  1. DAO Spoilers We saved the circle, big sigh of relief. I know Morrigan is not happy we saved it but we have our first allies! Wynne, the mage who helped us in the tower, has decided that life in the circle is not for her anymore and wishes to travel with us. Wynne’s alright and we can always use another to fight the darkspawn but she’s sort of old so I worry about her. She has some mad skills with magic though so that will help. Wait what... Once back at camp, Alistair suggested we go to Redcliffe for support next. With Loghain spreading lies about the Grey Wardens, we will need a powerful noble ally. Alistair seems convinced that Arl Eamon will be that ally. Redcliffe Village PT 1 - Gaining allies #2 I swear everywhere we go something is wrong. This can not be a coincidence! Redcliffe seems to have a problem with waves of undead attacking them as the sun goes down. "Walking corpses? Do you think it's something in the water?" - Leliana. The villagers have not heard anything from the Castle and fear the worst. I don’t blame them. Being the helpful bunch my traveling companions and I are, we’ve decided to stay and help out. We also need to get into the castle and this seems to be the only way to do it. "These people don't deserve what has happened to them. We must get to the bottom of this." - Wynne Help Redcliffe Villagers : Not everyone can fight and those who can, don’t seem to have the weapons to do it. Redcliffe Village’s mayor, Murdock, has asked that we help get the villagers prepared for a long night of undead battles. We will need to get weapons for those who can fight & food for those hiding in the Chantry. Food Quest: More protein : over 50g of protein (5 out of 7 days = Collect 1 supply bundle of food per week) Life Quest : No credit card spending & make payments: Villagers can only be helped if I don’t use my credit card. For every credit card purchase, 1 villager doesn’t get helped. Villagers helped goal = 25 (weapons) Take back Redcliffe & get into the Castle (Each week will have a different focus): Exercise Quest: 2 Cardio & 3 BWW Getting to the Core of the problem: Exercise Quest: Plank progressions everyday Front Plank (On Elbows) Plank (Push Up position) Side Plank (Elbow/Knee position)
  2. DAO Spoilers Last month was a good month, I swear! We did good and we’ve even expanded our little travelling party to include 2 dwarf merchants, Sten a Qunari killer, I mean warrior, and Leliana a Bard/Chantry sister. We helped the villagers of Lothering as best as we could. Once we found and made camp, we got word that Lothering had been overrun by darkspawn. It’s important, now more than ever, to find allies and use the Grey Warden Treaties. Alistair, Morrigan and I have talked about the treaties and we decided to head to the Circle Tower first. Circle Tower - Gaining allies #1 Welp the Circle has gone to hell in a hand basket, Blood magic, abominations and Templars calling for the Rite of Annulment. Time to save the broken Circle, no matter how much Morrigan complains! Seriously she is always complaining! The Templars said we could go up the tower but in order for us to get out, we must find First Enchanter Irving, alive. We need to save as many mages as we can and get to the top of the tower. On our way up the tower, we ran into a group of mages fighting off an abomination. Wynne, one of the mages asked to help us save the circle so she is coming with us. Looks like we might have a chance at rescuing some mages after all. Since we cleared the way to the exit, the group of mages are going to wait there until we come back with First Enchanter Irving. Each week’s completion gets us a cleared floor, last week of the challenge will be the top where First Enchanter Irving is. Top of the Tower We need to find First Enchanter Irving and I'm pretty sure he is at the top of the tower. Nothing with this journey has been easy so I'm only assuming. We need to get to the top of the tower.! I'm not looking forward to all the stairs, gah I’m still so out of shape. I never imagining so many stairs when I wanted to go on adventures with Duncan. Exercise Quest: 1. 