  1. This Challenge's Theme Song: by Muse The theme of this challenge is to enjoy life. The past couple of weeks have been filled with ups and downs. Tragic events that have not directly affected me, but that hit close to home have come right after another. Each time, I've felt pretty down, but I've also learned that life is short and that we need to enjoy every last moment. I thought on this as I completed my half marathon yesterday and a feeling of joy passed over me as I realized that I was doing something I always wanted to do but I was unable to. So, I decided that this challenge will be based on joie de vivre! Goal 1: Play as Exercise (+1 STR, +1 STA, +3 DEX, +1 Wis) I'm kinda tired of all the exercises I'm supposed to do. Pushups, pullups, weight lifting, running blah blah blah. Sure, they're healthy, but I'm a kender. I get bored. So this time, I'm going to exercise the way I want to exercise. And that means playing and trying new things. I will be working on parkour, dancing, handstands, yoga, pilates, gymnastics, all of those really fun things that I feel I am now strong enough to start taking on. Every day I will dedicate at least 30 minutes to playing and trying these exercises. I will be mindful of my movements and I will discover what I am able to achieve. Goal 2: No More Pinterest Procrastination (+2 WIS, +1 CON, +`1 CHA) I did Whole30 twice and I loved it. But it was very strict and kinda boring. I felt as if I was missing out on some good things because it was so restrictive. Though I appreciate why it was, I don't feel the need to do it again this time around. And now for something completely different... I have spent the past year or so pinning healthy, wonderful looking recipes to my Pinterest recipe board. Out of 100+ recipes I may have tried one or two. Now is the time to enjoy this wonderful food, to enjoy the cooking process. I will try at least one recipe on that board per day. There are some easy recipes on the board so even on those days where I'm super tired and don't want to do anything, I'm still covered. Goal 3: Meditation Tea for Dessert (+2 Con) Sometimes enjoying life means taking some time out. I decided instead of doing full on meditation, I'm going to do something a little different. I'm going to have a cup of tea for dessert every day. I am going to be very mindful of this tea. I will sit in a quiet place with no distractions and drink the tea fully until it is gone. Every day. I have never stuck to mediation as a habit before, though I have tried for years. This is my baby step. ​Goal 4: Dance-Cleaning (+1 STA, +1 CHA, +1 WIS) I have had a little trouble with keeping my house clean. I have two young children, I work out, I try to stay social and I am a student. I have a lot going on and sometimes things slip through the cracks. I have accepted that at this point in my life that a sparkling clean home is not going to happen. Fighting this will only be an uphill struggle that will end in misery. So I decided that instead of doing boring old cleaning I will spend 30 mins each day tidying and cleaning my home with the music on and my booty shaking. Full completion of these goals will give me a total of (+1 STR, +2 STA, +3 CON, +4 WIS, +2 CHA, +3 DEX) Current Side Challenges: Old People Parkour Posse Assassins Mini-Challenge Because I'm recovering today from my half marathon, I will begin this tomorrow. In addition to this I'm going to continue going to the gym, but I'm going to take the fun classes that I really want to take but often skip because I feel like I should go to other classes. Let the fun and games and the enjoying of life begin!
