    AoE's 6 week challenge

I plan on going for a nice walk and a short run when I get home. I need to rework my work out all together. I end up pushing myself too hard to make up for off days, lazy days, rest days, and hurt/ sick days. Not only that but for some reason I am just not feeling into anymore, need to find sometime to keep me going. I read other people threads and am amazed at what they are doing. I have a lot going on, I know that isn't and should be an cop out, it really is all that bad I just its more of a case of I don't wanna. Need to get out of that mind set, need to stop talking about, and start being about it. I have been failing my self by not doing the stuff I set out to do. Well it stops today, when I get off from work today, its go time, just need to do it.

    AoE's 6 week challenge

Ok update time... 9/27/12 I took the day off because I was sick 9/28/12 Thanks to the vocal styles from the likes of Mike Ness, Flogging Molly, the Dropkick Murphys, and also Johnny Cash I ran a 10:02 1.00 mile flat. I really zoned out there. As I can to at stop to rest a little bit there was a small group of teenagers laughing at me. So on my way back home I jogged pasted them to the pull up bar busted out ten pull ups, ten sit ups, ten push ups, and I did ten burpees for the hell of it. I am tired now, and Borderlands 2 is calling to come play.
  8. Hey Amphion, Good work so far, keep it up. I can tell you that I think myself in pretty good shape, but my lower back hurts a lot from work. I go see this chic that gives me massages because it gets to hurting so bad, (she says that it is my glutes that make my back hurt), anyways it helps out a lot. If you get someone that knows what they are doing they can tell you/ or show you things to pull, or rub that helps the pain some.
  9. Yeah, i understand. My main goals are to make me more active, and get use to being doing something. But I dont feel all that great today, hope I feel better tomorrow, going to have to push myself twice as hard.

    First challenge

I think you are right on track sir. You seem to leave yourself with very little room to be like ok well I kinda pass. I like it. Good luck, Hang in there. You can knock your challenge right out of the park!
  11. I want to, but I am feeling sick today. I will try and knock a bunch out when I try and workout tonight. But I dont know if I will even make that. Maybe I will try and do a small work out and include those in a lunch work out if I feel better in a couple hours.
  12. I am sorry I am still new at this and never heard of what needs to be done. Am I right after watching a couple videos that you need to jump down, do a push up, jump up, then start all over again?
  13. Wow you are really knocking it out! Keep up the good work! I wish I worked as hard as you did in your workouts...

    AoE's 6 week challenge

jimmie65- As far as injury goes with the car wreck, I was just banged up pretty bad, beat up a little. I am lucky to be alive. I was real sore I couldn't do anything, I just got lazy, started smoking again, and just did not care. I did try about 3 months after and I had so much pain in my body I gave up. jacob- I remember that! Haha I forgot about that, til you said something. I was not trying to show you up then. That was way back in the day about what 4 years ago? Back then I did not need to know how to do something, I just made it happen. Now a little more aged, and a little slower I gotta push myself just a little harder. cacklesmadly- Thanks for the kinda words! I think that I will just keep pushing myself as much as I can with in reason. I am already trying to plan my next go around. I am just right now trying to get back in to being able to knock things out with out a problem. Went for the daily walk today, with my dog. I know he enjoys being out and about, but I think he is getting tried to being active every day. I will post a picture of a tired dog soon. I also tried to do my first hand stand, and try to start doing the hand stand push up. Well the hand stand did not last very long at all. I will try again friday.

    AoE's 6 week challenge

Well all the low numbers are from not working out for over a year after a car wreck. Not only that but I work at a small automotive shop six days a week, sometimes do to something being a little too heavy for me, or just doing a really big job can take its toll on me. The Saturday numbers are me working out right after I got home from work, about a 30 min drive. I was tired, and hot, before I started, but made myself do it.

    AoE's 6 week challenge

Thank you very much, I knew I needed to push myself, so I did. But I kinda think that runkeeper may of got my time and how far I went wrong. I guess I will walk the same way I ran last night and see how far it says I went.
  17. Those are some nice goals. Good luck, you can do it! I think the hardest part would be making yourself work out, well that is my hardest one anyways.
  18. Good luck on your goals, you can do it. You seem to have a very well put together plan. I wish I had mine put together as well.
  19. I think I like that best. Is there away to get that on a NF shirt? Also sorry but I am new and I am having a problem with getting my Ranger sign showing up in my sig. I dont know what went wrong can anyone give me any pointers on what to check?

