  2. GREETINGS REBELLION!!I am Wraiven but those whom know me well call me Mitch Jnr. I have been working on leveling up my life and developed my quest log in a way to grow, not only for me but for the benefit of those all over the world. Since I can remember I have always been a very giving person and gathered joy from tasks that not only helped me be a better man, but also to help others grow too. Since my Father (Mitch Snr) passed away started really struggling with depression and anxiety in recent years and it's truly effected my growth and attitude towards what I always believed of myself. It could be chemical or it could just be my mind trying to avoid the pain of failing... But that's not gonna happen! Since joining the Rebellion I decided to dedicate a whole year to trying to change some lives and it's really had an Impact on me too.17 has always been my favourite number soooo I decided in 2017 I was going to do a Charity Challenge called 'Songs and Smiles' to help raise funds for Kids with Cancer, Mental Illness and Poverty/Famine. This requires me to do a song a day to bring smiles and provoke thought/nostalgia every single day and then people could share and possibly donate if they could. A simple premise but alot of people seem to like it. So far we have raised over $5000 and had 250,000 views on Youtube. My Dad always wanted to help kids with cancer because when he had it he always beleived he had lived and they deserved a chance to aswell, so I am doing this all in his memory and I hope all of the rebellion can join me too and become a SMILE SAVIOUR!DONATE: http://bit.ly/2iRw2vO GOFUNDME: http://bit.ly/2jXoQ5f FACEBOOK: http://bit.ly/2hFp6UY TWITTER: @MitchJnrMass <3 Mitch Jnr
  3. G'day all, I'm Dan, the new Nerd Fitness Rebel Family Correspondent, Steve has granted the very important (and very awesome) task of writing about all things family for Nerd Fitness (you can check out my first article here). I'm a father from Adelaide, South Australia with two (soon to be three) amazing kids. I work as a fatherhood specialist in a large non profit organization, where I help other dads become the best they can be. In my work I run prenatal classes, playgroups, fatherhood courses, provide counselling and opportunities for parents and their children to bond. I'm super excited to be writing for Nerd Fitness, but I really want to know what all you parents (or parents to be) would like to read, or learn more, about? Through my work, qualifications, and life experiences as a parent, I have a wide range of knowledge relating to parenting, sleeping, eating, child development, mental health, sensory issues, pregnancy, pre and postnatal health, relationships, and much more. So let me know what you Rebel Parents would really like to see on the Nerd Fitness blog. I promise I'll try to keep the dad jokes to a minimum ('Dead-lifts'? More like, 'Dad-lifts'! Amirite?!)...I'll show myself out. Also, feel free to get in touch, either just to say 'G'day!', or ask a question at any time. -'Down Under' Dan.
  4. Hi everyone! My human wife is expecting. Expecting what? Identical twins! How does that happen? The only thing I can think of is that I have some fairy blood, and the Fey side is expressing itself. Obviously! Anyway, that means it's time to: 1) Prepare for having a child. This is my first, so... How? What? huh? 2) Prepare for having another child. Simultaneously!!? And so, I set out on my journey, spear in hand, to baby-proof the apartment. Main quest: TWINS!? zOMG. Form healthy and flexible (but firmly established) patterns of living that I can maintain even while twins newborns are in the house and I am exhausted and my wife is exhausted and everyone is frustrated. Deadline: I've got like three months MAX to prepare. As an extra challenge, twins are likely to be premature (and underweight too!) so I probably have less time than that. IT'S GO TIME! Health goal #1: Establish exercise routines that (1) I do regularly and (2) which are baby safe and are (3) time-flexible and (4) fatigue- and frustration-friendly. Health goal #2: Alter my diet in ways that make food preparation faster and easier without increasing my weight or sacrificing nutrition. Losing weight is fine (I'm above my ideal), but my goal here is to prepare to maintain. Baby prep goals: Prepare for baybehs! #1: De-clutter my home like a madman, because more clutter is coming. #2: Learn! SO MUCH TO LEARN. #3: Do the things that people normally do later on, because I would rather do them now when there are not babies in the way. Like electrical safety precautions and stuff. #4: Etc!? AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! #5: Freak out. #6: Breath. Okay, breath. It's okay. Other life goals: Make time for myself! Draw or paint regularly, and figure out a way to make that happen once the babies come.
  5. Alrighty, then... time to get this done! MAIN QUEST: To weigh 190 lbs by September 8, 2013, and to have a body fat percentage of <15% by Dec 31, 2013. Mission #1: Eliminate soda and other sugary drinks from my diet, completely. I currently drink around 500 calories a day in soda and other sugary drinks. By eliminating these, alone, I shed 3,500 calories (that's one pound) per week from my diet!!! I will replace these drinks with 100 ounces of water each day, supplemented by teas (unsweet) and coffee (black) as needed for now. A: No sugary drinks in a day; 100 ounces of water. B: No sugary drinks in a day; 75 ounces of water. C: No sugary drinks in a day; 50 ounces of water. D: One sugary drink in a day; 50 ounces of water. F: 2+ sugary drinks in a day or <50 ounces of water. Mission #2: Prepare (and eat) five Zero Willpower Eating System meals each week. The ZWES was designed by Six Pack Shortcuts. It focuses on preparing healthy meals on Sunday and freezing / refrigerating for consumption throughout the week. Five meals a week is a great start, I think. Next challenge around, I will kick this up a notch. A: Five ZWES meals in a week. B: Four ZWES meals in a week. C: Three ZWES meals in a week. D: Two ZWES meals in a week. F: 0-1 ZWES meals in a week. Mission #3: Perform Six Pack Shortcut exercises five days a week. I will start with their Insane Home Fat Loss program for two weeks, then switch to the Six Pack Shorcuts program with two extra workouts of IHFL each week. A: Five SPS workout days, with two extra sessions of IHFL. (Or simply five IHFL workouts the first two weeks.) B: Four SPS workout days, with two extra sessions of IHFL. (Or simply four IHFL workouts the first two weeks.) C: Three SPS workout days, with one extra session of IHFL. (Or simply three IHFL workouts the first two weeks.) D: Two SPS workout days, with one extra session of IHFL. (Or simply two IHFL workouts the first two weeks.) F: 0-1 SPS workout days, or no extra sessions of IHGL. (Or simply one IHFL workouts the first two weeks.) LIFE QUEST: Start every day with an Hour of Power, and a Next-Day Planning Session every night. My Hour of Power will consist of: My workout Deep breathing exercises Gratitude Bible reading JournalMY MOTIVATION(S) I am so frustrated by how difficult it is to play with my kids. I feel sore and winded every time I try getting down to play with them, and that makes me cranky and unable to be totally present for them both. Also, I want to enjoy adventures with my wife and keep my... umm... bedroom stamina high! I want to be able to devour her on a regular basis (and have her WANT me to devour her because of my sexy abs and arms)! Finally, I am sick and tired of being seen as the un-athletic friend! I enjoy playing sports, but I lack motivation because I feel winded and unable to perform at the level of my friends. NO MORE! My wife, Rachel My daughter, Kate (1 yr, DOB 4/18/12) My son, Jack (1 mo, DOB 6/25/13)
