna bulk juuuust a tad.. Maybe get back up to 185 or so. Cuz I'm pushing 180 on a good day.. Roughly 178.. At 6'2. Basically really, really lean. I want a little more Umf behind me, lol. I've also been throwing around the idea of rp'ing again but this time making it about the vigilante superhero The Wolf! Also... What kind of weapons/ gadgets would I use? I would love everyone's input on helping me create this awesome alter ego Wolf

  16. @Kibcy Yay!! That's amazing! I'm so glad you had fun it's some challenging stuff, huh? Climing is a lot about your legs. I would say it was more in the verge of being a 70/30 split. You're legs naturally carry your bodyweight around every day so there's no exception when going vertical I'm not sure what the 3+ is but it sounds awesome! I'm proud of you for going, Kib! Are you hooked after one time?? I've decided to switch my goals to climbing 2x a week at an average of 2hrs and have at least 2x a week for parkour training and BW routines. Yoga and "fix the fam" are still in place, though I had a badass 30 min parkour run yesterday and felt amazing!! I hate that it's cold out, but oh well, lol. All this makes me work even harder to get our gym open... Cuz I love climbing, a lot, but if I had access to a parkour gym... My prior goals would be reversed: 3x at the parkour gym and at least once a week climbing. I realized how bad climbing has suffered on my stamina... So implementing more parkour seems the most beneficial, which is why my goals are changing. PLUS... The Alpha Warrior obstacle course is gonna be way more stamina/muscle endurance oriented. And bouldering doesn't really build that stamina for me Going on that parkour run yesterday was great though.. It made me realize why I still and always will have a passion for being an urban ninja Wolf
  17. @Church Thanks bud!!! Always appreciate your comments I'll be climbing a couple days next week, prolly Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, so I'd love to compare some notes man! Oddly enough my inspiration for wanting to get I to climbing had to do with Nathan Drake and Laura Croft... They are survivalist badasses who can climb ANYTHING... I wanna be up there with the greats, hahaha Things are gonna get better on the home front, I'm making sure of that. Hopefully I'll get to train a little today... If not, a good ole rest day won't hurt! I'll play it by ear.... Wolf

I need to win that Alpha Warrior run, cash out at like $2000, and put it all towards the new baby and Heather staying home for a couple months... I'm starting to want to alter my goals a little... And take away a climbing day to add in more parkour work.... Hmmmmm... Decisions... Decisions.... The only reason I say do that is because parkour is my main love for fitness and I've neglected it recently. It had become the red-headed step child... And I resent that comment being a red head, lol!!! I'll make a decison by tomorrow... Cuz tomorrow I'm traing PK!! I got a sweet spot picked out Wolf

I couldn't say it any better myself I've only just started indoor rock climbing, more specifically bouldering.. but the taxation on your body from climbing is almost TOO much to endure most other trainings. Yoga is GREAT to pair with climbing as it really improves flexibility and helps w/ strength. I think if you wanna do more rock climbing then do it. It's an amazing sport and you will drop weight and BF%...cuz good climbers don't have much of either of those lol. ME being 6'2, my weight fluctuates around 175-180lbs at about 8% BF. With climbing, it's not the siz of the muscles but the strength to weight ratio I hope that helps? And good luck bro, prepared to become super addictive to it! Wolf

Today's workout...just finished about 30 min ago. No climbing tonight, most likely parkour tomorrow or Sunday.. and Bouldering at least one of those days as well. Dynamic warm-up w/ Mobility: Inch worm x2 Wolf crawl x2 4 rounds of: (1st two rounds used 15 lb DB's- last two rounds used 20lb DB's) DB Chop- 10, 10, 10, 12 (switch sides after each round) DB thrusters- 10, 10, 10, 12 Offset DB reverse lunge- 10, 10, 10, 12 (switch sides after each round) Rotational DB straight-leg deadlift- 10, 10, 10, 12 (switch sides) Single-leg, Single-arm underhand-grip DB row- 10, 10, 10, 12 (switch sides) Stretch/cool down I'm gonna start taking pic's of the boulder problem's I end up sending...that way to give more visuals. The goal is to just stay healthy and stetch often! I've done... 1, maybe 2 V3's but I consider it sheer luck, haha. Too bad we don't live close, I'd love to climb with you! I forgot to mention in my 1st post that I banked at Christmas... I ended up getting about $160 in gift cards to my local climbing gym!!! THEN, when I went to redeem them, since my 1-month was getting ready to expire, they had a special. 6-months for $175! So between that, and getting a big ass roll of climbing tape, I spent $21 outta pocket and have till June 2nd of this year. I'm wicked stoked about it if you can't tell. Thank you very much, Aeryn! I receive those kind words I'm not worried about my upper body strength or core strength when it comes to these competitions...more my stamina. So I'm hoping and praying between parkour and personally training I can really hit on that. I'm not a treadmill runner... I much prefer outdoorsie runs...or scenic runs. Which in Texas isn't too scenic, lol. So I try and find other ways to build my stamina. Aw, thanks, Sea Level! I like your "adjustment" as well, lol. I'm glad to be back posting! Yesterday was the start of becoming more beast then man. Here was my workout: Dynamic Warm-up: Inch worm to Wolf crawl x3 Mobility work 4 rounds of: Box Jumps: 10, 10, 10, 10Med ball side pass: (both sides) 8, 8, 8, 8 ( I did this w/ my buddy, Jarred)KB swing: 20 sec (each arm)Handstand push-ups on the wall: 8, 8, 8, 8Goblet squat w/ KB 10, 10, 10, 10 Cool down: Static stretching THEN.... After work I went climbing for about an hour in a half. I warmed up with some deadhangs on different grips, 10 barbell squats @125, and some mobility. I continued my warm-up by sending 5 V0's. Then I messed around on some V1's and this one V2 I really wanna get without assistance. There's an unmarked hold I kept using to get myself where I needed to be, so the goal is the send that without the assistance. I ended up working on it 5-6 trys. I really need to focus on rest times when I boulder. Some days I do good. Others I don't, lol. I try and go about 3min rest for each send, unless its a difficult one that I've exerted a bunch of energy...then probably around 5min of rest. But, some days I shorten the rest times on purpose.... Why, you ask? It's a great way to train muscle endurance and climb every so often when your pumped. It's fun stuff I also traversed for a little bit, then played "Add-on" with Mike. We only played for like 10 min before my hands were screaming at me! We both ended up leaving shortly after... CLIMBING IS SO EXHAUSTING... but I love it. My diet's been a tad outta whack since everyhting went down 3 weeks ago... So I gotta start disciplining myself more, and that started 2 days ago.... Not sure what today's gonna hold, but I'll keep everyone updated! Wolf
  24. NICE! BW is always good and since you're already fighting gravity...why not do it with you body. The best way to progress threw any body weight training is limit your leverage w/ gravity and I know you're gonna kill this challenge! Handstands are a blast do.
