Hi everyone! I'm 21 y.o., female and I'm 98 lbs. 98 lbs for 5'2" is quite underweight for my height (108-115lbs is the normal range) and I want to gain some weight but do it using the healthiest and most sustainable way possible, which is ofcourse, done through a proper diet and regular exercise. I run 30 mins on and off but I started doing it on a much more regular basis 2 weeks ago. i started noticing that my legs are improving but my arms felt like they need to catch up, so I decided to hit the gym the other day and I was taught by a friend to use the machines. I really loved the feeling of making my muscles cry from some weight and I thought that I'll probably enjoy lifting and getting much more strength and bulk this way. So I did more research and it turns out that doing some free weight lifting is the best way to go and that machine-aided weight training isn't the most efficient way to gain strength/more muscle. So I'm wondering if any of you guys can help me in terms of how much stuff should I eat and what types of lifting that I can do to achieve my goal weight of 110 lbs? I kind of have an idea in terms of what to do next time I hit the gym, but I'd like to have more insight as to what I should do since I'm just starting out at this. If it's possible, i don't mind getting examples of meal plans and gym routines and maybe a few random tips too And is it true that I should stop running if getting buff is my goal? Thank you!

Hi all, I'm a pretty scrawny guy at 5'7 and 148 pounds. I'd like to bulk up a bit as I hear a good weight for my height is at least 155 pounds. Trying to get on a good meal/workout plan and looking for good suggestions/resources. I'm looking for a healthy (possibly Paleo) bulk up meal plan. I thought the NF Academy had a bulk up meal plan, but I can only find their slim down plan. Does anyone have a good resource for this type of meal plan? And how long should I be on a eating plan like this? I'm thinking of doing the bodyweight brigade as a work out plan while eating more than I burn off. Would this be a good plan to bulk out on? With these plans will I just end up a little more doughy from eating more or end up another year of being skinny fat?
