My primary goal is FAT loss, and I will place the official marker for success at 15% body fat. This is a long term goal, I am currently at 31-33% fat, depending on the day, based on my bio-impedence scale at home. I am 5'9", 210 pounds, so assuming the 31-33% fat figure is correct, my lean weight is 145ish pounds. So if we take my 15% goal, and thus divide 145/.85 (MATH!) we determine that I am aiming for approx. 170 pounds of total body weight. How do we get there from here? Goal #1: Eat PRIMAL, as close to 100% as possible, but knowing, planning and ENJOYING the occasional carry in dinner at church, or monthly GAME NIGHT snacks at my place. Low Carb, fat loss primal at that, so meat first, some veggies, very little starchy veg or fruit at this point. Goal #2: Fitness, based on Primal Fitness standard, for the next six weeks, I will LHT (Lift heavy things) twice per week and sprint weekly! LHT is bodyweight plan, from Primal Fitness, have averaged 1 workout per week over last 5 weeks, goal is to get to 2 per week as recommended. Goal #3: Walk a LOT! I know this is part of fitness but I want to put a specific STEP goal in here, and I am going to set this at 40,000 steps per week. I just looked back over the last 4 weeks and have 2 weeks in the mid 30s and 2 weeks in low 40s, so I think this is a good stretch goal for the immediate future. A little bit of information about me. I have been overweight and obese most of my life, and finally reached a breaking point a few years ago. I made the life altering decision to have weight loss surgery and had gastric bypass September 2011. I have dropped since then from 355lbs to my current weight (210 pounds this morning) and have maintained this weight loss for nearly three years now! This allowed me to change my life in SO MANY ways. I am much more active (exercise is EASIER at this weight!) and trained for and finished a full 26.2 mile marathon last fall (Oct 2013.) My next big "thing" is to complete a Spartan Sprint. I am working on upper body strength now, wanting to be able to do pull ups and dips for the first time EVER, knowing there are obstacles that will require that ability. I have done the USMC mud run here locally a couple times, 5k and obstacles, but I think the Spartan race is the next level. I am 44 years old and I have been married nearly 15 years now, there are no kids, just us and the dogs! We spoil the heck out of our nephew though and the dogs too! (Shih Tzu is the wife's dog and mine is the Aussie Shepard/Border Collie mix) My career is in Accounting, I do a lot of work with Finance and I am the go to "IT guy" here at our small CPA firm. My NERD cred comes from being a long term gamer, starting with red box D&D in the late 70s, early 80s all the way to Pathfinder. PC and console gaming as well, from Colecovision to my XBox One and Alienware laptop. Stacks of board games as well! I am not really sure which direction to take in the future here. I am actually more of an all around Adventurer, I want to dabble in almost all the things. Hmm, is BARD a class here yet? (I do play a bit of guitar and sing so...holy crap I just figured out I am a BARD irl...) JeepN3rd
