  1. I hurt soooo bad! But it's a good hurt! Did my first 5k!

  2. Look at you, darling! Blasting through and being fab! I am so glad that you are enjoying all your new found everything! XXOO
  3. Started W30 with Mama on Sunday. It's be going ok. I am still recovering from the challenge, and not much in the mood for working out :-( I have been walking, though. I did the AppleFest 5k today!!! It was my longest run ever!! I am soooooo proud! The time wasn't my best, 51:58, but I finished! AAAAAAAAND I lapped everyone standing on the side of the route drinking. So :-P to all the lazy drinkers!
  4. Hello all. The last two weeks have been HORRID, absolutely HORRID. The whole gluten challenge thing really messed me up- my tummy and my migraines. The last 5 days have been especially painful. I had 2 migraines in 4 days that took me down for the count for several hours, even with taking my "as needed" med on top of my prevention med. My blood was drawn today, so no more gluten challenge! I felt so out of it with the challenge, I didn't really workout the last 2 weeks. I do have a 5k coming up on Saturday, so I am suuuuuper excited for that! Today starts Whole30 with my mama! Sooooo exciting!! In addition to the Whole30, I am going to pick-up weight lifting again, along with working on my distance/time on the elliptical
  5. I can do a 15 second plank before I start swearing... I think I can get up to a minute... but I am so adding a 2 min plank to my ab routine
  6. Darling- I am so proud of you, and everything you have accomplished! You will succeed!
  7. so... I had a personal best today- 5k in 39:13! Last week I did 4k in 36:47, so that's a marked improvement! YAAAAAY!
  8. Well, despite eating bread, I've managed to get down to 194. Also, I did 5k in 39:13- which is amazing because last week it was 4k in 36:47! The AppleFest 5k is next Saturday, so I hope to get better times between now and then. Lastly, my mom is going to be doing W30 with me- which we are starting on Sunday. I am getting my blood drawn Monday morning (I have to fast) for the Celiac panel. Based on how I have been feeling, I am thinking something is going to show up. And if it doesn't, I am going to go with gluten sensitivity- again, based on how I have been feeling the last week and a half. That is all for now!
  9. I've decided that while I am doing the gluten-challenge for my tolerance panel, other than my 2 pieces of bread per day, I am going to follow W30. My body has just acclimated to that, and every time I introduce something that W30 doesn't "allow", I end up sick. And, to me, it's not worth the agony. So... yep. That's my plan!
  10. seared tilapia and seasoned broccoli tilapia- filets equal to number of ppl eating butter garlic powder onion powder salt pepper 3-4 heads of broccoli, depending on your love of broccoli (I can eat 2 heads on my own) thaw tilapia (if needed) season tilapia with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper preheat pan. spray with pam, if desired. place tilapia in pan, top side down. brown until cooked portion is more than uncooked portion (i hope that makes sense!) flip tilapia filets. put in a big dollop of butter and let melt and become a pan sauce for the broccoli- before cooking the tilapia chop florets off of the broccoli, and place in microwaveable dish. cover and cook on high for 4-5 minutes, checking doneness after 4- while this is cooking, put the tilapia on take broccoli from microwave and mix in 1-2 tbsp of butter, some garlic and onion powders, salt and pepper to taste
  11. "garblecoughcough" is the best number ever! And YAAAY for n00b Rangers!
  12. NF Challenge Day 2: Today was a cardio day! I did 4k in 35 minutes! A personal best on time AND distance! Since I am doing a gluten challenge, I had 2 pieces of toast today- both topped with butter and jelly. I am going to need to rethink my toppings because the jelly was just toooooo sweet! Post-workout lunch was a bag of thawed shrimp and 2 big glasses of water. Dinner was a seared half of a chicken breast topped with spaghetti sauce and Diaya mozz, with a side of gluten-free corn spaghetti. While I could have had regular spaghetti, I'm not trying to kill myself- I am going to stick with my two pieces of bread per day. Tomorrow is weight lifting day! YAAAAY!
  13. I'm doing the double-bra-thing, right now. Ill fitting sports bra underneath a better fitting regular bra. It seems to be working pretty well
  14. Hello everyone! I am sooooo excited to join the Rangers! This is my *garblecoughcouch* challenge! I am actually counting this as my 2nd challenge, as last challenge was the first time I actually committed to the challenge, and nearly rocked out the whole challenge! *so proud* Main quest: lost 50 lbs. I am 4 lbs into my main quest! YAAAAY! Side challenges (for this challenge): 1) Weight lift 3x/wk- following the program John gave me (STR 2 STA 2 CON 1) 2) Cardio 3x/wk- 2x/wk in the gym, and Saturdays out in nature! I am training to do a 5k on 5 October! (DEX 2 STA 2 CON 1) 3) Pray every night- if I can work on myself spiritually, than I can better work on myself physically (WIS 2 CHA 2 CON 1) I was going to have another food-oriented side challenge this time, but I started a gluten-challenge today to test for gluten-intolerance in 2 weeks. Once I am done with those 2 weeks, I am going to do W30. But I am not putting the W30 forth as part of this challenge. I shall post stats and pics tomorrow!
  15. Hello Rangers! I am throwing my hat into the ring with the Rangers! I am currently on a train, so my internet is super buggy, making it hard to post stuff. I will start my new challenge thread tomorrow! I cannot wait to meet everyone!

  17. Hey there, party people!! I didn't drop off the face of the earth, I promise! I have just been busy. I kinda-sorta completed this challenge. I kept up with my eating goals, but my fitness goals were ptthhhhhhppppppp. Let's start with stats, shall we? Starting stats weight: 199 chest: 47" waist: 47.6" hips: 46" Finishing stats weight: 195.0 (4 lbs lost!) chest: 45.5" (1.5" lost) waist: 46.5 (1.1" lost) hips: 46.5 (.5 gained-- maybe it's the squats?) Now, for my quest and missions Mane quest: lose 50 lbs-- well, 4 lbs have been lost so far! Missions bodyweight work out 3x/wk-- HA! That's a joke. But I did change the body weight workout into weights, using a program designed by my personal trainer cardio 3x/wk (walk, run, prancersize with Thor)-- I did 3k in 26:47 last week :-) Prepping for the AppleFest 5k Whole30, than following the ISWF coming off whole30- I did not successfully complete W30. In an overall grade, I would give myself a C.
