  1. There is a PVP challenge that is about increasing your max pull up here. You should enter!
  2. Points are from Fitocracy and I'm too lazy to edit them out. Deal with it. Standing Military Press: 30 lb x 5 reps (+48 pts) 40 lb x 5 reps (+52 pts) 50 lb x 5 reps (+55 pts) 60 lb x 5 reps (+59 pts) 70 lb x 5 reps (+64 pts) 80 lb x 6 reps (+72 pts) Dips - Triceps Version: 20 reps (+73 pts) 20 reps (+73 pts) 20 reps (+73 pts) 20 reps (+73 pts) 20 reps (+73 pts) Dumbbell Bicep Curl: 20 lb x 10 reps (+26 pts) 22.5 lb x 12 reps (+28 pts) 22.5 lb x 10 reps (+27 pts) 25 lb x 9 reps (+27 pts) 20 lb x 12 reps (+27 pts) I'm used to fast paced HIT workouts so this was kind of awkward. Standing around a few minutes resting between the main sets. Especially since the first three are "warm up" sets.
  3. I like "Do all the things!" because I love Allie Brosh and her depression makes me depressed. Maybe she'll see this and be less depressed.
  4. I love pumpkin everything. My friends think I have a fetish or something. I just really REALLY like pumpkin flavored things. One of my favorite things that I've been making about 4 times a week for dessert is this Takes about five minutes to make and is so good. I use Gold Standard Chocolate Malt Whey and it mixes great. Also, once you do a 5k mudder/obstacle thing you should totally sign up for the Tough Mudder. It really puts a 5k in perspective. Especially, since they put a sign at the 5k mark saying "if this was the Warrior Dash you would be done, but you still have 9.5 miles to go."
  5. I was just doing P90X but only the chest and back, shoulders and arms, and legs and back routines. I cut all the cardio out. I'm going to start the 5/3/1 workout plan. I've always hated doing barbell lifts.
  6. My goal is to become a manbearpig. #1 Eat like a pig. I've always eaten only when I'm hungry and only until I'm no longer hungry. Which is really good if you want to be a skinny stick. I no longer want to be a stick. So I'm waking my ass up earlier so that I can actually have breakfast. I just found this recipe, it tastes good and covers a huge portion of my calorie goal. Goal: Eat at least 3,000 calories a day as cleanly as possible and gain10 unrealistic pounds #2 Become a bear. My arms have always been the hardest part of my body to increase in size and definition. Everything else is fine. But damn these T-rex arms. Goal: Religiously do 5/3/1 and increase my 1RM on the big 4. #3 Be more manly. I don't think its possible. I mean have you seen my bitchin car? Actually, I would like to take up a new hobby/sport. I've been wanting to get into rock climbing but my friends are lame and content with being lazy or full of beer or both. Most likely will end up riding my dirt bike if it's cool enough. Goal: Go to the rock climbing gym a few times even if that means dragging a friend. #4 Achieve Nirvana. I was recently informed by my boss that my PTO (paid time off) accrual is getting too high and to take a damn vacation. Apparently, having 4 weeks of PTO is to much. Goal: Go on a damn decent vacation at least 7 days long.
  7. You want me to work on a Chevy?! That's blasphemy! Kidding!
  8. My friend just bought a 2013 GT a couple weeks ago. He is itching to race mine. Couple days after I got it A few weeks ago
  9. Hello Everyone, About me: My name is Jason and I'm 26.5'8" 145lbs ~12% BFI live in the unbearably hot state of Arizona. I spend my days playing with Excel formulas so I don't actually have to do any work.Graduated from ASU with a BS in Accountancy (I know, it's a sexy degree.) I'm a gear head and I've been restoring a 67 Mustang over the last 12.5 years (It's a never ending project.)My fitness history is a little spotty. The first time I stepped foot in a gym was when I was 20. I messed around like a n00b on the circuit machines and then would play racket ball with my dad. I was probably pushing 125lbs soaking wet. That only lasted a few months. When I was 22 (2008) I started hiking a lot and eating more which raised me up to MAYBE 130. After about a year of that I hit a hard emotional time in my life and dropped a lot of weight because eating was just too much work. I sought professional help and started working out hoping to boost my mental state into a more normal level. I attacked P90X with intense fury. I worked out every day, got the six pack, was starting to feel better. and then BAM! I laid down my Harley on the free way and got up close and personal with the asphalt while my bike took out the rear axle of a SUV. Well since I couldn't even hold a pencil after that my workout came to a screeching halt. After I finally stopped bleeding everywhere and could move my hands I had lost motivation. In April of 2011 I found out about the Warrior Dash the day it was happening. It looked interesting so a few months later I registered for a California one in October so that I would be motivated to workout. I really pushed myself and started running for the first time in years. Around August I found out about the Tough Mudder happening January 2012. I registered for it and picked up my pace in running. I finished the Warrior Dash and had a blast. I was more excited for the Tough Mudder since it seemed like more of a challenge. I completed the Tough Mudder in 2 hours in 30 minutes, and was in the top 5% of finishers that day. I was invited to attend the World's Toughest Mudder but decided not to attend as much as I want to. After the Tough Mudder I stopped working out and let myself go. A couple months ago I registered for the SoCal Super Spartan in January 2013. I jumped back into working out and have been lurking /r/fittit constantly. I've been trying to bulk up and raise my weight, which is incredibly hard for me. I average around 135 when not training and 145 when I am working out and eating about 2200-2500 calories. My goal is to have more definition in my upper body, mainly my arms and to weigh about 155lbs with around 8-10% BF. I know what I need to do to achieve this but I've always stopped short and inhibited myself because I eat like a bird so I can't pack on the weight, and I hate going to the gym so I can't effectively workout the larger muscle groups or do the workout plan I really want to do. I plan to change this very soon. When I stumbled onto this site last night I thought about how great an idea it is, especially the challenges. I have a few challenges in mind about how to reach my goals.