2 Cardio workouts & 3 Body Weight Workout a week Save the Mages Wynne, you know the mage I mentioned before wants to make sure we save any mage we see and clear the way for them to run back to the main floor. That means cleaning up the place, fighting blood mages and other magical beings but at least she is coming with us. You would think I'd be less trusting of a mage from the tower who wants to help. Wynne just seems like good people. I swear I'm not usually this trusting... Food Quest: 1. Meal Plan & Meal Prep on weekends & Track food. Kill the Abominations There are 3 boss abominations that we know of, each floor has one our group must defeat. These are desire abominations and will try to sweet talk us at every turn! Resisting temptation will help defeat these abominations. Food Quest: 1. Limit Sugary foods (Week 1: 6 items per day, Week 2: 5 items per day, Week 3: 4 items per day & Week 4: 3 items per day) & Soda days (wk 1 - 3, wk 2 - 3, wk 3 - 2, wk 4 - 2) Look for survivors While we are making our way to the top of the tower, we need to keep our eyes out for any survivors. The tower was filled with mages and templars and someone has to be alive. Life Quest : 1. No credit card spending & make payments. Survivors will be found and helped only if I don’t use my credit card each week. For every credit card purchase, 1 survivor doesn’t make it. Survivor goals = 20
  3. I died last challenge and am reloading to my last saved point. Time to go at it again but only after making some adjustments. You live, die, reload and learn right?? Oh welcome back! If you are here to see how we did against the Darkspawn you might be disappointed. I know I’m pissed as hell! Let me fill you in. Alistair and I did get to see a little darkspawn action while we raced to light the beacon in order to signal the army. When we got up to the top we fought this wicked big troll, which we totally killed. We barely managed to light the Beacon and send out the signal. The coward Loghain turned tail and King Cailan’s army fell. Duncan fell. Alistair and I only escaped because Flemeth, the witch of the wild, saved us. Now it’s just Alistair and I, we are being hunted and the Grey Warden are considered traitors. Flemeth has offered help and has instructed her daughter, Morrigan, to travel with us. Lothering Alistair and I are being hunted, the Grey Wardens are being called traitors, and we don’t know what to do. All we know right now is that we are the only Grey Wardens left here and the Darkspawn are coming. We can’t stay and help every town we travel through but we can help them defend themselves. Morrigan really hates this idea. Free the Qunari prisoner : There is a guy, well a Qunari, just hanging out in a cage. He’s not much of a talker and it sounds like he might have done something horrible. Right now we could use all the help we can get so I’m going to see if I can get him to come with us. Turns out, in order to free the Qunari prisoner, we need to talk to the Chantry, since they have his key. To help out the Chantry we need to help the villagers and make a weekly donation to their coffers. Need to make a donation to the coffer 2 times a week in order to free Sten, that’s the Qunari’s name, and take him into our custody. Exercise Quest: 1. 2 Cardio sessions Thoughts from last challenge : I need to be less picky about what I consider cardio. Do I need to go to the gym? Yes, but that’s not the only way I can get in cardio. Take care of the bandits : There are bandits everywhere in Lothering. They’ve come to take advantage of travelers and block the Imperial Highway. In order for the villagers and fleeing refugees to move on, we are going to make travelling a little safer. I mean we are in the middle of a Blight, so safer not SAFE. Exercise Quest: 1. BodyWeight Workout 3x a week Thoughts from last challenge : I need to be less set in my ideas of what I think qualifies as a workout. I don’t need to do 10 exercises for it to be a workout or follow one of the workouts I want to get in. As long as the effort is genuine and I’m working hard it will count.. Make Health potions : There are a lot of people here in Lothering. Lots of refugees and some of them have been wounded. One of the villagers said that health potions would go a long way in helping the refugees and current villagers survive another day. Think of the children!! Goal is to get 60 health potions for the village! Food Quest: Add more veggies! I will acquire 1 health potion for each handful of veggies added to a meal. Thoughts from last challenge : I did really well getting in veggies last challenge so I’m going to up my game here. I’m not going to limit my goal but open it up. Collect Toxin for Traps : Some of the local farmers need help protecting their farms and have asked us to help them make their poison traps. I know a guy who can make the traps so we are going to help the farmers by collecting 4 toxins for the traps. Life Quest : Take out the trash every week. Thoughts from last challenge : I’m not limiting myself to just garbage. Yes I’ll still take out the garbage each week but I have items I’ve been holding onto for no reason. I have a Grill I’ve been wanting to get rid of, some bags of paper I need to take care of and a decorative plate I want to sell or donate. I won’t let the people of Lothering down again.
