I discovered that a Chinese veggies can replaced pasta. On Choy or water spinach is a type of veggies you can find in Asian stores across the US. It has hollow stalk and deep, soft green leaf. It's really delicious in the stir fry. It's super delicious with garlic, soy sauce, and chili pepper. However, sometimes you just want something more fun or Western to play around (I am Asian, most meals I cook are Asian food)... I threw them into an oven, and the stalks turned out similar to Penne pasta. With other ingredients mixed in, I finished before I could take pics, sorry. But I'm sharing what I did anyway. Also, as you may notice at many home style Asian cooking. We don't measure stuffs. Every time we cook, it tastes different, but it's still delicious. (Sorry-- not exactly the recipe guy. I am new in the food room) Ingredients 1. A fistful of On Choy, coarsely chopped 2. A large tomato, diced 3. A stick of carrots, coarsely sliced 4. Optional: 3 slices of Bacon, squared 5. 1 lime, juiced 6. 2 teaspoons of olive oil 7. Salt 8. Chili pepper 9. Dillweed 10. Garlic powder 11. Optional: 1 tablespoon of wheat flour (makes it goopy/ crispy, but not necessary for the taste) 12. Black pepper Prep 1. Heat oven to 425 F 2. Dump the veggies into a bowl. Followed with bacon. Dump every ingredients in and use a tong to mix 3. Spread it over an oven pan. Evenly. Stick in in the oven. Wait 20 minutes. Voila. Serving : It alone serves 1 very hungry adults. Over rice, it may cover two reasonably hungry adults. Let me know if you've tried it and whether you like it or not!