    AoE's 6 week challenge

Update time. I started working out with at 20 lbs Kettle Bell only to find out that it is a little to heavy to be using for some things that I want to. So I will be looking at picking up a slightly lighter one this weekend. Saturday 9/22/12 I "worked out" to find my max. I needed a baseline to find out where I need to start. I was pretty upset, I thought I was faster/ and stringer. Which is one reason I signed up to do the 6 week challenge. Esp after my 21 min and 26 sec 0.86 mile run. I was told Sunday that was a good walking time. I knew that I needed work right then and there. So here I am. I will list my workouts here from Saturday til Tuesday. My runs will be listed as 00:00/ 0.00, time/ length of run, and anything that has to do with the Kettle Bell will be listed as KB XXXX. Saturday 09/22/12 Pull Ups: 10 KB Swing: 20 Sit Ups: 10 KB Squat : 6 Push Ups: 5 KB P to P: 20 Run: 21:26/ 0.86 KB Sit Ups: 10 KB RT: 10 Sunday 09/23/12 Nothing, I cooked a brisket all day. Monday 09/24/12 Walked a 22:50/ 1.17 mile. Tuesday 09/25/12 Pull Ups: 18 KB Swing: 20 Sit Ups: 34 KB Squat: 7 Push Ups: 15 KB P to P: 30 Run: 14:31/ 1.36! KB Sit Ups: 20 KB RT: 8 Added to new things to the workout KB Push Ups, and KB Rows KB Push Ups: 3 KB Rows: 17 Now the new run time worried me, I thought that I was wrong with the time and how far I went, but I ran with someone else. I ended up running away from them. But we check each others info and it was pretty much the same for the length. I guess that I just needed to knock the rust out of myself. As proud as I was of myself for the time and all I felt like I was going to get sick, instead of die, like I felt like on Saturday. I guess its time to reset my goals, and workout? Anyone got any ideas?

    AoE's 6 week challenge

Thank you very much! I signed up the right way now. You are one of very few people who seems to understand the name, well one of the few have ever said anything about it anyways.
  22. Hello All, I would like to join the 6 week challenge, and become a Ranger. I am sorry if this is the wrong way about doing it. If so please let me know. 1(Fitness) Knock a min a week off my run, while taking my run to a full mile. 2 (Fitness) Prepare my body to do some of those handstand push ups, by starting with doing 60 secs against the wall, after I am able to do this try for longer time and work my way from the wall. 3 (Diet) No fast food for six weeks at all. Pack lunches for work, start eating breakfest, etc. 4 (Life style change) Work out three times a week, and walk at lest one mile every day. 5 (Getting rid of stress) Being a side goal, filtering though the stuff and getting rid of 2 totes of stuff that I have been hauling around for over 20 years. I have a lot of stuff that my mother gave that she has held on for a very long time. My starting wight is 185 lbs. My run time that I plan on beating is 21:26 for an 0.86 mile. As far as the fast fooding I normally eat out about 3 times a week. I havent worked out in a very long time. After a car wreck I feel back in bad habits again. And last but not lest I need to get rid of a lot of stuff. I bought a pull up bar and kettle bell for working out at home for once a week, the other to days I plan on working out at a gym with my soon to be wife. I think my goals are do able. If anyone has ideas on some work outs that I can to help I am all ears. Anyways for those that care AoE is from my other online IDs Army_of_Ender. I will be turning 30 this year, and getting married soon. Its time to get to cleaning up my life style and become stronger and faster. I am a gamer at heart. I work on cars for a living. My end goal is to move back to the country, and become self sufficient. I think that this is just the first step that I need to take to get that done. Level 1 Ranger STR-3 CON-1 DEX-3 WIS-3 STA-2 CHA-3
  23. Hey, I am new too. Good job on the quiting smoking. I think that I am two months in this go around, not sure. I stopped counting because I dont want it in my life anymore. Anyways welcome, good luck on your goals. I am working on mine right now to post soon.
