  1. Where to start? So...much...pressure... Ok. Here we go! Stats: Height: 5'3" 2014 Starting Weight: 193.8 Current Weight: ~175 (I have no idea, but going by clothes I can fit into and past scale obsession, I'm guessing 175ish) I can run 5 minutes without dying. Once. As in, I can't walk for a bit and then run another five minutes. I can use 8-pound dumbbells for most exercises. Though I usually want to cry after. Long-term goals are mostly undefined at the moment. Here's what I have so far: To be in my size-four clothes again because they're cute and taunting me. To run a whole 5k without slowing down. To have an energy level appropriate to a 20-something. To hear my doctor tell me I'm at a healthy weight. I haven't heard that in a minute. To stop feeling inadequate in the kitchen. Cooking is not my thing but it needs to be. A couple life goals: Keep getting my business off the ground. I'd like for it to eventually pay the mortgage if not more. More would be awesome. Learn Mandarin (marrying a super-awesome Chinese man). Complicating factors: I have scoliosis. It's a moderate S-curve that causes all sorts of fun things like pain and poor posture. Strength training helps with this considerably, but there are bad days for sure. I also had knee surgery a year ago that didn't go so hot. Turns out my knee didn't bother to form properly when I was a child and it finally went postal on me. Rehab has been a witch. I still can't put all my weight on my knee and I miss yoga. But the more I've worked out this year, the better it's getting. Slow and steady, right? I don't consider these factors excuses that justify sitting on my butt. I've just had to learn ways to work with them. I modify exercises and skip ones I know I'm absolutely not ready for. Diving in headfirst is not the best route; I'll just get injured and go back to my couch-potato ways. So there you have it. I'm working on my plan for the next six-week challenge. But I'm getting my battle log going now because waiting until April 14 makes zero sense. Feel free to say hi, friend me, message me, whatever. I'm looking forward to getting to know y'all!
  2. I'll stop posting my workout info and food stuff in my first challenge thread, and start posting them here from now on. You know, like I probably should have been doing from the start? Cheers
