  1. Ranger Log, Entry 1 -20 F this morning, -28 F right now, and looking to hit -44 F tonight. I've just started a new semester, and went to the gym before my first class. 15-min walk to the gym, 1/2 mile warm-up, followed a modified Darebee workout focusing on abs, arms, and cardio. Did some cool-down walk and stretching. Total time: about 1 hour. Trickiest thing is keeping nutrition on track. I'm cutting out fancy coffees and trying to calculate serving size more accurately. On the plus side, I've completely revamped my pantry so it's nearly totally paleo, and no junk food. I'm kind of dependent on measurements for progress because I'm pretty sure my scale needs re-calibrated and I've yet to figure the best way to do that. I really hate having my pictures taken, but I'm toying with the idea of a youtube channel (private) video-log as a means of visually tracking progress. MWF I have a 7am Multi-Fitness Conditioning Class at the student gym with my WingSister. This time of year it is HARD to stay dedicated, and this was the only class that worked with my schedule. Planning ahead!

  3. Heyo! I've actually been a member for a year, but that's been more maintenance than progress. Never really looked at the forums before, which was a bit of a mistake on my part. Lesson learned. Started my battle logs couple weeks ago, and here's this part. Technically a respawn, but also technically a first-start. Merh. 29-year old female, currently a full-time college student because reasons. Current: 173 lbs, measurements 39-37-41, body fat approx 29% Goal: 150 lbs, measurements approx 37-26-37, body fat approx 20% I'm putting measurements and body-fat percentage (even as approximates) because I don't want to get hung up on the scale. The calibration on that thing is a bit iffy on the best of days. Having the alternative numbers gives me something to shoot for, and if I need to revamp due to miscalculation of reality, I'm good with that. I've been glorious and wonderful with food-journaling (which is new, in the past I've hated it.) 3 week streak! Working out is also going fairly well. There's two free-for-students classes at the college gym that I'm attending (one on Monday, one on Wednesday), and tomorrow I'm scheduled to meet with a personal trainer to get a workout plan figured. I know there's the ones offered at Nerdfitness, but I'm a lazy bum and want/need someone to push me in person. At least to help me set the base parameters. For glory and loot!
  4. So, it's been a few months since I've posted here on NF. I'm sad to say that I've fallen off the fitness bandwagon and have been slow to restart. I was in a pretty good routine (morning stretch/workout, mid-day walking breaks, healthy eating), but that all kinda fell away when I sustained a foot/leg injury. So, those 25lbs. that I'd shed are back and I'm feeling as crappy as I every have... probably more, knowing that I've taken such a colossal step backwards. Between the weight gain, the lack of exercise, a few negative life experiences, I don't even FEEL like trying anymore. But I know that's just my brain stumbling over speedbumps. So, consider this my re-commitment to a healthier lifestyle. I hope that I can make some lasting changes with the help of NF and it's awesome community.
