  1. Hello Rebels, I'm SmashingPixie and this will be my first Nerd Fitness challenge. I am a 5'7, 28 yrs old, and today I weigh in at a whopping 173 lbs. I have always thought that the health and fitness community took itself way too seriously, and had no sense of humor. This and many other reasons have provided me with ample exscuses in order to avoid dealing with the wight gain, and increasing lack of activity in my daily life. I recently found Nerd Fitness and became inspired to change my sedentary deskjockey status, and SAD diet, finally admitting them as the likely causes for a number of health issues ranging from depression and insomnia, to chronic IBS. I since have switched from thinking of cheese-flavored crap in a bag/box as it's own delicious food group, to eating a clean Paleo diet, walking, light lifting with Kettle Bells, and doing some bodyweight exercises for the first time. I started on my Weight Loss Quest 6 weeks ago (or as I like to think of it: Training to be a Badass) at that time starting out at a weight of 198 lbs. I have currently lost 25 lbs out of my goal of 68lbs. I will do my best to post every day. I will state in every daily post whether failed, met, or surpassed my goals. I will also post data from my "Moves" iPhone app with information about my walking distance. As a person with a long history of disordered eating, I will only be weighing in at the 3 wk and 6 wk points of this challenge. However, I will post periodic pictures and measurements throughout the challenge. main quest: lose as much weight as possible in good health while gaining strength and agility goals: consume under 100 grams of carbs per day on a paleo diet walk at least 2 miles every day weightlifting or kettle bells 4 days per week day 1: chest - shoulders - abs <----traps on shoulder day day 2: biceps - triceps - back <----these are my week points day 3: legs, mostly squats day 4: calves - forearms - traps - abs life quest: no more smoking
