  1. I've searched this forum, but if it has been asked before someone please direct me? I found a thread similar but it was about working out.. Now I've looked on the internet and other forums etc, and all I can find in regards to periods and exercise/weights is that they can become lighter or non-existent. I am usually light anyway, due to my pill but last weekend I woke up in the night and was sick with stomach cramps. I thought it was food at first but when I woke up my period had started? And like I said my periods are usually light and start light but this came out heavy. This is my second period this month, whilst taking my contraceptive pill? This has happened before this year but I put it down to spotting, although it has been heavier.. Mum suggested my training? Been lifting heavier since about May.. anyone heard/had an experience like this? More suggestive that they are periods is that my boobs get really sore, this first period this month my nipples ached even if my clothes brushed on them and they were sore this week and a bit bigger, bloated stomach, cramps.. and I'm spotty - which I hate because I am not really a spotty person? I have cysts in my ovaries, and had a large one removed a couple of years ago..
